00:00The end of March to the start of May is officially Bluebell season, so I've brought you down
00:07here to The Grove in Longton, which is one of my favourite places to come for a Bluebell
00:12walk, but I also wanted to talk to you about other places throughout the region where you
00:16can go and really have a lovely time outdoors with the family.
00:28Down we've got Mason's Wood in Falwood, that's another one of my favourites. It's an ancient
00:33semi-natural woodland just off Eastway, in fact very close to Asda, and it's one of the
00:39Woodland Trust's top ten Bluebell woods in the whole of the country.
00:50It's important to remember that Bluebells are a protected species in the UK. That means
00:55it's against the law to intentionally pick, uproot or destroy Bluebells.
01:18Other areas to consider visiting are Hinning Scout Wood in Wharton, Brockhole's Nature
01:24Reserve, Moorpeace in Bashall Eves, Townley Park in Burnley and Fairy Glen at Apley Bridge.
