00:00:00welcome back ladies and gentlemen my name is Connor here with my father Kevin
00:00:05and today we have a special guest Wallows you guys want to introduce
00:00:10yourselves one by one yeah I'm Dylan I'm Cole and I'm Braden yeah I looked right
00:00:19at not the camera when I said I just like that it's deer in the headlights
00:00:25yeah whoa we can shut those off and make it cozy yeah like candles and make it
00:00:31real nice yeah yeah uh first and foremost how you guys doing doing good
00:00:39day one of the tour is over day one is over how are you feeling Cole sorry I
00:00:43feel bad you don't know my I feel great I feel great this is day two yes like it
00:00:50officially felt like tour last night and this morning because we moved into the
00:00:54bus yesterday hmm we were like in a hotel like playing hotel before and then
00:00:58we had our first night on the bus and that's the realization of oh I'm on tour
00:01:02yeah waking up in a parking lot this is morning one morning one of tour like day
00:01:08two but first morning is a real thing and how was the show last night it was
00:01:15amazing was it yeah it was it was uh it was surreal all day I just felt like I
00:01:20was gonna be going back to my apartment and like going to sleep and like it just
00:01:25felt like it didn't feel like we were just kind of standing around before the
00:01:29show and it was hard to believe that we're going on like tour yeah just say
00:01:33like it's it's once you get in the groove you realize like you're away
00:01:36because sometimes it's hard for me to like get adjusted to things quickly so
00:01:40like I'm in that zone I'm like wait what's going on like my my inner compass
00:01:43is kind of like yeah I just met it do I meditate do I sit in a corner do I talk
00:01:51I'm like what's going on but the show exceeded all our expectations oh wow it
00:01:56was it all everyone seemed to have a great time and we had a great time and
00:02:00you have any time to explore Portland at all or did you just get there and go
00:02:05right to the venue I got a smoothie which is Portland is not known for
00:02:11smoothies and they should be good didn't get to explore we've gotten to
00:02:18explore Portland more in the past I feel like ironically maybe it's because we
00:02:22were in hotels before well not the last couple times maybe just once we've
00:02:25explored Portland a bit I like Portland it's a cool city yeah it's um but we
00:02:30just kind of this time I just kind of like relaxed my way into the beginning
00:02:34of tour just like went to bed early and just wanted to like feel as then as
00:02:39possible for this yeah but it was cool like we've we've done like a number
00:02:42we've done a lot of production rehearsals now at this point for the
00:02:44tour so doing the same thing we've done like a number of times recently but like
00:02:49just with an audience I like had to keep convincing myself that we were actually
00:02:53doing it in front of an audience now because we're sort of we're revealing
00:02:57like what the basic setlist is and the lights and there's no more secrets
00:03:00anymore yeah even though they're like we'll do something new it's sort of at
00:03:04every show and but um yeah I was really like they said it did exceed our
00:03:10expectations I feel it felt like big and cool and I feel like it's gonna be a
00:03:14good tour I think yeah as a newbie for me it's like I didn't know I know you
00:03:18guys are touring now I didn't know how many tours so how many tours were there
00:03:21prior you guys been on that's a good question let me do some math and my
00:03:27focus up how many have we done like a tour for every album yeah so like the
00:03:332018 there's one in 2018 one in 2019 I mean as a tour like an album cycle is a
00:03:39tour like North America Europe you get in the crackling oh yeah I think that's
00:03:47just a headphone crackling though oh I was like I kind of love it feels like
00:03:52campfire yeah yeah no I mean we've been on what like three tours or like more
00:04:04than that it's you know I'm saying like a tour per album sort of yeah but then
00:04:09it's always broken up into like smaller chunks right so oh yeah cuz there was a
00:04:16tour for the spring EP technically and then the three albums yeah so yeah the
00:04:19fourth tour Wow yeah yeah and that's Europe included yeah sorry when I say
00:04:27tour it's like yeah different runs so dip you know yeah this is I mean in
00:04:32terms of a North American tour in general probably like our eighth or
00:04:36something overall Wow okay cuz like we're gonna hit North America again more
00:04:40next year and yeah territories and stuff like well you know what when you come
00:04:44back we'll have another mic I think so we've toured a lot but like four cycles
00:04:54like we just started a this tour will go like throughout next year so that's in
00:05:00this whole tour will be even though we end this run in mid-september like this
00:05:03will be done and yeah like it kind of like a year and a half so that's when
