00:00Evacuees in Canlaon City were left with temporary housing after their earnings were affected by the eruption of Volcan Canlaon.

00:10The situation of our rescued citizens was informed by the Office of the Presidential Assistants for the Visayas.

00:21Undersecretary Terence Calatrava of the Office of the Presidential Assistants for the Visayas arrived at Jose Cardenas Memorial High School

00:32where he was accompanied by the Mayor of Canlaon City, Mayor Jose Chubasco Cardenas.

00:38OPAV personally informed the situation of internally displaced persons or IDPs.

00:44According to the LGU of Canlaon City, more than 3,000 individuals were affected by the eruption of Volcan Canlaon that is still under Alert Level 3 until now.

00:56The Office of the Presidential Assistants for the Visayas also allowed the distribution of financial assistance

01:03of the Department of Labor and Employment Region 7 of the 1,400 beneficiaries of the Disadvantaged Workers or TUPAD Program.

01:15As we know that last December 9, there was an eruption in Canlaon City and one of the target of TUPAD Program is the victims of calamity.

01:30In line with Canlaon, they were doing the clogging of canals as well as the ash flows and as well as the environmental management.

01:40Those are the works that are already being done by the beneficiaries.

01:46One of the recipients is the farmer, Nanay Evangeline.

01:50They did not file a case against their farm because it is still prohibited to enter the 6-kilometer danger zone.

01:58I am thankful to the President for giving us the opportunity to do this.

02:08According to DOLE Region 7, more than 600 beneficiaries are still under the profiling.

02:15To ensure that all those who can receive financial assistance are the ones who really need it.
