00:00Two of the biggest names in business are teaming up.
00:03General Motors and NVIDIA have announced a partnership that will allow GM to use artificial
00:07intelligence chips and software in its vehicles.
00:10The carmaker will also use the technology to improve workflow in its factories.
00:14Of the deal, NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang said in a statement,
00:17The era of physical AI is here, and together with GM, we're transforming transportation
00:22— from vehicles to the factories where they're made.
00:25We are thrilled to partner with GM to build AI systems tailored to their vision, craft
00:29and know-how.
00:30General Motors declined to reveal how much the new deal would cost.
00:34This isn't the first partnership NVIDIA has made with a carmaker.
00:37Toyota and Hyundai both enlisted NVIDIA to help improve their autonomous driving capabilities.
00:41China's BYD, Germany's Mercedes-Benz and U.S.-based Rivian also have deals with NVIDIA.
