AccuWeather's Tony Laubach is in Bay Springs, Mississippi, where severe storms are barreling over the area with the potential to produce tornadoes as the system continues tracking across the state.

00:00Accuweather meteorologist and storm chaser Tony Laubach is on this threat. He is joining us live from Bay Springs, Mississippi
00:05And that's a very dangerous setup in this area Tony. So Tony, what are you seeing out there?
00:13Well, we are currently in Bay Springs, Mississippi
00:16Right now watching a pretty pronounced area of rotation that just passed over the town just seconds ago
00:22You're kind of seeing that on the screen here through the trees
00:24We're gonna kind of creep up just a little bit in the parking lot get a better view here
00:28This has been a long-lived tornadic supercell that certainly has had the potential to produce multiple long-track tornadoes
00:36Fortunately for the folks in Bay Springs at least at this point
00:38We don't have anything that's come down in town
00:41Obviously as you can tell even here in town visibility trying to get through the trees and the terrain is just absolutely awful
00:47But we've got an organized area of circulation this again
00:50We've put it just on the north side of Bay Springs moving quickly off to the northeast probably 50-55 miles per hour again
00:58We're talking very dangerous motions on these storms moving very very quickly
01:03And again, they're producing long-track tornadoes
01:06Sometimes the cycle you have the end of one tornado and then a new one begins
01:11And that's looking like what's happened here the storm which has produced several long-track tornadoes working its way to the Bay Springs area
01:18Fortunately looks like it is going to pass over town without producing so that is some good news for the folks here
01:25But again, this may be trying to cycle a new tornado just to the north and northeast of Bay Springs
01:30Jeff's really got some concerns for the folks up in Meridian
01:33It's one of the bigger population centers that two of these storms do these tornadic storms one to the northeast to here and this one
01:40Are taking aim on so folks in Meridian certainly want to be prepared to act quickly
01:45If these storms are working up their way again, we've had confirmed tornadoes with these cells
01:50We again pulling into Bay Springs just as this storm arrived did not see anything on the ground here in town
01:57This is going to continue to the northeast. We're going to try our best to keep pursuit with this again
