00:00In the name of Allah, the most Gracious, the most Merciful.
00:02The soul of Makkah, Madinah,
00:04makes man a human being.
00:11Ladies and gentlemen,
00:13today we are going to talk about the virtues of knowledge and scholars.
00:17How important is the respect and courtesy of a religious scholar?
00:21And what should we keep in mind in this regard?
00:24Allama Liaquat Hussain Nazari Sahib will shed light on this.
00:27Respect and courtesy is the foundation of our religion.
00:32When Allah the Almighty commanded Adam to prostrate,
00:37all the angels prostrated.
00:39But Iblis refused and was arrogant.
00:44He said, I am better than them, and how can I prostrate to them?
00:51So an ill-mannered person made him a beggar.
00:55The Qur'an teaches us that courtesy is necessary.
01:00Similarly, the Prophet of Allah said,
01:03The scholars are the inheritance of the Prophets.
01:09The Prophets do not have any inheritance.
01:14They did not inherit any dirhams or dinars.
01:16The scholars are the inheritance of the Prophets.
01:20The scholars are the inheritance of the Prophets.
01:26So we should respect the Prophets and their inheritance.
01:33The Prophet of Allah said,
01:35I seek Allah's mercy and goodness for my religion.
01:38Allah the Almighty grants goodness to the one who has good intentions.
01:44He is the chosen one of Allah the Almighty.
01:47He said,
01:51The best among you is the one who learns the Qur'an.
01:56So the one you are learning from,
01:58the one who is your teacher,
02:00the Beloved of Allah the Almighty has declared him the best.
02:04You must respect him.
02:06He said,
02:07He is like a scholar.
02:09Even the fish in the sea pray for him.
02:13Even the ants pray for him.
02:15He is the chosen one of Allah the Almighty.
02:19He distributes goodness for the creation.
02:23He grants goodness to the creation.
02:25The Prophet of Allah said,
02:27Respect the white-haired ones.
02:30Respect the old Muslims.
02:33Respect the one who has the Qur'an.
02:35Respect the one who is a scholar of the Qur'an.
02:39In the beginning of the Prophet's life,
02:42if anyone had even a little memory,
02:44he was made an Imam.
02:46So a child was made an Imam in a village.
02:50He had only one kurta,
02:52wearing a long kurta.
02:53He said,
02:54Why did you make me an Imam?
02:55He said,
02:56He remembers a part of the Qur'an.
02:57On the basis of this.
02:59The Prophet himself,
03:01who was a great scholar,
03:04like Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Masood,
03:06Hazrat Abdullah bin Abbas,
03:07great scholars,
03:09he said,
03:10Stand near me in prayer.
03:12The scholars.
03:13Sayyiduna Umar Farooq,
03:16when he started giving the governorship,
03:19and started making the workers of the area,
03:22he said,
03:23Who are the Hafiz of the Qur'an?
03:24Who are the scholars of the Qur'an?
03:26He said,
03:27Bring them forward,
03:28so that they are given this position.
03:30So from the beginning,
03:31it has always been like this,
03:32that the people who had knowledge,
03:34Allah gave them respect,
03:36and the government also gave them respect.
03:38Then it happened,
03:39that the scholars were made to retreat,
03:42and all the other workers,
03:46they were made to move forward.
03:48Hattal Maqdoor tried to do the same,
03:50that the scholars should be made to retreat,
03:53their livelihood should be cut off,
03:55their respect and honour should be cut off,
03:57and they should be put in the society.
03:59And whichever nation,
04:01made the scholars retreat,
04:03whether it is worldly knowledge,
04:04or religious knowledge,
04:05believe me,
04:06that nation was destroyed and destroyed.
04:08Today, look,
04:09our teachers,
04:10whether they are Dars-e-Rizami teachers,
04:12or school teachers,
04:14what are their salaries?
04:15And you look at the foreign countries,
04:18where do their basic salaries start from?
04:21They know that,
04:22as long as the one who teaches the architects of this nation,
04:26you don't make it free,
04:28then the nation can never progress.
04:30So give them respect with all due respect,
04:33give them respect,
04:34and respecting them is necessary for every Muslim.
04:37What to say, what to say.
04:38Okay, the scholars,
04:39for the nation and the society,
04:41are the source of good and blessings.
