01:47he already talked to the British-Israeli lawyer Nicholas Kaufman,

01:51who was one of the people they named in the ICC to become Duterte's lead counsel.

01:56Duterte is now one of the six in the ICC's custody.

02:00The defense team's mission is to add to the four already acquitted by the ICC

02:04instead of the 11 who were convicted.

02:06Among the convicts is Ahmad Alfaki Almady

02:09for the war crime in Mali in 2012.

02:13He admitted guilty, so the ICC trial was only one year long.

02:19The ICC's trial of John Pierre Bemba Gombo is the longest,

02:22taking more than eight years.

02:27He was once Kaufman's client before he withdrew as his lawyer in 2015.

02:33He was convicted first, but was later acquitted in those cases after he ran for office in 2018.

02:39But he remained convicted in the case of offenses against the administration of justice.