00:05:06you go to Europe we go to Europe in a couple months yeah that's pretty quick
00:05:10yeah and then Australia and then we do a lot more next like a lot of festivals
00:05:14next year I'm actually gonna go to the show you have in London really yeah I'll
00:05:20be there in October so I'll get to experience what a Canadian crowd is like
00:05:27and what a you know UK crowd is like for a wall of show so I'm excited for that
00:05:33look I love Canadian crowds but like UK does give the most places a run for the
00:05:39crazy yeah I've been to a few UK shows just as a fan and yeah the crowds there
00:05:47the fans are just I don't know what's in their systems but they are insane in the
00:05:53best way possible it's awesome like their festival crowds to like we play
00:05:57Reading and leads a couple oh did you yeah and Wow we played it like two
00:06:03o'clock in the afternoon did not have any expectations of crowd or like
00:06:08energy and it was kind of by far and away the best well one of the best
00:06:13festival crowds we've had because then we had South America which was also
00:06:15crazy I was just gonna say you know like in Canada Montreal's known for being the
00:06:20crowd yeah it's it's it's huge like a Metallica came here to record a show
00:06:24like for a live video and they shot the whole thing over two days here they
00:06:29didn't use any of the footage they use everything from everything from Montreal
00:06:33well Montreal is like the most European Canadian city yeah so it was like they
00:06:38used all of it and I'm like I went to the two shows like if it was like a free
00:06:41ticket type of thing oh and they told you to okay go now go crazy and it was
00:06:44like master of puppets or whatever and then people are just nodding their heads
00:06:48not in their heads but it's like smoking a joint that's what I was gonna ask you
00:06:53did you when you guys came over the board did you smell weed no no I mean
00:06:59funnily enough going back to Portland yeah this is a funny story I don't
00:07:06really smoke weed I don't know if you guys I don't know whatever I don't
00:07:09really smoke weed but I could like count on my hands the amount of times I have
00:07:13but last time we were in Portland was the last time I was high yeah and it was
00:07:18an accident in a way and the hotel we were staying at literally feels like
00:07:22you're already high because it's like it's like hypnotized tiles it's like
00:07:27crazy wallpaper it's a crazy it's like in like there's like antler chairs and
00:07:33I'm just like crazy and I remember getting out of the elevator because I
00:07:35like took like one hit of something I was like I'm not gonna get high it's all
00:07:38good and I was just like it was like 30% THC and I was like no I did jumping
00:07:44jacks I was like you're not high Braden you're good and oh god what a night and
00:07:48then we went back to the hotel and I was like I feel like I'm high again because
00:07:51this place is so trippy and already so yeah be responsible yeah no no I made
00:07:57one mistake of there was I have some really light stuff for my condition
00:08:01right mm-hmm arthritis super low THC high CBD there's something cracking
00:08:05that's right yeah there we go oh this might it's there yeah sorry just
00:08:09headphones oh um so I went on the porch one day after we finished filming Connor
00:08:13was out I went to the cupboard I pulled this half a joint out and I'm like my
00:08:17my body was killing me yep puffed it like crazy I'm sitting there
00:08:20listening to some music and then I was like holy shit I'm not here and then it
00:08:25was a major panic attack oh yeah and then like derealization I didn't know
00:08:30where I was you didn't ask for help though no we were all home and my sister
00:08:36gets one text and it was like can I get some water and then I was she's like
00:08:42yeah sure where are you and then he's like I'm in the closet and he was in the
00:08:49bedroom closet upstairs it's sunglasses on curled up in a ball listening to
00:08:54meditation music yeah underneath my wife's clothes like I was behind them
00:08:59and I was like I just have to it was like no I'm not doing this again Wow
00:09:04that's hilarious no so I if if I'm gonna have a puff of my stuff I keep it in my
00:09:10own jar and in you know away from his anybody else's stuff right yeah that's
00:09:15your new like red alert text yeah can I get a glass of water yeah the only way
00:09:20they calm me down which was crazy is they put headphones on me with modern
00:09:24family oh wow and said close your eyes they put an eyepatch on and I watch
00:09:28modern family I feel like you just got to distract yourself yeah yeah cuz I was
00:09:32weird but yeah no I'm not like you should try the Texas Chancellor masker
00:09:36next time that brings me to the video I loved watching the making of the video
00:09:44the other night and it was super super cool like so could I ask that house by
00:09:50itself looked haunted where was the house and did some killings actually
