00:00In the near future, there will be a second edition of the PSC All-Women's Sports Awards.
00:05Some female para-athletes will be recognized for their efforts in sports.
00:11Who they are? Find out in the story of Bernadette Pinoy.
00:16Two days before the recognition of the female athletes who gave fame to the country,
00:21in the upcoming second PSC All-Women's Sports Awards,
00:25as a celebration of International Women's Month,
00:28the Philippine Sports Commission announced that some para-athletes will also give fame to the program.
00:34They are the Paralympians Agustina Bantiloc of Para-Archery,
00:39Sandy Asusano of Para-Javelin Throw,
00:42and Angel Autumn of Para-Swimming.
00:45They are also included in the list are Sita Del Mendoza,
00:48Andrea Estrella,
00:50Edeline Diasis,
00:51Maridol Pamatian,
00:53and Aishel Guillon.
00:59They are lower level, but they are achievers in themselves.
01:05I mean, even without achieving a medal,
01:08they are already achievers by just competing in the Olympus Olympics.
01:14Once again, we are celebrating International Women's Month.
01:18There's no better way for us to honor our female athletes,
01:22and for them to be considered in that year,
01:26that we want to celebrate the 5th of November,
01:29by all means, whether individual or team sport,
01:33we are not asking, we are giving the recognition
01:36that you are great players,
01:39as well as in Philippine sports.
01:42PSC also added that female athletes should only be given fame
01:46because of their negligence in their sports.
01:49Women's Sports Awards will be held on March 15,
01:52held in Century Park Hotel,
01:54where more than 100 athletes, coaches, executives, and national teams
01:59will be included.
02:02I hope there will be a way for the female athletes of today,
02:06you know, a lot of them,
02:08that they take that with regards to,
02:11recognizing themselves,
02:13one thing being a woman,
02:15and then secondly, being a woman in sports.
02:18So, all the contributions of the female athletes,
02:24the Filipino female athletes,
02:27were pretty much validated, delegated, and celebrated last year.
02:32So, for some of these who are first timers,
02:35there's a sense of excitement for Saturday.
02:41Bernadette Tinoy, for Tetang Pilipino, for Bagong Pilipinas.
