00:00Today, I'll be recreating all the best challenges from Season 2 of Squid Game in LEGO.
00:04So, let the games begin!
00:06So, in the series, there's this doll.
00:08Ugh, quite creepy.
00:09And its eyes are cameras that watch the moving players.
00:12And she's quite big, so the minifig won't do.
00:14I had this LEGO Friends mini doll, and I'm gonna make her look like Young He.
00:18I'll start off by cleaning off her face with acetone.
00:21There we go.
00:22Now we can paint her a new one.
00:24And the face is quite pale, so I'll use this paint for her face and body.
00:28Now I can paint her eyes so she can spot players.
00:31Then I'll add some makeup.
00:34And we're done here.
00:35Then there are also white socks and a black pair of shoes, so I'm going to paint them as well.
00:41Another eye-catching part of the doll is its orange dress.
00:44And LEGO doesn't really make clothing, so I will use real fabric to craft a dress.
00:51Okay, this looks quite accurate to the show.
00:53And the colors are very vibrant.
00:55And finally, the hair.
00:56And this one won't do, so I will take this black stick of hot glue to shape a more accurate version to match the show.
01:02And here we have our doll, fully complete.
01:04Final moment, the head needs to turn.
01:06So, does it?
01:07Yep, it does.
01:08Can she spot the players moving through, though?
01:10Finally, we can place her in the Red Light, Green Light set, and it's all done.
01:14But wait, she can't even see the players.
01:16Okay, I will build a better one later.
01:19So, the most iconic challenge in the whole show is this simple yet deadly game called Red Light, Green Light.
01:24The goal is to cross the line and not get caught moving.
01:27So, I will start with this base plate, with a pink line indicating the winners of the challenge.
01:31Next, I'll build the walls with these houses through which players come in.
01:34And I need a lot of blue bricks.
01:36For the wheat fields, I'm using yellow tiles and grill pieces.
01:39Now that the walls are done, it's time to address the sniper nests.
01:42I bought a bunch of these weapons and just placed them in the nests.
01:47Next, we need a tree for the doll to lean on.
01:49I got this thick one, but it started sprouting.
01:52So, let's burn it.
01:57Much better. Photosynthesis is prevented.
02:00And now, of course, the main thing, the doll.
02:02I bought this knock-off minifig version, and honestly, this belongs in someone's nightmares, not here.
02:07So, it's time to build one.
02:08I built legs with black and white round bricks, and a body with orange and yellow bricks.
02:12And her head, she has cameras for eyes, but for simplicity, googly eyes will work.
02:16And the doll is complete.
02:18Finally, it's time to let in the vict... I mean, players.
02:21And for that, I found some decent-looking knock-off variants that don't look half bad.
02:25Alright, the players are ready, and everything's set. Let's game.
02:29Okay, guys, this is gonna be easy. I've played these games before.
02:32Just don't move when she turns around.
02:37Wait, a bunch of contestants are moving, but no one is shooting?
02:40Well, that just won't do.
02:42Assemble the pink guards.
02:45And off to the shootout.
02:49No!
02:53That should remind them to read the terms and conditions of the game.
02:56This is just a clear LEGO sphere I built with two pieces, and it's a perfect base to build the piggy bank from the show.
03:02So, let's do it.
03:03We just need to add these transparent pieces, and I will glue them with a gun.
03:07First the snout, then the eyes, these teeny ears, four legs, and a pigtail for the oinker.
03:13The pig is complete. Now we need to add a lot of cash inside.
03:17Yes, sir.
03:18So, I ordered a bunch of LEGO money. Let's put it all inside, and...
03:21Wow, that's legit.
03:23So, now we can build a living area for the players where the piggy bank sits all the time.
03:27I'll build a simple bunk bed with a slope piece for the pillow, and now we just need to use magic to multiply them.
03:32Wow, that's so easy.
03:34Let's put all the bunk beds in the set.
03:35And after it's all done, we can build these doors so that the guards can enter, and let's add walls around it.
03:42Now we can ask people if they want to continue to participate in all these fun challenges.
03:46But first, let's show them the prize.
03:48Wow!
03:50Okay, now we can start voting.
03:53Oh, wow, I can see that the players like this game so much.
03:57And by the way, this is Derek, and he's the only player that wants to play.
04:00And do you know why?
04:01See, Derek is actually not an ordinary minifigure.
04:04He is the mastermind behind the Big Joe.
04:07It's been a year now since Joe started to suffer from all the challenges I make him participate in.
04:11So, along with Derek, they decided to sneak into the squid game to finally end this suffering.
