00:00The Department of Foreign Affairs is recognizing the postponement of the pre-enrollment period for the Online Voting and Counting Machine.
00:08The decision of the Commission on Election was made by the agency that the pre-enrollment of the OVCS is due on March 20
00:17in its effort to protect the integrity of overseas voting.
00:22According to the DFA, it hopes that the postponement will help to ensure that the OVCS will pass all the testing and certification required under the Election Automation Law of 2007.
00:36The agency is ready to implement the OVCS.
00:40The OVCS will also follow the direction of the Commission on Election in their mandate to vote for registered Filipino overseas voters.
00:51Overseas voting was suspended from April 13 to May 12 before our countrymen can vote through online voting.
