00:00Good afternoon, my name is Phil Hewitt, Group Answer for Six Newspapers. Now lovely to speak
00:07again to Bella Ridge, just to update on the progress of a new horror film, The Death of Us.
00:13Now in February, you got about 75 to 80% through the filming of the film, and you've got the last
00:19bit coming up in Celsia at the start of April. It's gone well, hasn't it? It's gone really well,
00:26it's been such a good team, the project's gone absolutely amazing, and I'm really really proud
00:30of what we have done. Absolutely, and you're heaping it up on yourself, you're the co-author,
00:35you are the director, and you are the female lead. That is independent film for you, you are wearing
00:42a lot of hats, absolutely, wouldn't change it at all, it's been absolutely amazing. And just set
00:47the scene then, the character that you're playing, Casey, what happens to her? So Casey goes through
00:53an incredibly traumatic event with her partner, Danny, and they essentially have to try and recover
01:01whilst being haunted by this really insidious creature. I can't say too much about giving the
01:07storyline away, so you'll just have to give it a watch, I guess. Absolutely, and you're hoping to
01:13have it all wrapped up and finished for August, by which time you will possibly have entered it
01:17for some festivals. But your film is good, but it's a film that feels like it's made on a much
01:23bigger budget than it actually was. Yeah, we were incredibly incredibly lucky with who we had on
01:28cinematography and lighting and just as a whole team, and the film looks a lot bigger budget than
01:34what it was. I think people will be really surprised to learn we've shot it on 12 days,
01:39a 90-minute feature. And also our cast has been brilliant, absolutely brilliant, so everyone
01:46really pulled it together. And you are into the editing now then? Yes, yes. Are you editor as
01:51well as everything else? So I'm joining the editor. Unfortunately, I am not that skilled in editing,
01:58so I've got two editors on board, but I have been sitting in with them and learning a lot, which
02:03has been really good. But the point is, it's looking good. It's looking really good, really
02:08good, very excited. Fantastic, well congratulations and looking forward to seeing it. You're going to
02:12have to somehow have a Chichester area screening, aren't you? Somehow. We definitely will, we
02:18definitely going to set it up and you will be invited. Fantastic, look forward to that.
02:23Lovely to speak to you again. Thank you. Thank you.
