00:00Yeah, just what you said in your first answer, I mean, you sort of suggested this minerals
00:04deal does contain what we can sort of interpret as being a security guarantee or security
00:11guarantees.
00:12Just tell us why you think there is some element of security guarantee in the minerals deal.
00:17Sure.
00:18Well, look, I think the way that President Trump and his team view this is that that
00:23deal, that minerals or economic commercial deal, if you will, that will be putting likely
00:28here U.S. citizens on the ground in Ukraine.
00:31You're going to have business people from the United States on the ground in Ukraine.
00:36Other people, likely security forces, U.S. security forces, I would suspect, on the ground
00:41in Ukraine.
00:42So the reality is, if you have citizens, U.S. citizens on the ground there, plus you just
00:47have a further stake in the United States on the ground in Ukraine, further investment
00:52by the United States into Ukraine, that's going to serve, I think, in the eyes of the
00:55Trump administration as a deterrence to President Putin.
00:58It's going to make it less likely for President Putin to invade, and I think it gets it more
01:03likely that you get to a ceasefire and even more likely that you get both parties to negotiating
01:07table here.
01:08So I think people need to recognize that this deal, this minerals deal, if you will, is
01:12not just about the minerals.
01:13It's not just about the economics of this or paying back, if you will, the taxpayers
01:17of the United States.
01:18I think this administration truly believes that that in its own right will serve as a
01:22security guarantee.