04:44This is one thing,
04:45today we have seen that,
04:47because the scholars are far from the scholars,
04:49they have gone so far,
04:51that those who are listening,
04:52they think that this is the scholar,
04:54and he is saying the right thing.
04:55So we would like to know about this,
04:57because knowledge and scholars are a topic today,
05:00so this question is also very important and necessary.
05:02What will Hafiz Ubaid Sama Sahab say about this?
05:05In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.
05:07It is certainly the case that,
05:08the blessings in the society are established by the scholars.
05:12When the scholars leave this world,
05:15only then will the Day of Judgment be established.
05:18So if the scholars are not in the society,
05:20then the Day of Judgment will come.
05:22And if the scholars are there,
05:24then blessings come to the society.
05:26Because they are the brain of the society,
05:29they are also the think tank.
05:31The benefits of their knowledge are that,
05:33if there is a problem in the society,
05:37then they correct people's beliefs,
05:40remove the bad habits in people,
05:43guide people,
05:45talk about strengthening people's character,
05:49and reform them.
05:51So whether it is about worship,
05:53morality,
05:55or matters of affairs,
05:57they all depend on knowledge.
06:00And when a religious scholar corrects all these things,
06:04then only because of that,
06:05blessings are created in the society.
06:07And if this thing is not there,
06:09then there is impurity in the society.
06:12There is unblessing.
06:14You see that Allah says in the Holy Quran,
06:16that,
06:17I bear witness that there is no god but Allah,
06:19and the angels and the scholars are established with justice.
06:24That those who are established in the society with justice,
06:28they are the people of knowledge.
06:30Those who are established with justice in the society,
06:33or those who are correct in the society,
06:35or those who are correct in the society,
06:37or those who are preventing misguidance,
06:40then whose responsibility is this?
06:42This is the responsibility of the people of knowledge.
06:44And obviously,
06:45when justice is established in the society,
06:48then only its blessings will be established in the world.
06:52Along with this,
06:53it is said in Surah Al-Imran,
06:54Those in whose hearts is impurity,
07:06Those who are impure people,
07:09those who use knowledge for their selfish desires,
07:13such people fall behind interpretations.
07:17They fall behind similarities.
07:21And those people who are established in knowledge,
07:24whom we are talking about today,
07:28they do not fall behind any interpretation.
07:30They say that we have brought faith on this.
07:32So their own faith is strong,
07:34of the people of knowledge.
07:36They strengthen the faith of people,
07:38remove misguidance of people,
07:40and give people the right path.
07:45At this stage,
07:46At this stage,
07:47it will not be futile to say that
07:49when blessings are associated with them,
07:53when justice is associated with them in the society,
07:56when the correctness of faith is associated with them,
07:59when the reformation of deeds is associated with them,
08:02then the people of knowledge should also take care of their status.
08:05Like there is a famous incident,
08:07that an old man slipped,
08:09and a scholar said to him,
08:11that be careful,
08:13don't fall.
08:14He replied with wisdom,
08:16that if I fall, I will fall alone.
08:18But if you slip,
08:20then the whole society will slip.
08:22That is why,
08:23many things are associated with the people of knowledge.
08:26The reformation of this whole society,
08:28is associated with them.
08:30Like Mufti Sahab said very clearly,
08:33that if they leave a chosen one,
08:35then the one who sees leaves the Sunnah,
08:37leaves the Wajib.
08:39That is why,
08:40when blessings are associated with them,
08:43then they should accept the responsibility,
08:46of spreading these blessings in the society.
08:49Some people are such,
08:51that through their knowledge,
08:53they show off.
08:54Through their knowledge,
08:55the purpose of their knowledge,
08:57they only show that,
08:58I have to show my knowledge in the society,
09:00or to debate,
09:02or to show myself great.
09:04This is such a thing,
09:06because of which,
09:07the society itself,
09:09is a victim of impurity and unblessing.
09:11So the people of knowledge,
09:13in this matter,
09:14when they adopt the right path,
09:16like Prophet Muhammad,
09:18the knowledge of Wahi reached him.
09:21So Prophet Muhammad,
09:23with great honesty,
09:25conveyed that knowledge.
09:27The companions learnt from Prophet Muhammad.
