00:00To further boost the Philippines' diplomatic and governance efforts, President Ferdinand
00:05Marquez, Jr. administered the oath of office of Attorney Antonio Sevilles as the new Presidential
00:11Advisor on Mindanao Concerns.
00:14According to President Marquez, Jr., Seville brings extensive experience in public service,
00:20having previously served as Governor of Zamboanga del Sur, a Congressman, and Secretary of the
00:26Department of Environment and Natural Resources, or DENR.
00:31He also expressed confidence that Seville's expertise will be instrumental in advancing
00:36the administration's efforts to bring lasting progress to Mindanao.
00:41Meanwhile, the Chief Executive also formally appointed Abdul Rauf Makakuwa as the Interim
00:47Chief Minister of the Bangsamoro Transition Authority.
00:50Following his oath-taking, the President voiced his trust that Makakuwa will continue the
00:56government's initiatives to ensure sustainable development in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region
01:02in Muslim Mindanao, or BARM.
01:05President Marquez, Jr. also highlighted that Makakuwa's leadership comes at a crucial time
