HELP University and Jinju City, South Korea, have signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to enhance collaboration in government policy, industry innovation, and education.

Signed on March 10 during the Jinju City Partnership Forum at HELP University’s Center for Humane Entrepreneurship, the partnership aims to foster joint research on humane business practices, student and entrepreneur exchange programs, and cultural immersion projects to connect Asian and global markets.

00:00Government policy, industry innovation and education will be among the fields being further explored
00:07following a Memorandum of Understanding, MOU, signed between Help University and Jinju City in South Korea,
00:15also known as the capital of K-entrepreneurship.
00:18The MOU will see global collaboration across key initiatives,
00:22including joint research on humane business practices,
00:26exchange programs for students and entrepreneurs,
00:29and cultural immersion projects to bridge Asian and global markets.
00:33Also set to roll out is the Global Humane Entrepreneurship Summit in 2027,
00:39alongside an Advanced Management Program on Humane Entrepreneurship.
00:44A digital platform is also set to connect stakeholders globally across Asia.
00:50The MOU was signed at the Jinju City Partnership Forum,
00:53hosted at Help University's Centre for Humane Entrepreneurship, on March 10.
00:59The event gathered leaders from government, NGOs, multinational corporations,
01:04academia and senior executives from 15 countries.
01:08In his address, Help University Chancellor and co-founder Professor Datuk Dr. Paul Chan
01:13said the signing is set to create tremendous opportunities
01:16to help various groups of society through humane education.
01:47One is harmony within ourselves, harmony among us,
01:53and harmony with the divine or nature.
01:57He also emphasized the university's Centre for Humane Entrepreneurship's role
02:01as a global nexus for inclusive collaboration.
02:04Chan said practicing humane philosophy and values
02:07should also be the central purpose of business.
02:10In his keynote lecture, Jinju City Mayor Jo Kyo-il said
02:15the partnership serves as a beacon for cities and institutions worldwide
02:19to unite compassion with commerce.
02:21Jo also noted how Jinju's success lay in valuing people as their greatest asset.
02:27Speaking to more than 200 participants there,
02:30he gave insights into Jinju City's pioneering K-Entrepreneurship model,
02:35blending the country's cultural heritage with innovative human-centric policies.
02:40He also highlighted Jinju's journey in nurturing small and medium enterprises,
02:45social enterprises and creative industries that balance tradition and modernity.
02:50Jinju City is known as the capital of K-Entrepreneurship
02:54as the founders of four major global companies,
02:57LG, GS, Samsung and Hyosan, grew up and interacted with one another.
03:04At the forum, Jo and International Council of Small Business Chairman Professor Kim Ki-chan
03:11presented Chan with the inaugural Human-Centered K-Entrepreneurship Award,
03:16recognizing his four decades of leadership in humane entrepreneurship
03:20and cross-border collaboration.