09:30Look at the character of the companions of Sufah.
09:33Today,
09:34the pillar of the companions of Sufah,
09:36is present there.
09:37Why?
09:38Because they went there in search of knowledge.
09:40They sat there.
09:41Look at the blessings of that.
09:43We are talking about the blessings.
09:45So the blessings of the society,
09:47were from the companions of Sufah.
09:49They had a glory,
09:50they had a status.
09:51So that is why,
09:52the people of knowledge,
09:53their knowledge,
09:54especially the scholars,
09:55the scholars of Quran and Hadith,
09:57all the blessings,
09:58are connected to these people.
10:00And Allah Almighty,
10:01made the society,
10:02the trust of these blessings,
10:04and gave them the ability,
10:06to handle these blessings.
10:08What to say?
10:09If we look at the history of Islam,
10:11then from Dar-e-Arqam,
10:13to the pillar of the companions of Sufah,
10:15if you read the history of it,
10:17you will see the great personalities,
10:19of the companions of Allah Almighty.
10:21And after that,
10:22this series continues.
10:24There is some time left for Waqf.
10:26I would like to know,
10:27Qibla Mufti Sahib,
10:28that in terms of the excellence of knowledge and scholars,
10:31you are,
10:32I am a member of the Sahaba,
10:34and I would like to know,
10:35who are the people of the society,
10:37who have the responsibility,
10:38to respect these people,
10:39and their excellence,
10:40and in terms of their knowledge and blessings,
10:42to inform the new generation.
10:45Yes son,
10:46yes brother,
10:47the problem is,
10:48that,
10:49first of all,
10:50respect,
10:51only respect.
10:52They stood up,
10:53kissed their hands,
10:54made them sit in a suitable place,
10:56gave them something to look at,
10:58this is also a matter of honor.
10:59But in reality,
11:00if you want to respect,
11:02then,
11:03respect requires obedience.
11:04We keep on respecting the Prophet,
11:06and he doesn't listen to us.
11:08Such respect,
11:09is a sure thing,
11:10that in the court of Allah,
11:11there can be no level of acceptance.
11:13Now,
11:14what is happening here,
11:15we are going to the hands of the Prophet,
11:16we kiss the hands of the scholars,
11:18we put slogans in their names,
11:20we make them sit,
11:21we make them do a program,
11:22there is a photo session,
11:23we make them take a selfie,
11:24with you,
11:25with the people.
11:26But when they say something,
11:28don't give advice,
11:30like this,
11:31my heart is anxious,
11:32let him be my enemy,
11:33who has made me understand.
11:35We feel very bad about that.
11:36Where have they come to create
11:38problems in our lives?
11:39They are affecting our lifestyle.
11:41These people will have to understand,
11:43that the true respect of the scholars is,
11:45that their advice should be accepted.
11:47They should be in their company.
11:49They should learn the knowledge of religion from them.
11:51When they give advice,
11:52they should act according to their demands,
11:54and then,
11:55they should pass on that knowledge.
11:57The government has said,
11:58that,
11:59or in the last sermon,
12:01it was said,
12:02that,
12:03every attendee should convey my message to the unseen.
12:05So,
12:06these responsibilities should be taken.
12:08This is also the respect of knowledge.
12:10Now,
12:11the situation is,
12:12that,
12:13like I told you,
12:14there is respect,
12:15we kiss hands,
12:16Abu Salim announced,
12:17that after Salah,
12:18there will be Dars-e-Quran.
12:19So,
12:20everyone remembers the command.
12:21Now,
12:22that man is running away,
12:23not asking,
12:24that,
12:25son,
12:26how are you?
12:27So,
12:28this should be taken care of.
12:29Very good.
12:30Very good.
12:31As you said,
12:32this is definitely a big responsibility.
12:33And,
12:34everyone will feel,
12:35when everyone will feel this,
12:36then,
12:37the excellence of knowledge will be in front of them,
12:38and the scholars too.
12:39We will return after a short break.
12:40Stay with us.
12:41In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
13:01Yes, sir,
13:02you are welcome.
13:03And,
13:04today,
13:05we are talking about the excellence of knowledge,
13:07the excellence of scholars,
13:08in a very beautiful way.
