00:00Are you ready for this?
00:01Why not?
00:02It's your life.
00:03Yeah, it is.
00:07Welcome to Miz Mojo, and today we're looking at the scenes that are forever
00:12etched in the hearts of every One Tree Hill fan. Beware of major spoilers.
00:17And there's not a dry eye in the house.
00:20Number 20. Dan's Heart
00:24Searching for a former clarity. You know what they say,
00:27don't walk around with a heart or a dog might eat it.
00:31Okay, nobody says that, but they might after this weirdly comical moment from the show.
00:36All seems to finally go right for Dan as he's prepped for heart surgery.
00:41Lucas, is everything alright?
00:45It's fine. I'm getting a heart.
00:49It's about time.
00:51But you never know when life will throw one of those curveballs.
00:54Hurrying into the hospital with the heart,
00:57the paramedic falls due to a pup's leash, sending the organ spilling onto the floor.
01:03Just when you think it can't get worse, the canine leaps forward, devours it, and runs off.
01:08The dog ate his heart.
01:10You're kidding me.
01:12I'm standing right there, and this stoner guy's dog trips the paramedic and gobbles up his heart.
01:20Are you serious?
01:21I'm not joking.
01:23In a series known for hitting its dramatic notes,
01:25this hilariously random scene is as unforgettable as it gets.
01:30Great day to be alive.
01:34Number 19, Brooke's Pregnancy, The Man Who Sailed Around His Soul.
01:39One of Brooke's significant arcs is learning she can't have children.
01:43Things take another heartbreaking turn when she and Julian are unable to adopt.
01:47But if there's one thing this show teaches viewers, it's that miracles do happen.
01:52After believing parenthood would never be on the horizon,
01:55Brooke receives the most incredible surprise.
01:58With a playful tongue twister, she breaks the news to him.
02:02So, Alex came over to ask you, because her and Chase were getting closer,
02:06and she wanted to be the one to help him, but you weren't home, so Alex asked me.
02:09The slow build-up hypes viewers just as much as Julian,
02:13as the seemingly impossible becomes a joyous reality.
02:17So, Chase told Alex, and Alex told me, and I took a pregnancy test.
02:28We're pregnant.
02:29While One Tree Hill has delivered many larger-than-life twists,
02:33this one stands out as a wonderfully human moment many can relate to.
02:38Number 18, Dan Saves Nathan.
02:41Hardcore will never die, but you will.
02:43Originally the show's main antagonist, Dan spends the remaining seasons trying to make amends.
02:49He finally gets his shot at redemption when he arrives to rescue Nathan.
02:53In a thrilling genre shift, this scene morphs into an action-packed spectacle.
02:57Maybe I should just get out, just in case.
02:59You can't.
03:00Why not?
03:03You called shotgun.
03:05Throwing caution to the wind, Dan blitzes his way to Nathan,
03:08taking down any foe standing in his way.
03:11Many, many years into the story, fans get that long-awaited reconciliation between father and son.
03:18It took a battle between life and death to get these two on the same page,
03:22but the payoff is nothing short of epic.
03:25It's empty, son.
03:28They don't know that.
03:31You ready?
03:32Yeah.
03:34Uh-huh.
03:35Nathan, you're my son.
03:39I'm not gonna let anything happen to you.
03:41I promise.
03:42Number 17, Haley is having a boy.
03:45Some you give away.
03:47Nathan becomes entangled with a loan shark named Dante,
03:50who pressures him to throw the state championship game.
03:54I needed the money, okay?
03:57You said it was over!
03:59That it was just one game!
04:00It was just one game. They said it was just one game, okay?
04:03But now we have to lose, okay?
04:07Nathan, what are you talking about?
04:09With no apparent way out, he decides to give in to Dante's demands
04:13until a life-altering moment changes everything.
04:16Upon learning he and Haley are expecting a boy,
04:19he decides to be the kind of father that Dan never was.
04:23It's a boy, Nathan.
04:26You're gonna have a son.