04:16But we'll get back to that later.
04:17So, the other thing from the game was the cookie challenge.
04:20And I kind of want to make one myself.
04:22Luckily, I have everything I need for this because it's just melted sugar and some baking soda.
04:26You need to stir it well for a couple of minutes.
04:28Oh, it's already changing color.
04:30Whoa, why is it bubbling so hard?
04:32Okay, now we got to act very fast.
04:34Let's just make a circle.
04:36Ah, dang it.
04:37Well, whatever, I have a backup.
04:39And these are genuine cookies just like the ones from the game.
04:42They come in all shapes.
04:43A circle, a star, a triangle, and of course, an umbrella.
04:47Let's see if a minifig can cut it.
04:49Would you look at that?
04:50Congratulations, you passed the vibe check.
04:53So, now it's time to build the playground where the whole challenge is happening.
04:56And for that, I used light aqua bricks for the walls and some printed stickers for each door of every shape.
05:01To complete the room, I made a slide in the same red, green, and yellow colors.
05:05I made a complicated-looking jungle gym from Technic pieces and a swing with these short chains.
05:09Everything is complete. It's time to start playing.
05:12Contestants, your goal is to extract the shape from the cookie without breaking it, even though it's a solid stud.
05:17Good luck.
05:22It seems that Derek is up to something once again.
05:26That wasn't me. I didn't break it.
05:28Oh, hi, guard.
05:35Damn, Derek is just cold like that.
05:38The next challenge on the show was the tug of war, where two teams stand on opposite platforms and simply have to pull the rope to their side to survive.
05:44So, to recreate it in LEGO, I got these yellow support walls and simply added a floor for the minifigs to stand on.
05:50Now we can put two teams on top and simulate the challenge.
05:53And I have something extra.
05:55The team that loses will fall into a pool of acid.
05:59So, let the challenge begin.
06:01Okay, it seems that the team on the right is struggling.
06:05And Derek's team is using the forbidden technique.
06:07They are glued to the floor.
06:11And Derek's team wins the challenge.
06:13Oh, damn, they melted real fast.
06:15But Derek's not done yet.
06:25Rest in pieces, little ones.
06:27Next, let's tackle the glass bridge challenge.
06:30The goal was to cross over glass blocks in the correct order.
06:33One wrong step and the glass breaks and you fall to your death.
06:36To recreate it in LEGO, I have these tall girdle pieces in dark blue and they will serve as a platform for the bridge.
06:41For the bridge, I made two platforms on each side, decorated them with transparent studs and made two walkways.
06:48Time to put in the glass.
06:49And the whole thing is finished.
06:53Now we'll just put some guards and contestants on it and start the game.
06:56But we have some guests.
06:58On the show, they are called VIPs.
07:00And to hide their identity, they wear these golden masks.
07:03So let's build them.
07:04For the masks, I have a bear, a bird, a wolf and a dragon.
07:07Now to simply paint them gold.
07:11Of course, provide some seats and the VIPs are ready to watch the show.
07:14And I'm really happy with how they turned out.
07:17Okay, back to the game.
07:18We watch the first one take a step.
07:20Well, that was quick.
07:21The second brave guy is doing better.
07:26I think he's gonna also know.
07:28It's okay, he'll respond.
07:31Alright, next is this chick.
07:32Oh, and the dude is rushing.
07:34Oof, too many figs on one glass and they broke it and are holding on for dear life.
07:39Derek takes advantage of the situation.
07:44Oh, that is just evil at this point.
07:47But Derek wins.
07:49Before the show even starts, there's this scene of colorful staircases.
07:52So I decided to recreate them.
07:54One of the walls is built with bright yellow and the other with pink bricks.
07:58And now it's time to add confusing stairs all over.
08:01Green for the main staircase.
08:02A red one that leads to hidden rooms.
08:04And pink ones to nowhere, just for the looks.
08:06And I created this accent piece with circle cutouts to finalize the look.
08:10Hey, from the top down it reminds me of the intro.
08:13But the stairs don't move.
08:14Anyway, the stairs are ready and it's time to place some minifigs on them
08:17to replicate the scene where they all go downstairs for the challenge.
08:20It feels like everyone is just waiting in the line to get a low taper fade.
08:24But Derek doesn't like to hang around.
08:29Nooooo!
08:32And now it's time to have a speed round of the minigames played in a rainbow circle in the new season.
08:36The first game was about flipping paper,
08:38so I made these from plates and tiles on top in red and blue.
08:41So, let's try it.
08:46Hell yeah!
08:47Next were these colored dice.
08:49And I made them from cylinder studs with plates on top.