00:09:55happen no it looked freaky yeah no it this is the bad dream video right yes
00:10:00yeah the bad dream video yeah where that was filmed just some place in just a
00:10:04just a random house in Hollywood Wow yeah just like deep Hollywood kind of
00:10:08weird 1950s yeah it's kind of like creaky old weird like it's like a place
00:10:14you rent online to film stuff so it's like gutted yeah yeah that was fun
00:10:19though it was fun watching it in the process right it's a weird house though
00:10:23like it's a very I was there and I was like my girlfriend came to visit I was
00:10:29like you have to look at this house it's kind of weird because the entrance feels
00:10:33like it's the entrance to a mansion you know like the spiral staircase these
00:10:37like marble floors and you go in all the other bedrooms are just like wooden it's
00:10:41really strange and it's just in the middle of a very busy Hollywood area but
00:10:46then we also did some of the video I like a really nice sort of mid-century
00:10:51home and in is it Tarzana or something no it was like some of the valley kind
00:10:56of yeah now it's a really beautiful house but we did like we shot sort of
00:11:02three different videos at the same time which we've never done before we did bad
00:11:05dream obviously and then we did this video for you show me where my days went
00:11:09that's yeah yeah and you're talking like big for us oh yeah we love you guys yeah
00:11:17you're welcome next week we did that in the backyard of the mid-century house
00:11:21and then we did a thing where we jumped in the pool of that house for another
00:11:24video so it's just two days of like three videos at once and yeah like but
00:11:28then we had all our friends coming in to do the shots for bad dream and stuff
00:11:30like that um the bad dream is like my favorite video we've made so oh I love
00:11:35it there's a real favorite yes it's a creepiness about it
00:11:39thanks like it's creepy and who okay can I ask I gotta ask who's the creep how
00:11:44did you get the creep his name is Steven yeah yeah Stevens woman shout
00:11:49out Steven shout out to Steven yeah so easy to work with and yeah so just down
00:11:55like he was like the more you put me in the video the better just like down to
00:11:59like just grind it out the so my girlfriend Nina directed the video did
00:12:05she yeah yeah Wow the producers that she worked with worked on a Joji video yeah
00:12:13Joji the youtuber whom yes yeah nectar nectar is a I think so yeah yeah yeah
00:12:19yeah but you can see Steven the same dude in a Joji video where they're like
00:12:25on the beach and it's also just so like weird and funny and cool yeah so yeah
00:12:30that that video I forget what the song is but um it's really good yeah we had a
00:12:34mask for him originally to wear did you the killer and yeah I realized his face
00:12:38is too iconic by it's not even a like in a bat we're just like dude you look
00:12:43awesome yeah and you have a great look so happy that we made that choice yeah
00:12:47he was like I'd rather not have the mask yeah let's just go help some for his
00:12:51career exactly yeah yeah who's the guy behind the mask who knows right yeah no
00:12:56one knows there was the first shot we were watching yeah we were watching
00:13:00rehearsal and we were like he was wearing the mask like I feel like it was
00:13:03better without the mask yeah and it was a good call yeah no so those other two
00:13:07are they gonna be released or have they been released they have they have okay
00:13:10dream is the last one of those to come out one of them was sort of like more of
00:13:12a visualizer yeah kind of thing slow motion out of a pool and whatever yeah
00:13:16and then the other was also one take thing but it was where we destroy this
00:13:21set that we built in the backyard of this house and oh yeah yeah really simple
00:13:27but yeah Connor keeps me on a tight leash so this I've only listened to
00:13:30model oh cool yeah actually you know what I get my question I guess I have to
00:13:34go do is I watched the today show performance right okay so cool so I so
00:13:38I was spoiled by one song right but how was that like because I've why I grew up
00:13:43watching the today show and those performances outside and then being there
00:13:47in New York and just your guys's interaction with the the audience and
00:13:51then you hand in the microphone over to them and that stuff like that was was it
00:13:55morning show today show yeah that's right yeah how was that was that it was
00:14:00surreal yeah because like I remember I think you guys probably too but I
00:14:05remember like growing up and watching it before school like eating like that's
00:14:10yeah yeah yeah like it's it's so it's in Canada yeah yeah we have to bootleg it
00:14:17but it's there's 13 antennas on the roof
00:14:23felt like it's it's hard sometimes to have like a big moment and have it
00:14:27actually feel real like soak it in and feel like a real big moment yeah we were
