00:00We got an exclusive first look inside Louisiana fast-food chicken restaurant
00:05Popeyes first Edinburgh restaurant ahead of its opening on Friday. After creating
00:10a stir with its restaurant openings in Aberdeen and Glasgow recently, Popeyes
00:15head of central marketing Georgie Ross told me what customers can expect at
00:19this Friday's opening in Edinburgh.
00:30On Friday the first 100 people in the queue will receive a free chicken sandwich, and the first 3 people in the queue will receive free chicken sandwiches for a whole year, so make sure you get down early.
00:40While I tucked into some of the delicious food at Popeyes, Georgie told us more
00:44about what customers can expect at the Princes Street opening this Friday.
00:49We're also going to have a New Orleans inspired brass band playing on the day as we open, so there will be live music to enjoy, and we've also got an American cornhole and a photo booth on site as well.
01:00And as well as some delicious chicken dishes, Georgie told us what else this new Popeyes restaurant brings to the city of Edinburgh.
01:09So this Popeyes on Princes Street has created over 100 jobs for the local area, so free lots for the local community.
01:17We're also really excited to bring the spirit of New Orleans and that hospitality to Edinburgh, and I think that's what really makes it stand out from the competition.
01:24As you can see from the restaurant, we want it to be somewhere that people come and dine in, they soak up the experience, they get the flavour of Mardi Gras and the taste of New Orleans ramen, and we hope you'll come in and really enjoy dining with us.
01:36Located in the heart of the city at 131 to 133 Princes Street, this marks Popeyes' first restaurant in Edinburgh and the seventh restaurant in Scotland, bringing its legendary chicken sandwich and signature New Orleans hospitality to even more Scottish fans.
01:53Be sure to join the queue on Friday.
