00:00So Darren Hankey, Chair of the Hartlepool Town Deal Board and absolutely delighted to be here at the Civil Engineering Academy for Seymours.
00:09This is a wonderful academy which is going to provide people with knowledge, skills and qualifications to help deliver economic growth,
00:17help deliver the 1.5 million homes that need to be built. So it will be ground work, it will be rail engineers, it will be drainage engineers, it will be plant operators.
00:25And it's absolutely great to be here, it's been five years in the making and I say this is a wonderful facility for Hartlepool.
00:32I think it's right and proper that we acknowledge the great leadership of Albie Patterson who is sadly no longer with us.
00:37He was the Chair of the Hartlepool Town Deal Board until he sadly passed away.
00:41He would have loved this facility today, I know it was something close to his heart because it provides a world class training facility for Hartlepool,
00:47giving people the opportunities to access good quality jobs and good quality careers and that was something close to Albie's heart.