13:10And,
13:11we should also keep in mind,
13:12the responsibilities,
13:13which were mentioned by Abdullah Mufti,
13:14in the end.
13:15So that,
13:16as long as,
13:17in Islamic history,
13:18you see,
13:19as long as,
13:20knowledge and scholars,
13:21were given excellence,
13:22their excellence was in front of them,
13:23the society was very good.
13:24But,
13:25when,
13:26they became distant from the scholars,
13:27the status of knowledge,
13:28the importance of knowledge,
13:29was not recognized,
13:30the scholars,
13:31were humiliated,
13:32they were treated in an unkind manner,
13:33then,
13:34the society came towards abjection.
13:35And,
13:36the abjection,
13:37which you are seeing today,
13:38is the distance from knowledge,
13:40I would like to know from,
13:41Allama Liaquat Usain Azari,
13:42Hazrat,
13:43what message would you give,
13:44this is such a topic,
13:45this is the real topic,
13:46of you,
13:47of the scholars,
13:48that,
13:49you are motivating people,
13:50on this only,
13:51on this only,
13:52you are telling people,
13:53the commandments,
13:54of the Quran and Hadith,
13:55what would you say?
13:56Absolutely,
13:57our motivation,
13:58is based on,
13:59the Quran and Hadith.
14:00Absolutely.
14:01And,
14:02the Prophet of Allah,
14:03has his own actions.
14:04When,
14:05the Prophet,
14:06came to,
14:07Masjid-e-Nabwi Sharif,
14:08there were two circles,
14:09in one circle,
14:10people were sitting,
14:11and reciting,
14:12the Zikr-e-Azkar,
14:13and the Tasbeeh-e-Tasbeeh,
14:14and reciting.
14:15In the other circle,
14:16people were studying,
14:17and learning.
14:18The Prophet of Allah,
14:19said first of all,
14:20that,
14:21both are doing well.
14:22Hmm.
14:23Both are doing well.
14:24SubhanAllah.
14:25Then,
14:26the Prophet of Allah,
14:27himself,
14:28in the circle of,
14:29studying and learning,
14:30went and sat.
14:31He said,
14:32both are doing well,
14:33but,
14:34I am a teacher.
14:35Wow, wow.
14:36I was sent as a teacher.
14:37So,
14:38I am here.
14:39So,
14:40the Prophet of Allah,
14:41liked this.
14:42Second,
14:43in the Hadith-e-Paq,
14:44the Zikr-e-Azkar,
14:45in the Hadith-e-Paq of,
14:46the Prophet of Allah,
14:47said,
14:48that,
14:49a person,
14:50leaves the world,
14:51and the things,
14:52that will benefit him,
14:53in the grave,
14:54are a service,
14:55of knowledge.
14:56Hmm.
14:57Now,
14:58Qibla Mufti Sahib,
14:59is talking,
15:00we are sitting,
15:01talking,
15:02Allama Sahib is talking.
15:03Many of our teachers,
15:04have passed away.
15:05But,
15:06our conversation,
15:07will reach them as well.
15:08Without a doubt.
15:09If we,
15:10have taught someone,
15:11knowledge,
15:12it will reach them.
15:13Without a doubt.
15:14This is,
15:15an investment,
15:16an ongoing charity,
15:17which is always ongoing.
15:18Qibla Mufti Sahib,
15:19and I,
15:20used to study,
15:21in Jamia Nizamiya.
15:22In Jamia Nizamiya,
15:23we had,
15:24an Arabic teacher,
15:25the son of Qibla Sharif-e-Millat,
15:26Dr. Mumtaz Hadeedi Sahib.
15:27So,
15:28he taught us,
15:29the book,
15:30Lughat-ul-Arabiya.
15:31So,
15:32in those times,
15:33he used to teach us,
15:34small Arabic poems.
15:35He said,
15:47He said,
15:48you will spend,
15:49and it will end.
15:50It will vanish.
15:51Knowledge is,
15:52that the more you spend,
15:53the more it will increase.
15:55Its effects,
15:56will reach the grave.
15:57It will reach the hereafter.
15:58So,
15:59love knowledge.
16:00Money is also important,
16:01to run the world.
16:03Other things are also important.
16:04But,
16:05knowledge,
16:06should be associated with it,
16:07to run the world,
16:08and the hereafter.
