00:08Okay, before this, football teams such as P.J. Rangers and Team Sayan from Arena Isukan
00:14once swam under Asia.
00:16Recently, the local airline has collaborated with the professional golf reaper G.C.
00:22which is an elite team in the golf league, L.I.V.
00:26Reporter Kamal Nizam had the chance to get an explanation from the CEO of Asia Brand Co, Rudy Kau
00:32about this collaboration.
00:35Now I'm with the CEO of Asia Brand Co, Rudy Kau.
00:42Hi Rudy, how are you?
00:44Hello, very good, thank you.
00:45Okay, Rudy, about the collaboration itself,
00:49why golf and why the reaper G.C. in the Leaf Golf League?
00:56Because for Air Asia, we've been doing sports for a long time.
01:00We've done with MotoGP, F1, UFC, we've done a lot with football,
01:06with Manchester United and all that.
01:08And now we look at the trends, there's a lot of people that are getting into golf, even the youth.
01:15And for golf, it's something that a lot of people think is not accessible.
01:19It's very hard to get into, it's very elite.
01:22But for Air Asia as a brand, we like to disrupt, we like things that are different.
01:26And Leaf Golf, we felt, was the perfect match with us.
01:30Because Leaf Golf is also about trying to make golf more accessible for everyone.
01:34For Air Asia, maybe you yourself as the CEO, what's your mission and vision for the future in Air Asia,
01:42for the sports community, maybe for the local especially.
01:47Like we have Sepak Takraw League and also we have Netball Super League and all that.
01:52Maybe Air Asia wants to see that kind of in the future.
01:57In Malaysia, we've also done this with certain athletes before.
02:00Just recently, we've worked with a marathoner, Hazik.
02:03And we flew him to Tokyo for the Tokyo Marathon.
02:08And his goal was very simple, he wanted to beat his personal best.
02:11And he did it.
02:12So for us, that's another true Dare to Dream story.
02:14So again, like I said, it's not just about whether local, regional or global, it's about the story.
02:19And if we can find ways to also work with, I guess in this scenario, more Malaysian athletes
02:24that really have a very strong dream that they truly believe they want to achieve.
02:28We will try and find ways to work with them and support them in some ways.
02:31Whether it's just giving them flights or supporting them in some other ways,
02:35providing them access to things like Leaf Golf.
02:37That's our aim, to really encourage people to Dare to Dream.
02:42Wow, that's a lot of info to take in.
02:45Okay, I think that's all.
02:47Thank you, Rudy, for your time.
02:49Thank you very much.
02:50Welcome, Kamunizam and Rudy, to Nadi Arena.
