00:00And finally then, to me, this is an absolute waste of opportunity and a waste of public
00:07money to not take forward the strategies.
00:10Have you approached the Audit Office to ask for a review of these processes through the
00:14Department for Communities to check to see how much public money is being wasted by restarting
00:20the processes over and over again?
00:22Never mind the fact that it's breaking your heart.
00:25It breaks my heart to think that there are civil servants out there who are just passing
00:28paper around a table instead of actually getting on with strategies that can improve all of
00:33our lives.
00:34Because I know a lot of people think that the gender equality strategy is all about
00:37women.
00:38It's about improving lives across Northern Ireland.
00:40And the fact that we haven't had an appropriate use of Section 75 for years makes me furious,
00:46to be honest.
00:47It's an absolute waste of civil servants' time telling us that they're not discriminating
00:51against people when they are.
00:54But you can tell I'm quite frustrated.
00:56I could do time because I know the amount of work that was put in in the last mandate.
01:01And all of that time for the Community and Voluntary Secretary to be told you're not
01:04needed anymore.
01:05We'll do it ourselves.
01:07That's misogyny.
01:09But no, thank you for that.
01:10Sorry, Chair, I'm quite cross about this.