08:51And this game is hard, but I'll try anyway.
08:55Another game was the flying stone.
08:56Yes, you literally throw a stone at the stones.
08:59I built this from grey bricks, so let's throw it.
09:02Also, let's toss some guards at it.
09:06Another game was called Jeggy.
09:07And it's some kind of hacky sack with a tassel.
09:10In LEGO, I took a pink tire and attached some translucent blue chains to it.
09:13It's kinda like it.
09:15The goal is to kick it five times.
09:16One.
09:17One.
09:18Two.
09:19Dead.
09:21And the last game was called Spinning Top.
09:23You just have to throw a rope around the spinner and launch it.
09:25For LEGO, I skipped the rope part and just made a spinner.
09:28And that gave me an idea.
09:29Gotta have a Beyblade battle with it.
09:31I bought a quick set and attached the blade to the launcher.
09:34Three.
09:35Two.
09:36One.
09:37Let it rip.
09:38Oh, wow.
09:39They're fighting.
09:40Maybe our spinner is six foot two, but the short king is crashing him.
09:43He pinned him to the side and won.
09:45In the new season, there was also a new challenge called Mingle.
09:48It's a giant carousel platform and a bunch of small rooms with colorful doors.
09:52To recreate it in LEGO, I started by designing a mechanism for the gears to move the platform.
09:57After that, I built the floor with beige plates.
09:59This grinds my gears.
10:01For the rooms, I took the same beige arches and made bow ties with red bricks as decorations.
10:06And I made, like, seven of them and added them to the set.
10:09For the platform, I used a bunch of red bricks with slopes to make it look like a disc and added it onto the main gear.
10:14And as a centerpiece, I added a white column with golden accents and horsies impaled on metal rods.
10:22And that's the Mingle in LEGO.
10:24When the gear spins, it turns the platform.
10:27With that out of the way, it's time to simulate the challenge with minifigs.
10:31Some might throw up on it.
10:33Where is Derek?
10:36Oh, Derek found a LEGO motor and now everything is spinning super fast.
10:49This dude is just built different.
10:51So, Derek seems to have won all the games and is returning to take the prize.
10:55Who do you think you are? You thought I couldn't see all the cheating in my games?
11:00Oh, so that's how it's gonna be? You never stood a chance.
11:04But next, I'm gonna build and test more than 15 huge, deadly, and cool-looking LEGO weapons.
11:08Like this loaded shooter gun that you need to load up with special long darts.
11:11And when you shoot it, it automatically loads up a new dart.
11:15And at the end of the video, I will compete with my friends for $100,000
11:19in an ultimate battle royale war in this real medieval castle.
11:23So, let's waste no time and begin building.
11:25First, let's look at weapons that minifigures can use.
11:28Like this crossbow that shoots studs.
11:32Or this bazooka-like piece.
11:35But one of my favorite minifigure weapons to use is this stud launcher.
11:39You just load an ordinary stud, and it shoots pretty far and accurately.
11:46It's actually a cool-looking weapon, and I'd love to use it in the final battle.
11:49But I need something bigger than this.
11:51So I ordered an upscale version of the stud shooter, and I think it just arrived.
11:55Oh my gosh, now this looks really cool in the upscaled version.
11:59But when I turned it to the other side, I found that it was almost completely broken.
12:03Look guys, there's a crack, so I don't know if it's actually gonna work now.
12:06And to go with it, I ordered three huge studs, locked and loaded.
12:10So, let's test it on something upscaled.
12:17Okay, he lost his head.
12:19This is a projectile launcher, a cheap LEGO part that contains a spring inside.
12:23And because of that, it can shoot special long darts at pretty decent distances.
12:27But the best feature of this piece is that you can stack them together.
12:31So your boy went on Bricklink and bought 497 of them.
12:34Okay, I literally maxed out the order, so the owner should be rich now.
12:37And the reason I bought them in such an extreme amount is to test if I can shoot all of them at the same time.
12:45So, I spent half an hour stacking all 480 into one wall.
12:52Okay, this looks so satisfying.
12:54Now, after loading all the darts, we're finally ready to fire them all at the same time.
12:58And I'm gonna use this stick to help me.
13:00Let's do it in 3, 2, 1.
13:16Okay, no one survived.
13:17The next weapon I'm gonna recreate is a katana.
13:20I'm using a lot of these spring-loaded shooters because they have a nice texture and give the illusion that it's a super sharp sword.
13:27I also sculpted a nice handle for it.
13:32So it's actually quite satisfying to hold.
13:35It's a bit wobbly, but it looks awesome from a distance.