04:29Although I have to tell you, someday he's gonna tease his father
04:31for playing like crap in the state championship.
04:36You might want to change that.
04:37Her pregnancy announcement itself was already a milestone moment in the series,
04:42but this reveal makes it all the more real.
04:44So Nathan regains his fighting spirit,
04:47delivering a stellar performance that wins him the game.
04:50Though this leads to bigger problems soon after,
04:53more on that later,
04:54the scene marks a turning point
04:56as Nathan embraces the best version of himself for his family.
05:01Number 16, Dan moves on.
05:03Danny boy.
05:04If there were any lingering doubts over Dan's turn for the better,
05:08his last scene lays them to rest.
05:10With his life in the balance,
05:11Nathan finally forgives his father for all his mistakes.
05:15Now what you've done, you're still my father.
05:21My father, I love you.
05:24But for Dan to truly move on,
05:26he has to confront his greatest regret, his brother Keith.
05:30Standing between this world and the next,
05:32the older sibling absolves the now-deceased Dan of his guilt,
05:36reflecting on the growth and atonement that he has achieved.
05:40I didn't say you were perfect.
05:43Nobody is.
05:44But you learned what's important.
05:46You learned to put friends and family first,
05:49and you've become the selfless, kind person that I always wanted for a brother.
05:54Like the kind of brother you were.
05:55Accompanied by a deeply moving soundtrack,
05:58the scene represents the end of an incredible character arc,
06:01from the person he was to who he became.
06:04This heartfelt resolution is a perfect end to Dan's story.
06:08I know where you're going.
06:10But what about me?
06:12Don't worry, little brother.
06:14You're my plus one.
06:17Number 15.
06:18Peyton finds Ellie, the wind that blew my heart away.
06:22Peyton's relationship with her biological mother
06:24is initially fraught with tension and misunderstandings.
06:28Against all odds, though, the pair embark on the road to reconciliation.
06:32But I wouldn't give back these three weeks for the world.
06:36You don't mean either.
06:38And the Peyton that I've come to know deserves to get whatever she wants.
06:44She deserves to be happy as an artist,
06:48as a friend,
06:51as a daughter.
06:52But things take a cruel turn when Ellie's health deteriorates.
06:56Hopeful for a genuine mother-daughter connection,
06:59Peyton is blindsided by the heartbreak of Ellie's passing.
07:05I don't want you to go.
07:08Sweetie,
07:10those words are gonna break my heart.
07:13The parallels between Ellie's final moments and Peyton's excitement to see her
07:18heighten the impact of the gut-wrenching moment.
07:21It's a poignant reminder of how unpredictable life can be,
07:24as Rontree Hill explores this raw, painful side of the human experience.
07:34Starting as a teen drama, the fifth season transitioned the series to appeal to an adult audience.
07:40The premiere flips the script, jumping over four years into the future,
07:44with several storylines already in motion.
07:47While some characters naturally evolve into adulthood,
07:50life hasn't been kind to others.
07:52We can't be like this, Nathan.
07:54Your son needs you.
07:58Please don't become your father.
08:01My father's in prison.
08:05So am I.
08:08It's a significant departure from where the fourth season left off,
08:12but there's also something exciting about this big leap.
08:15Serving as something of a soft reboot, it brims with endless possibilities,
08:20reminding fans that the story and the characters' journeys
08:24are far from over.
08:27Is it money, or celebrity, or power, or accomplishments?
08:30Because I have all those things, and I don't think it's enough.
08:37Well, then what is?
08:40You can't be held responsible.
08:44Love, I think.
08:46Number 13, Lucas and Brooke in the rain.
08:49The wind that blew my heart away.
08:51What's with this show and rainy kisses?
08:54And why do they have us swooning each time?
08:56The Brooke-us romance may not have gone the distance,
08:59but scenes like this prove just how good they could be.
09:03Oh, Brooke.
09:07The truth is I care about Peyton.
09:09Then what is the difference?
09:11The difference?
09:13The difference is I love you, Brooke.
