00:10beautiful here I'm tempted to stay all day but what I'm actually going to do is
00:14I'm going to head out and see what it's like around the island. The lush grounds
00:21of Regent Phu Quoc, a luxurious resort on Phu Quoc Island in Vietnam, are so
00:27peaceful you won't want to leave. And they've thought of everything here. The
00:33rooms are spectacular, the white sand beach is to die for, and the food is next
00:41level. Make sure you try the pho soup. It's a dream and traditionally served for
00:47breakfast. But beyond the resort's amazing cooking and those palm trees swaying in
00:52the heat, it's well worth taking a trip around the island to see the real
00:57Vietnam. I went to a pepper farm to see how they produce pepper here on the
01:08island and had the most amazing lunch of Vietnamese pancake while sheltering from
01:13the heat in an outdoor cafe among the pepper trees.
01:18But one of my most interesting stops was at a fish
01:36sauce factory where I was able to taste different types of the Umami condiment
01:41and see for myself just how important fish sauce is to the Vietnamese way of
01:45life. I'm still searching for where I can find this particular brand of sauce
01:50in Australia and when I do I'll buy it straight away because that salty, sweet
01:55and meaty taste will take me right back to paradise and that white sand beach.
