The Border Mail's Xavier Mardling explains how he has assembled the best teams from all the Ovens and Murray football clubs over the past 25 years.
Transcript
00:00G'day, Xavier Marveling from the Board of Mail here ahead of what's sure to be a cracking 2025
00:06Ovens and Murray season. 2025 of course marks quarter time of the 21st century and we thought
00:13what better time to look back across the last 25 years of the Ovens and Murray and pick each club's
00:19team for 25 years. It's a tough job, there's probably 10 or 12 blokes who pick themselves
00:26for each club but the real fun is finding that next 10 or 12. Now I'm sure not everyone's going
00:33to agree in fact I'm certain of that but I can't wait for your feedback and hopefully it generates
00:39a bit of discussion. So there's going to be some names you know, Yarrawonga, Fev of course,
00:44Myrtleford, Brad Murray, Lavington, Timber, we know all of that but who who makes it who misses
00:51out the criteria you have to have played 30 games so that means the one season wonders they're not
00:58in. Here at Birralee Park Paddy Rose lit the join up, not eligible. Johnny Brunner won a Morris medal
01:06in 2000, didn't play enough games. So have a look I hope you enjoy it I hope it generates some good
01:14discussion. Let us know in the comments what you think. Cheers!