13:42I remember watching this TV program where they tested weapons on ballistic mannequins.
13:46So I made this squishy block out of jello.
13:50And let's test the katana on it.
13:57Okay, I kinda get why they use metal for swords.
14:00It didn't really go through.
14:02So I spawned outside to test it on something softer, like a watermelon.
14:09And it actually got almost halfway through.
14:12Yummy.
14:13Another LEGO weapon you can build is this simple-looking gun.
14:17It has a handle that you rotate, which spins a gear to automatically shoot.
14:21The only limit is how long your belt of spring-loaded shooters is.
14:24Not gonna lie, mine is quite long.
14:26It's like 100 of them.
14:28So let's test it.
14:33Okay, this is actually quite satisfying to do.
14:41And just for fun, I also did a try-not-to-blink challenge.
14:44That looks pretty hilarious in slow-mo.
14:46Okay, for this next weapon, I'm gonna take a bunch of tan bricks and...
14:50And what do we have here?
14:51The Glizzy Gun.
14:52A life-size weapon that looks like an old-school gun...
14:56But with the soul of a hot dog.
14:58Now, let's test if it actually works.
15:01You can actually reload it with a real hot dog sausage.
15:06Wow, it's actually tasty.
15:08But I've got the perfect use for it.
15:11Oh my god, it's like cannibalism.
15:14Next, let's build a weapon from a game, like Minecraft.
15:16I just need to put all the necessary materials into the crafting table, and...
15:20Voila!
15:21Okay, this one's too small, so I'm gonna need to use a few more bricks and tiles.
15:25After several failed attempts, I finally built myself a LEGO Minecraft sword.
15:29And by the way, I was out of the right color tiles, so I used this one instead.
15:33Sorry about that.
15:34Now, let's test if it'll break when I lift it up.
15:36Oh, damn.
15:38So, after reinforcing it with some additional plates on the bottom, I tried it again, and...
15:42No way! It works!
15:44Okay, this one already looks good.
15:45It's very sharp, so it's kinda uncomfortable to hold.
15:48But anyway, let's test how strong it is.
15:53So that gave me the idea to craft an enchanted version of the Minecraft sword.
15:56This shiny one.
15:57So I went and bought some film, carefully stuck it to my sword,
16:02cut it all down,
16:03and now I literally have the Rolls Royce of swords in my hand.
16:09So now, the moment you've all been waiting for.
16:11I'll test the regular diamond sword versus the enchanted one.
16:15Okay, Minecraft is life accurate.
16:17The enchanted sword is stronger.
16:20Wait, I think I hear something.
16:29This is a Nerf gun, a toy weapon that shoots these tiny soft bullets.
16:34And I've gotta say, it's always satisfying to play with one.
16:37But today, we're going mega with it.
16:39I'm building the world's biggest Nerf gun out of Lego, starting with a dart.
16:43And this thing is like 100 times bigger than the regular one.
16:46Next, I put together the gun itself with these giant Duplo bricks.
16:49And because we actually need it to fire, I added a rubber band at the back to give it some power.
16:54Alright, let's try it out on these plastic cups.
17:03And now for the real test, how far can this thing go?
17:07Yeah, that's what I thought.
17:09Another weapon is a boomerang.
17:12So I went to my local toy shop, bought one for reference, and let's see if I can catch it.
17:16Okay, I think I need more space for this. Let's go outside.
17:19And after a couple of tries...
17:26I almost managed to catch it.
17:27Now, let's head to the cave and load a Lego version of it using some angled plates and tiles.
17:32They look super similar.
17:33So I'm feeling confident about my Lego boomerang.
17:37Now let's see which one flies better, Lego or the real deal.
17:42And let's try to catch it.
17:45Oh, no way. It's broken.
17:48Another weapon I want to recreate is Wolverine's claws.
17:51Lego actually has them in minifigure scale, but let's make them life-size.
17:55So I used a bunch of plates and these cool-looking metallic cheese slopes to build the spikes.
18:00And pretty soon I had in my hands two sharp claws.
18:04I immediately went outside to test them.
18:06First, let's see if they can pop a balloon.
18:12Okay, that's a success. Let's move on.
18:14Next, I wanted to poke this huge jelly that was sitting in my fridge.
18:20Oh my god, this is so satisfying.
18:22But then I found the best way to use them.
18:24Yep, it's time for some ultimate petting action.
18:26Alright, next up, we're building something from a super strange movie I watched last night.
18:29Can't even remember the name, but Lego has sets for it.
18:31So I ordered this huge Death Star and it just arrived.
18:34But when I opened the box...