09:16Although he holds the torch for Peyton deep down,
09:19nothing can convince Lucas he doesn't love Brooke at this moment.
09:22With no care for the absolute downpour they're in,
09:25he lists all the reasons why he chooses her.
09:28Call it young love or his way with words,
09:30but Brooke finds herself won over, giving way to an epic kiss in the rain.
09:35I mean, this gotta mean something, right?
09:42And because we're both gonna get pneumonia.
09:47But if you need to hear why I love you, I can go on all night.
09:53You did pretty good.
09:54Is it cheesy? Absolutely.
09:56But do we care? We most certainly do not.
09:59Number 12.
10:00Hayley leaves town with Chris Keller.
10:03The hero dies in this one.
10:04Hayley and Nathan might be One Tree Hill's ultimate couple,
10:07but even they had their share of ups and downs.
10:10One of their low points comes during her almost-romance with Chris Keller,
10:15facing marital problems amid her musical aspirations.
10:18She kisses Keller in a moment of weakness.
10:21What are you doing?
10:23Hayley.
10:24Is that what this is all about? You just hitting on me?
10:27Hayley, it's okay.
10:28No, it's not okay. I can't believe you just did that.
10:31Why don't you take this? Come with me to New York.
10:34Things get worse when she chooses to go on tour with him,
10:37throwing her marriage to Nathan in jeopardy.
10:40Though they eventually reconcile,
10:42this rough patch in the pair's relationship
10:44proves there's always room for trouble in One Tree Hill.
10:48I'm sorry. You have to believe me.
10:51That's not what this is about.
10:54Nathan.
10:55Hayley, listen.
10:57If you want to go, you should go.
11:01If you do,
11:04we're done.
11:06In retrospect, it's a painful but necessary stumble
11:09that ultimately helps them grow as a couple.
11:12Number 11.
11:13Lucas tows Peyton's car.
11:15Pilot.
11:16For most of the show's run,
11:18the latent romance keeps fans at the edge of their seats.
11:21And it all starts right here.
11:23Their bond isn't built from superficial attraction,
11:25but a deeper, genuine connection.
11:27After Lucas is called over to tow her car,
11:30an unexpected conversation flows naturally between the pair.
11:33Before they know it, he's opening up to her about his family struggles.
11:38The guys kept teasing me about it.
11:40About how Nathan's dad was my dad too.
11:43So I asked my mom.
11:45And she said he wasn't.
11:47You know, but,
11:49I get home,
11:51and I hear her crying in her room.
11:53And I knew it was true.
11:55Neither knows what draws them to the other,
11:58but their chemistry is too strong to ignore.
12:00With a blend of witty banter and emotional vulnerability,
12:04this interaction sets the scene for their romance to blossom.
12:08So why'd you just tell me all that?
12:10I mean, we don't even know each other.
12:14Maybe that's the point.
12:16Number 10.
12:17Lucas and Peyton's wedding.
12:19Forever and almost always.
12:21So many events almost got in the way of this wedding,
12:24including Lucas' wedding to another woman,
12:27which was called off at the last minute.
12:29I'm sorry, Lucas.
12:31I can't marry you.
12:33Upon finding out they were having a baby,
12:35but that the pregnancy might kill Peyton,
12:37they moved up the wedding.
12:39Just in time, might we add.
12:41Because as soon as they got home after the reception,
12:43Peyton collapsed into a coma,
12:45as a result of a complication.
12:47Peyton!
12:49Oh, God.
12:51Oh, Peyton.
12:54Stay with me.
12:56Peyton!
12:58Both mother and baby were fine in the end.
13:00The wedding was beautiful,
13:03and according to the other characters in the season,
13:05Leighton lived happily ever after.
13:07Take a ride with me, Peyton?
13:11Don't you mean Peyton Scott?
13:17Number 9.
13:18Psycho Derek kidnaps Peyton.
13:20You call it madness, but I call it love.
13:22After Peyton started posting videos online,
13:25she found herself an internet stalker.
13:27Not long after, her long-lost half-brother came into her life.
