00:00Is it the President's belief that the Justice Department should be investigating members
00:04of the January 6th Select Committee?
00:05Is he directing the DOJ to do that?
00:07As the President made it very clear in his address on Friday, I believe some of you were
00:11there.
00:12I was there.
00:13He made his vision for what he would like to see of the Department of Justice very clear,
00:18but he said that he has appointed great people in Attorney General Pam Bondi and also in
00:22our FBI Director Kash Patel to do what they think is best for our justice system and to
00:27stop the weaponization of justice that we saw under the previous administration against
00:32not just President Trump but his supporters as well.
00:34We want to restore the Department of Justice to an institution that focuses on fighting
00:38law and order and crime and putting real criminals behind bars, not targeting Americans because
00:44of their religion or their political speech.
00:46We saw that under the previous administration and it's unacceptable to this President.