18:36What the heck, guys? Why is it so small?
18:38Oh my gosh, I ordered the big one.
18:39This one.
18:40And paid like 30 bucks.
18:42Why does this keep happening to me?
18:43Anyway, I spent half an hour building this mini Death Star.
18:46It's small, but hey, it looks cool.
18:48There's even a little scene where Darth Vader fights Luke Skywalker.
18:51But if you know the movie, you know what happens next.
18:53The Death Star explodes.
18:55Let's test how well it explodes in Lego.
19:00For the next weapon, I found this huge machine gun powered by a motor and I knew I had to buy it.
19:04So after wasting $150, I started to build it.
19:10Wait, guys, I just realized it's barely even sorted.
19:13It's like 2,000 pieces and you have to build it all at once.
19:16Anyway, after wasting $150 and almost 6 hours, I finally built this beast.
19:22And I can safely say I've never built anything this big.
19:26The gun is powered by a motor, shoots 10 bullets a second, has a tripod for stability and an advanced scope.
19:32And when you hold it, you'll really start to look cool.
19:35Okay, let's test it.
19:40Okay, it handled the chickens pretty well.
19:42Winner, winner, chicken dinner.
19:44And I keep seeing these YouTubers testing powerful guns on frying pans, so let's do the same, but in Lego.
19:55Okay, wow, we hit through like seven pans.
19:58I guess on a minifig scale, that's a pretty successful result.
20:01And finally, it was time to test all the weapons in a real fight.
20:05And finally, it was time to test all the weapons in a real fight.
20:07So I jumped in my car and headed to the local paintball field, which I rented out for the entire day.
20:11Check it out, they even have a tank.
20:13This place is a huge battlefield with wooden obstacles, barrels, small hideouts, and even catapults.
20:18Oh, and a freaking Trojan horse.
20:20But the centerpiece is this massive life-sized wooden castle.
20:24And today, it's all ours.
20:25Let's start the fight.
20:26For the first round, I gave everyone a cold weapon.
20:28We had a katana, Minecraft sword, boomerang, and Wolverine claws.
20:33Make your predictions in the comments.
20:34Who's gonna win?
20:40But honestly, I wasn't surprised when the enchanted Minecraft sword came out on top.
20:44And by the way, this is Dave.
20:45You might want to remember him.
20:46Just saying.
20:47Next up, the battle royale round.
20:49I hid all the weapons in random spots around the battlefield.
20:51The rules were simple.
20:53Find your weapon and take everyone else down.
20:56The first few minutes were chaotic.
20:57We were all running around, struggling to find anything.
21:00But the second Dave found his weapon, I knew things were about to get crazy.
21:03Then Jake found the machine gun.
21:05And it felt like the outcome was already sealed.
21:08I started running like a maniac to stay alive.
21:10Then, just when I thought I was done for, an upscale stud shooter literally dropped at my feet.
21:15Like an airdrop.
21:16But of course, it was broken and completely useless.
21:18So my chances weren't looking good.
21:20This is where the real fight kicked off.
21:22Dave crawled out of his hiding spot.
21:24And Jake, armed with his machine gun, was taking out people left and right.
21:27He even took down Patrick.
21:29But Jake forgot to do something important.
21:31He only had 20 bullets.
21:33Pretty soon, he was completely out of ammo and weaponless.
21:35Out of nowhere, Dave swooped in and started taking down everyone.
21:38Including me.
21:40And once he went after Jake, I knew Jake was doomed.
21:46And just like that, Dave won the second round.
21:50But wait, there's more.
21:51For the third and final round, I came up with an epic last minute challenge.
21:55A paintball gun versus Lego weapons.
21:57I handed Jessica a paintball gun and gave my guys the best Lego guns we had.
22:02We climbed up the castle and prepared for the ultimate showdown.
22:06One girl with a paintball gun versus four guys with Lego guns.
22:09Who do you think will win?
22:11We started pretty strong.
22:12Our plan?
22:13Keep it simple and just wait for her to come up to us.
22:15We figured at least one of us would hit her before she got us.
22:18But man, I seriously underestimated that paintball gun.
22:21After just a few shots whizzed past me, I was terrified.
22:24She nailed me first.
22:25And before I even knew what was happening, my guys were trying to sneak around the castle to flank her.
22:30They thought they had a solid strategy, but Jessica wiped them out so fast,
22:34she made it look like a piece of cake.
22:36And just like that, she won the round and the entire game.
22:39Okay guys, thanks for sticking around.
22:40Here's Jessica with her $100,000 prize.
22:43She totally earned it.
