00:00Let's move on to Isaac Price. Let's talk about something positive. We've talked so much about
00:03him. He's been an absolute revelation since he's come in. His versatility is massive,
00:08which seems to be a massive theme with Bill Cole. He started on Saturday with the centre-half playing
00:14left-back. He can play there and we know he can play there. A central midfielder playing
00:19right-back, right-wing back. He's played as a ten, he's played in the middle.
00:23He's just got so many good attributes, Isaac Price. Going forward, high energy, tackling,
00:30I'm going to change the debate up a bit. I think Isaac Price will be a Premier League player.
00:37I think he is someone who Albion have bought. He's got resale value. He's very young.
00:42He's someone who has all the attributes for the Premier League. I'm going to stick it on you,
00:47Coxy. Will Isaac Price become a Premier League player? Will Isaac Price reach the Premier League
00:53before Albion? Will he get there with Albion or if Albion remain in the Championship, is he
00:59someone that will get picked up before Albion return to the promised land?
01:05Great question. This is why they pay you the big bucks, you see.
01:08I don't know about that. I don't know about big bucks, mate.
01:14It's a good question. I think so. I agree that he'll become a Premier League player. Yeah, I do.
01:21Before Albion. I mean, let's hope Albion get there next season. At the minute,
01:28odds are against, aren't they? Because you've got to get in and win the playoffs.
01:32So I'd say there's a chance. I mean, I don't think there's a chance where he's poached in
01:35the summer, really. You know, they're just getting started, aren't they?
01:40Next summer? I mean, it's hard. It's hard one to answer, isn't it? But I would say there's a
01:44chance of that. It's hard one to say yes or no to, isn't it? I think
01:51probably no. I think Albion, if Albion don't go up, I think they'll be strong next season.
01:55I do, because yes, we haven't had a big sample size yet, but I think the ownership have showed
02:03they can spot a player, haven't they? I think it's fair to say. Now, by the way, you know,
02:11I say ownership. Ian Pearce deserves a little bit of kudos there with some of the
02:15arrivals of the last couple of windows, I would say. Obviously predates the ownership some way,
02:23and then there's the debate, you know, how much influence did Corboran have versus
02:27does Mowbray have and has that dynamic change? But what I mean is, I suppose,
02:31the model and profile of player under the ownership. This summer, argument's sake,
02:39no promotion. This summer is like the second wave of addressing the squad, isn't it? Addressing the
02:46bloatedness of some salaries, the long-serving players where it's not quite worked, have gone a
02:52bit stale. Another opportunity to refresh that. This has been said, I don't think I'm saying
02:58anything groundbreaking here, but I think if Albion don't go up, I think, and maybe because
03:04of a Mowbray pre-season and just the style of head coach he is, I think Albion are in a better
03:09place next season. I do. Now, maybe we can't say that until the recruitment's happened, but
03:15I mean, it's really a big summer, isn't it? In terms of, if we think, you know,
03:22as seems likely or certainly highly possible that a Swift and a Deangarna go out of contract.
03:31Yeah, these are, it leaves, my understanding, my reading of it is it leaves Albion a lot of
03:38opportunity, perhaps, in the window to readdress those areas of the squad.
03:46It's hard. Go out and find another couple of Isaac Price-esque calibre quality signings
03:51to play in those positions. Yeah, it's not going to happen. It's not as simple as that.
03:54But they've made such a promising start, haven't they, Bilko? It's shown that
04:00Isaac Price wasn't a Tony Mowbray thing, nothing to do with Mowbray. They wanted him last summer.
04:04So, clearly, between the ownership and Ian Pearce as well, it feels like they're on the right track
04:12and it feels like, to me, this summer will bring quite a lot of opportunity. And that's a very
04:17long-winded answer to the question you asked, Jonny. But I think, you know, we're Albion not
04:23to get there next season. I think Price would be a crucial part and other summer signings
04:28into having, and yes, we don't know who's coming, but we do know who's coming down,
04:31don't we? Sorry, the bottom three that went up. But I think I'm going to have
04:35a bigger and better chance next season.