13:31But because this is Tree Hill,
13:33her so-called brother was actually said stalker,
13:35an imposter who was obsessed with her
13:37because she looked like his deceased ex-girlfriend.
13:46Hi, Peyton.
13:48He ended up holding her and Brooke hostage
13:50in her own home on prom night.
13:52And even though they were still fighting
13:54over Nathan and Brooke's past indiscretion,
13:56the girls worked out together
13:58to outsmart Psycho Derek.
14:00Real name, Ian Banks.
14:12Maybe now that he's in jail,
14:14he can deal with the demons from his past
14:16instead of kidnapping strangers.
14:19Number 8.
14:20Brooke vs. Xavier.
14:21Things a mama don't know.
14:23Xavier had us screaming at our TVs in frustration.
14:26Not only did he attack Brooke in her own store,
14:29and cause the confident girl we all know and love
14:31to become broken and afraid,
14:33he also killed Quentin Fields.
14:35No one realized until much later
14:37that the two incidents were related,
14:39but Xavier was responsible
14:41for so much grief in Tree Hill.
14:55He even held his own brother
14:58and foster daughter hostage,
15:00but luckily Brooke saved the day
15:02and viewers got the satisfaction of watching her win.
15:04After serving time,
15:06he came back with a vengeance,
15:08but Brooke just beat him again.
15:16Number 7.
15:18Lucas chooses Peyton.
15:20Some you give away.
15:22Four seasons of Will They or Won't They
15:24led up to this moment,
15:26and finally became official.
15:28A part of Lucas had always been in love with her,
15:30but over the seasons,
15:32he'd also had an on-off relationship with Brooke
15:34and dated other girls as well.
15:52After he and Brooke ended things for good,
15:54he finally realized the person he wanted
15:56by his side at the end of the day
15:58was Peyton.
16:00This is exactly what he tells her
16:02before they kiss in the middle of the basketball court
16:04after winning their championship game.
16:24It's you, Peyton.
16:26Number 6.
16:28Nanny Carrie kidnaps Jamie.
16:30You've dug your own grave.
16:32Now lie in it.
16:34It's me, Nanny Carrie. Open up.
16:36No, Mama says you're a bad person.
16:38Oh, that's not true. I love you, remember?
16:40Open the door, buddy.
16:42No, I want my mama.
16:44I am your mama now.
16:46Unlock that door this instant.
16:48After Nanny Carrie,
16:50we would think twice about letting someone else
16:53Not only did Carrie express
16:55obvious feelings for Nathan,
16:57but she also became obsessed with Jamie
16:59to the point that she kidnapped him
17:01during a wedding and tried
17:03to dye his hair.
17:05Tell me where you are, Jimmy Jam.
17:07I won't be mad anymore.
17:09I promise.
17:11I've got something special for you.
17:13She almost got
17:15away with it, too, but Dan, of all people,
17:17caught her red-handed.
17:19She later got her revenge by kidnapping
17:21Dan, but this time her plans
17:23were foiled by Jamie, Hayley,
17:25Deb, and a bottle of wine.
17:27We almost feel bad for her. Almost.
17:29Number five.
17:31Series finale. One Tree Hill.
17:33Fans were obviously sad to see the show go,
17:35but at least the drama, which lasted
17:37nine seasons, got a well-deserved
17:39send-off. Gavin DeGraw
17:41performs at Trick's tenth anniversary,
17:43prompting characters to sing
17:45along to their own theme song.
17:47I know you don't believe it,
17:49but I said it
17:51and I still mean it.
17:53When you heard
17:55what I told you,
17:57when you get worried,
17:59don't be a soldier.
18:01And once again, we saw the series jump
18:03ahead in the future, and all of our
18:05favorites were happy and headed off
18:07together to Jamie's basketball game,
18:09where he is shown to be an even better
18:11player than Nathan or Lucas.
18:13Basketball was what brought the characters together
18:15in the first place, and it was nice
18:17to know it would keep them together through adulthood.
18:19If you had a friend you knew
18:21you'd never see again,
18:23what would you say?
