00:00Big question number one, because the team that is on the eight line in the West region
00:05is the two-time reigning national champ in UConn. How much does UConn's championship
00:12experience in this tournament really matter this time around in 2025?
00:17I don't know. It's not like, you know, back in the day, as we say, in the early 1990s,
00:21like, hey, look at Christian Leitner and, you know, everybody else that's around them,
00:24Bobby Hurley, they're back again, three or four straight runs at a national championship. You
00:28don't get that. There's a couple of guys left on that UConn roster, but most importantly,
00:31the coach is back and understands how to get through a tournament, how to manage expectations,
00:36probably knows exactly the schedules that work for him. Why? Because they went back to back,
00:40and they'll probably stick to it. But also, it's the Jimmys and the Joes out there on the court.
00:44We understand this UConn team is not nearly as talented as the past two teams that won
00:48national championships. And you are running right into the buzzsaw that is the Florida Gators.
00:53Maybe it's somebody different, and I don't want to downplay Houston, because they are phenomenal.
00:58But for me, what I've seen out of Florida, that's like, hey, Donny,
01:01which team do you want to avoid for the longest string possible? It's the Florida Gators for me.
01:06And you're going to get them in round number two, fresh out of the gate. That's what makes it tough.
01:11So for me, I'm not putting a lot of stock in UConn being back-to-back national champions
01:16at this point, as if that would give them a boost. Mike, frankly,
01:19I don't even know if they make it out of round number one.
