00:00is determined to get one done.
00:02Caroline.
00:03Sure, Caitlin.
00:04I have two questions for you, one on the flights,
00:05but first on the president's post overnight,
00:08saying that the pardons that were issued
00:11by President Biden preemptively
00:13to members of the January 6th committee,
00:15that they're now null and void.
00:17Have attorneys here at the White House told President Trump
00:19that he has the legal authority to undo a pardon
00:23simply because it was signed by auto pen, as he said?
00:26The president was begging the question
00:28that I think a lot of journalists in this room
00:30should be asking about whether or not
00:32the former president of the United States,
00:35who I think we can all finally agree
00:36was cognitively impaired.
00:38I know it took people some time to finally admit that,
00:41but we all know that to be true,
00:42as evidenced by his disastrous debate performance
00:45against President Trump during the campaign.
00:47I digress on that.
00:49But the president was raising the point
00:51that did the president even know about these pardons?
00:55Was his legal signature used without his consent
00:58or knowledge?
00:59And that's not just the president
01:01or me raising those questions, Kaitlan.
01:03According to the New York Post,
01:04there are Biden officials from the previous White House
01:07who raised those questions and wondered
01:09if the president was even consulted
01:11about his legally binding signature
01:13being signed onto documents.
01:15And so I think it's a question that everybody in this room
01:18should be looking into because certainly
01:21that would propose perhaps criminal or illegal behavior
01:24if staff members were signing
01:26the president of the United States autograph
01:28without his consent.
01:29Is on the record talking about issuing preemptive pardons
01:32to these people.
01:33But was he aware of his signature being used
01:36on every single pardon?
01:37That's a question you should ask the Biden White House.
01:39Is there any evidence on that that he wasn't aware of it?
01:41You're a reporter.