16:09What to say,
16:10Subhan Allah,
16:11Subhan Allah.
16:12When we will talk about,
16:13the excellence of knowledge,
16:14then we will talk about it,
16:15in the same way,
16:16as Qibla has said.
16:18Okay,
16:19Allama Hafiz Uwais Ahmad Sahib,
16:20what message would you like to give?
16:21The topic is very big.
16:22It is of great importance.
16:24What would you like to say?
16:26The Prophet,
16:27peace and blessings of Allah be upon him,
16:29has asked for protection,
16:30from such knowledge,
16:31which will not give benefit.
16:34So,
16:35all the people,
16:36who want to acquire knowledge,
16:37at any level,
16:38whether they are in religious schools,
16:40whether they are in colleges,
16:42whether they are in universities,
16:43wherever there are people,
16:45they should try,
16:46to make their knowledge,
16:47beneficial.
16:49To make it beneficial.
16:50And,
16:51the actions on their knowledge,
16:52and the objectives of their knowledge,
16:54they should definitely acquire it.
16:56Absolutely.
16:57We see with great regret,
16:59that in educational institutions,
17:01the benefits of knowledge are being distributed,
17:04knowledge is being taught,
17:06the wealth of knowledge is being distributed.
17:08But,
17:09from those places,
17:10the cases of evil,
17:11of intoxication,
17:12of misbehaviour,
17:14of many other things,
17:16come to light.
17:18You tell me,
17:19that where there is a source of knowledge,
17:22from there,
17:23if the evil,
17:24and intoxication,
17:25and,
17:26and,
17:27and,
17:28and,
17:29time to time,
17:30has reached those places,
17:31if something like that happens even from those places,
17:33what is knowledge then?
17:35That's right.
17:36What does knowledge give?
17:37What does knowledge give?
17:38Meaning,
17:39then the name of knowledge is defamed.
17:41Yes.
17:42The people who,
17:43the Prophet,
17:44saw and taught knowledge,
17:45first of all,
17:46Allah the Lord taught them,
17:48ar-Rahmanu allamal Quraan.
17:50So look,
17:51Mustafa,
17:52wa allama kamaalam taquntaalam.
17:54Then,
17:55the Prophet,
17:56the Prophet,
17:57taught the knowledge to the companions,
17:58You can see that goodness came out of it, profit came out of it, reform came out of it, justice came out of it, they removed oppression from the world.
18:10Even today there are educational centres, religious schools, everything is there.
18:16Everyone is trying to do positive work in their circle.
18:19But this knowledge is such a powerful thing that if its light is used in the right way
18:26and if this knowledge is used in the right way in the society, then you can be sure that it will be a blessing for people.
18:35And it becomes a source of light for people.
18:39You can see on social media, there are a lot of people who have used knowledge as a weapon.
18:46But the elders of the religion from the time of Prophet Muhammad to this day,
18:51on the basis of their few references, such and such hadith number, this hadith number, this hadith number,
18:57on the basis of their numbers, sometimes they mock the scholars like Imam Abu Hanifa.
19:04They abuse them.
19:06It is such a big shamelessness that your knowledge did not teach you manners.
19:12When your knowledge did not benefit you, when it did not teach you manners,
19:17then what was the use of your cameras, what was the use of your 10 lakh viewers.
19:22This is all shamelessness.
19:24That is, those countries that have acquired new technology,
19:2850,000 Palestinians were killed.
19:30So shame on their knowledge, shame on their technology.
19:35So the one sentence that my master has said,
19:38that I seek protection from that knowledge which does not benefit,
19:42this is a very big sentence.
19:44Every person should think about it,
19:46that his knowledge is spreading disorder,
19:49or his knowledge is giving benefit to the society.
19:52If it is giving benefit, then he is on the path of prophethood.
19:55If it is spreading disorder,
19:57then the poem of Allama Iqbal is not in my mind.
19:59If you read it, then everything becomes disorder.
20:03The poetry is also disorder, education is also disorder.
20:06Some subjects are such that I cannot read on air.
20:08So everything becomes disorder.
20:10So if the people of knowledge become disorder,
20:14or the people of knowledge spread disorder in the society,
20:18then there is nothing else in the society that can be reformed.
20:23You have said a very good thing.
