01:57I was hearing that the Estonian and Ukrainian language is very different, not the same at
02:16all.
02:48Let's go.
02:51Relax, relax, relax, relax, relax.
02:59It's done.
03:01Hit number three.
03:02Eliminated.
03:04Hallelujah.
03:09Nice.
03:10Let's go.
03:13That's it.
03:17Hallelujah.
03:25Hello.
03:26Hello.
03:28Good quality, a little basketball downstairs.
03:31Now it's Ukrainian language.
03:32Okay.
03:33So let me introduce, this is Yulia Zaleta.
03:36A lot of subjects of Ukrainian language, but also we have one more main language in our
03:42school, it is Estonian language.
03:44And actually lots of subjects we have in Estonian language in order to learn this language.
03:51Lots of lessons of English, even speaking club with native speakers.
04:05What was that?
04:07The best.
04:08The best.
04:09The best.
04:10The best.
04:11The best.
04:12Yeah.
04:13The best.
04:14Maybe you can like...
04:15We write the same in Ukrainian language, but they have different meanings.
04:18So actually these three words are difficult even for us.
04:22Okay.
04:23Yeah.
04:24So that would mean three different things.
04:25So it means medical, and what does it mean here?
04:28It's like healthy.
04:30For example, plants are healthy.
04:33Herbs.
04:34Herbs.
04:35This one is about continue learning our native language.
04:40And the school gave us lots of new opportunities of how to live in a new country, how to adapt.
04:49Yeah, so we have very active school life here.
04:54I'm sure.
04:55Has it been difficult settling in here over the years?
04:58Have you found it hard knowing what's going on at home?
05:02Very good.
05:03It's looking forward to the future in a positive way, isn't it?
05:07It's very good.
05:08Even Ukrainians are better in the UK like that.
05:10They're very resilient and very strong about things.
05:13You don't mind if I pop it over?
05:15Yeah.
05:16Okay.
05:17Yeah, go for it.
05:19So this is made by our students in our school.
05:22Yeah.
05:23On the lessons of NCOT.
05:25So I think that you can make it for yourself.
05:28My daughter will try and probably post it later.
05:31Thank you very much.
05:32I like the Ukrainian colors.
05:34Hello.
05:35Thank you very much. I like the Ukrainian colours, so I do. Thank you.
05:42Hello, teachers.
05:43Teachers, hello.
05:44I'm afraid I'm doing your professional disservice by trying to speak Ukrainian in the studio.
06:02We exchange our experience and we support our children altogether, so it's really a good experience for all of us, I'm sure.
06:10So, the main point was to make Ukrainian students correlate with us.
06:17What sort of conversations are you having with the students now?
06:22It's a very difficult conversation because he saw that it's very difficult.
06:33Some of my students, they sat in the basement and they felt very scared.
06:53I'm sorry.
06:54Don't do it, please don't.
06:55I'm very nervous.
06:56I've got all the language people in mind, so it's no problem.
06:58I more study Estonian language and sometimes in my head it's like mixed from Estonian and English, Ukrainian, Russian.
07:10Have you noticed a lot of them come out of their shells since they've been here?
07:13Have they blocked you, some of the students have blocked them since they've come here?
07:17Absolutely, yes. And how I can tell is that they helped me.
07:21Learning math in your native language is hard enough.
07:25Trying to learn math as a Ukrainian in Estonia must be quite tricky, isn't it?
07:29Yes. Well, luckily math is universal, so I get some help from actually math, but again, the vocabulary is there, so we can't miss that.
07:40It's very nice to chat to you.
07:43Thank you very much.
07:44It's very good to talk to you.
07:47Thank you very much.
07:50Estonian language, I'll remember it.
07:52I'll remember it as well.
07:53I'll find more Ukrainian as well.
07:54Thank you very much.
07:55Thank you very much.
07:56Bye-bye.
