South Korean broadcaster MBC said on Monday (March 17) it will edit out actor Kim Soo-hyun's scenes from its variety show "Good Day" as much as possible amid an ongoing controversy over his underage dating allegations.

00:15The 37-year-old Queen of Tears star has been under intense scrutiny since March 10th, when
00:22a YouTube channel first raised the allegations that he dated late actress Kim Se-ron when
00:28she was a minor.
00:29The network said the decision was aimed at preventing any misunderstanding regarding
00:34the program's intent and to maintain audience trust.
00:37Kim is a cast member of the music production show hosted by K-pop icon G-Dragon.
00:43Despite the ongoing scandal, Kim is said to have participated in filming last Thursday.
00:48MBC said it was awaiting an official response from his agency before making any further
00:53decisions on the matter.
00:55Meanwhile, luxury fashion group Prada confirmed on Monday that it has mutually decided to
01:01end its collaboration with the actor.
01:03The company provided no further details when questioned.
01:06South Korean cosmetic brand Dinto also announced the termination of its advertising contract
01:11with Kim.
01:12Kim's agency Gold Medalist has denied claims that the two were in a relationship dating
01:16back to 2015, when Se-ron was a minor.
01:20She was also managed by the agency, but her contract was not renewed in 2022, the same
01:25year that she was involved in a drunk driving incident.
01:29Kim has not commented directly on the allegations.