20:24The good thing is that now we are coming to the conclusion.
20:26And fundamentally, we should not pray for knowledge,
20:28but we should pray for the knowledge of benefit.
20:30The knowledge of benefit is mentioned in the prayers of the Prophet.
20:35What will you say, Mufti sahib?
20:37Qibla, please give the conclusion of today's topic.
20:40In the light of Allama sahib's speech,
20:42you always give a positive answer.
20:46What will you say?
20:47MashaAllah, you have said such a good thing,
20:50that there is no room for more.
20:52I would like to say something in the end,
20:55while taking benefit from his knowledge.
20:57What the government has said,
20:59that seeking knowledge is obligatory on every Muslim.
21:02It is obligatory on every Muslim man and woman.
21:06It means that like Salah is obligatory,
21:08fasting is obligatory, zakat is obligatory.
21:10So we have to do it.
21:12Similarly, we have to learn knowledge.
21:15Now what happens is that we do not learn knowledge,
21:18we get information.
21:19There is a slight difference between knowledge and information.
21:22Information means,
21:23For example, if there is something from A to Z,
21:25then you take A, B, X, F from it.
21:29These are the information.
21:31And about that thing,
21:32knowledge means getting everything from A to Z.
21:35If you learn a few things about ablution,
21:37then it is knowledge.
21:38These are information.
21:39But how should one do ablution,
21:41what is sunnah, what is mustahab,
21:43what is fardh,
21:45and from what things does ablution break.
21:47If you learn all this,
21:48then it is called the knowledge of ablution.
21:50The government has ordered to learn knowledge.
21:52We are not doing that.
21:53The second and my last request is from the public.
21:56Sometimes we say that you should learn knowledge.
21:59We say that when we need it,
22:01we have the number of scholars,
22:02we call them immediately and get information.
22:04Absolutely right.
22:05It is a very good thing.
22:06But it means that the thing you need,
22:09you felt and asked about it.
22:11You have not yet realized what I need.
22:15When you do not have any awareness,
22:17you will not call about it.
22:19There are so many sisters who have said,
22:21Mr. Mufti, we have invested with our brother-in-law,
22:24with these conditions.
22:25Is my money lawful or not?
22:27It turns out that the interest has been empty for two years.
22:30This means that they themselves did not know
22:32that I need to ask about it.
22:34That is why I request people
22:36to at least do the obligatory knowledge course.
22:38It has the knowledge of beliefs,
22:40the laws of law, practical laws,
22:42and minor or major physical sins.
22:44After this, get more knowledge.
22:46And you yourself feel the need for it and find out.
22:50Then the scholar will tell you what is necessary for you.
22:53Not that what you think is necessary,
22:55just find out about it.
22:56Otherwise, you will be deficient.
22:58What do you say?
22:59I would like to thank all three of you.
23:01Allama Ali Aqid Hussain Azari Sahib,
23:03Allama Hafiz Ubaid Samad Sahib.
23:05I am very grateful to him.
23:06He gave a very good speech.
23:07Qibla Mufti Sahib,
23:08MashaAllah, he is the head of our Rehmat-e-Sahar.
23:11And he stays with us until after Fajr prayer.
23:14And your problems are solved by him.
23:16Your live questions are taken.
23:18He will provide answers.
23:19He will stay with us.
23:20The next segment is about the expression of faith.
23:23Today, Hazrat Qibla Peer Moinul Haq Gilani Sahib,
23:27the son-in-law of Qudsiya will be included.
23:30His biography will be included.
23:32And now, we are presenting the Naat of the Holy Prophet.
23:35We have four Sanahs.
23:37Bismillah.
23:48No matter how many battles we face,
23:58It is the grace of the Prophet upon us.
24:10The torment of those who love us is unbearable.
24:20Now, no one can bring us down.
24:34We will embrace each other.
24:43Now, no one can bring us down.
24:54We will embrace each other.
25:03We have brought ourselves down.
25:12We have brought ourselves down.
25:22We have brought ourselves down.
25:32It is the grace of the Prophet upon us.
25:42The torment of those who love us is unbearable.
26:00It is the grace of the Prophet upon us.
26:23It is only this much.
26:28It is only this much.
26:36Even yesterday, we used to bow down at their feet.
