00:13Okay, what did that mean to you?
00:15Well, she's my first celebrity crush way back in the day.
00:17That was my next question.
00:18Yeah, it means everything.
00:19I think professionally, you know, Reba is one of my favorite artists ever to do it in the entertainment industry.
00:24She's really kind of conquered everything you can in that space.
00:27Yeah, she is actually a legend in country music.
00:30She's one of my favorites and one of my best friends has a huge crush on her, so it's funny to hear you say that as well.
00:35Yeah, I love that.
00:36Well, she's in my house tonight.
00:37I hope that she walks the carpet.
00:39Yeah, maybe she will come down.
00:41That'd be amazing.
00:43Okay, so tell us what it's been like to be inducted with Blake Shelton.
00:49I mean, you've been on tour with everybody.
00:51I know. It's been awesome.
00:52Tell us about that.
00:53Yeah, Blake and I really hit it off last year on tour.
00:56We've become hunting buddies.
00:57He's had me out to his space in Oklahoma to hunt a little bit, which has been a lot of fun.
01:01We do the Opry Hunt every year together, too.
01:03The Opry Hunt?
01:04Yeah, that's right.
01:05Tell us about that.
01:06It's a 60-year-old tradition, I think.
01:08A group of guys get together once a year, and we've kept that tradition alive.
01:14It's all about fellowship, getting to kind of sit around the fire and pass the guitar and talk about our years, what's coming up.
01:22You know, to have camaraderie like that and a brotherhood like that is pretty cool.
01:25I was just about to ask you about brotherhood and country music.
01:28It's just a genre that focuses on family, and it seems like that transitions into all of your music.
01:34Can you tell us about that?
01:35It definitely has.
01:36I think most of my buddies in the genre have started out as single guys.
01:41Now I have a bunch of kids.
01:42I've missed that boat so far, but maybe we'll work on it one day.
01:46But yeah, it's amazing.
01:48I think country music is all about where we come from and what life is.
01:53I'm here at the Opry tonight because my family loves country music.
01:56It's what I grew up listening to, and watching the Opry was part of our routine each week.
02:01Tell us about your favorite fan moment in your career.
02:05Me as a fan?
02:06You as a fan.
02:07Or a fan of my show?
02:08Exactly both.
02:09Okay.
02:10My favorite thing is whenever people share about, hey, our first concert was your show, and it was our first date together, our first concert together, and we're back married with kids, and the kids are there.
02:21It's like, wow.
02:22I did that.
02:24Yeah, we brought two people together, and now we have a family.
02:28I think that's awesome.
02:29That's such a special moment.
02:30You're forever a part of their family.
02:32That's really cool.
02:33It is.
02:34It's great to share, obviously, that moment with them, but also it reminds me as a songwriter.
02:39Every day as we go on to chase what's going to be the next song that people get to hear, it can change lives like that and make lives.
02:45I think that's really epic about getting to be a songwriter.
02:49You said that your buddies all have families and everything, and you're single.
02:54Would you want a family?
02:56Is that something that you're looking forward to in the future?
02:59I think there's a balance.
03:01I've been enjoying just chasing the dream and the freedom.
03:04I think there's going to be a time for that in life.
03:07I do see the greener pastures when it comes to being settled and having something to come home to.
03:16With my schedule right now, I'm scared to have a dog, so I stay busy.
03:20I say yes to a lot of things.
03:22My team loves and hates me for it because I'm always on the go doing something.
03:26There's going to be a season for some settling down, I'm sure.
03:29Since you can't have Reba, who's your celebrity crush?
03:33Oh, my gosh.