18:25If you could do one last thing
18:27for someone you love,
18:29what would it be?
18:31Say it.
18:33Do it.
18:35Don't wait.
18:37Nothing lasts forever.
18:39Number four. Nathan and Lucas play each other
18:41for the first time. Pilot.
18:43Despite all the drama, at its
18:45core, this was a show about
18:47basketball. And one thing that estranged
18:49half-brothers Nathan and Lucas
18:51had in common was that they were both
18:53really good at it. However, Nathan
18:55was a star player on the high school team,
18:57and Lucas played in the town's
18:59tiny court with his friends.
19:01You should never mention me, man.
19:03Not once in all these years.
19:05This is for my mom.
19:07At the end of the Pilot
19:09episode, the boys play each other
19:11to decide whether Lucas will join the school team
19:13since they are in need of new players.
19:15Lucas wins, and it sparks
19:17the beginning of a great rivalry first,
19:19an equally great friendship later on,
19:21and eventually, brotherhood.
19:23Peyton.
19:31I'll be seeing you.
19:33Number three. The limo
19:35goes over the bridge. The show must
19:37go on. One Tree Hill is a show
19:39that proves time and time again
19:41how good it is at creating epic
19:43cliffhangers. This one in particular
19:45involved a drunken Rachel and
19:47Nathan's Uncle Cooper crashing the limo
19:49over a bridge during Nathan and
19:51Haley's wedding. Nathan jumped in
19:53after them and never came back up.
19:55Haley, call 911.
19:57Nathan, don't!
20:01I love you.
20:03The episode ended with Haley
20:05screaming for him from the bridge, with
20:07a final shot of the famous Naley
20:09bracelet floating on the water.
20:11Of course, everyone ended up surviving,
20:13though Cooper spent some time in
20:15a coma, but still, that ending
20:17was brutal. Love is not
20:19love which alters when it alteration
20:21finds. Number two.
20:23Haley gets hit by a car,
20:25and Lucas' heart stops. Some
20:27you give away. The only good thing
20:29that came from this basketball game, besides
20:31the team winning, was Lucas and
20:33Peyton getting together. Otherwise,
20:35the rest of the night was kind of crazy.
20:37It all started with Nathan making
20:39a deal with some thugs to lose
20:41the championship game. So when he didn't,
20:43they retaliated by running
20:45Haley over.
20:47Listen, there's
20:49a reason that I played so bad tonight at first.
20:51What do you mean?
20:53Nathan, look out!
20:55She and the baby
20:57were fine in the end, but her
20:59accident caused Lucas to go into
21:01cardiac arrest. Further still,
21:03Nathan beats the guy who hit her to
21:05death, though Dan ends up taking
21:07the fool for it to protect him.
21:09Go on.
21:11Haley needs you, Nathan.
21:13Your child needs you.
21:15Go! Before we continue,
21:17be sure to subscribe to our channel
21:19and ring the bell to get notified about
21:21our latest videos. You have the option
21:23to be notified for occasional videos
21:25or all of them. If you're on your phone,
21:27make sure you go into your settings and
21:29switch on notifications.
21:31Number one.
21:33Dan kills Keith. With tired
21:35eyes, tired minds, tired souls,
21:37we slept. The name Dan
21:39Scott is one that inspired hatred
21:41in characters and viewers alike,
21:43but somehow also became one of TV's
21:45most likable villains over the
21:47seasons. However, the one thing
21:49he will never be forgiven for is killing
21:51his brother Keith in cold blood
21:53in the aftermath of the school shooting.
21:55Dan was always jealous of Keith,
21:57mainly because everyone liked him better.
21:59For so many years, I was
22:01so jealous of you.
22:05I should've been trying to be more like you.
22:07Even his own son looked at Keith
22:09as a father figure. Still, we never thought
22:11he would stoop that low until
22:13he did, changing the lives
22:15of everyone in Tree Hill Forever.
22:17He certainly was a piece of
22:19work. Does this
22:21darkness have a name?