00:14:31there doing it I was like this this was pretty legit this is crazy like being in
00:14:35the middle of Rockefeller and like that is thousand fans there and it's 5 in the
00:14:39morning and you're but it was it that early we got there like 4 3 yeah I woke
00:14:44up at like 3 in the morning to get ready to go it was it was good morning you
00:14:48know Wow and we just played the night before like an album release show at
00:14:52Bowery ballroom so like man how do you guys do it I got like 30 minutes hour of
00:14:56sleep and then we played but it went well like when you and it's it was our
00:14:58first time doing something on live television cuz yeah I was pre-recorded
00:15:02and that's like SNL or that and so which we haven't done SNL yet but he will
00:15:06though thanks yeah yeah it was so that was nerve-wracking but once we did it
00:15:13it just felt it went well and then like our Brandon I our moms were there you
00:15:17might have seen and they're like that is credibly what a cool moment eh here's my
00:15:23questions okay yeah he's got him in his head let's hear it I'm 75 so I'm excited
00:15:28okay I'm gonna actually read this one okay I know it's only day tour of the
00:15:32tour guys but as you move along is there certain tracks that you feel you will
00:15:36give a little bit of arrangement change to increase the length the tempo and
00:15:40mess around with there's there certain ones that you said you know you're gonna
00:15:43play around with do you ever have like psychic visions you do you ever like
00:15:49future because that happened yeah we did that did you yeah we did wait you
00:15:55said yes I'm really interested in no yeah we we actually did extend the
00:16:01arrangements and do different versions of the songs for the first time like
00:16:05ever on this tour so yes we are gonna do that that's fantastic model songs not
00:16:10really right no but some of the older some of the older stuff because you know
00:16:13sometimes when you play it you know for the hundredth time yeah you can you
00:16:17start to realize like okay maybe something should change here just
00:16:21because like we've been doing it the same so yeah there's definitely some
00:16:25sort of new arrangements and also we have like like more lights than ever so
00:16:29like the lights are kind of influencing how we arrange oh wow that's interesting
00:16:33it's very interesting it's so yeah yes that's that is a great yeah I always
00:16:38wonder you know I went to John's cougar melon count right he's been playing you
00:16:43know for millions of years my wife's a huge fan we go to the show he's gonna
00:16:51kill me but he like pink houses he changes it so much now like he's changed
00:16:58he's done it so long that it's like it's it's actually boring for him right
00:17:02he's been doing a 30 years or something so Jack and Diane he changes it up so so
00:17:06much but you know with the new with a new album like model if you get to a
00:17:10point like halfway through the tour you like you know what you're gonna extend
00:17:13the middle of section you know I mean and you know me just extend the middle
00:17:17of the section and do you know just have that creativity yeah change something up
00:17:20like I could see at some point we're in the tour where you go you know what I
00:17:23want to add this or that you know I mean yeah I feel like this time like yeah we
00:17:30might have that instinct at some point but because of the the way that
00:17:36everything has to come together production wise yeah like we don't have
00:17:39as much freedom to like make those changes on the fly because we're playing
00:17:44to a click and like there's some tracks and okay yeah yeah the lights like
00:17:47everything is yeah I'm coded out in advance like whenever the lights are in
00:17:51sync with hits it's all like pre-planned yeah so we'd have to like bring a
00:17:56lighting but we'd have to do like a lot more big overhaul if we were to make an
00:17:59arrangement change now yeah so we kind of had to like use our psychic visions
00:18:06so like pre-plan this whole show oh that's oh that's a good point I didn't
00:18:10think about the lighting and all that that's structure right yeah production
00:18:14rehearsals we were like giving a ton of production rehearsals are like when
00:18:18you're playing a show and like a big like sort of warehouse space and you can
00:18:20like play the show as if that you were doing it to make sure that it all looks
00:18:24good and you know what you're doing but like we'd sit we come in early and give
00:18:27hours of notes on like little light details and whatnot and then the people
00:18:30that are programming the lights were there to like two or five in the morning
00:18:33every night just like making the notes on them so it's like well we really put
00:18:36a lot of effort and work into this show like more than ever mm-hmm and yeah and
00:18:41like it's the first time that we're playing to like all click and the lights
00:18:45are programmed to like the lights are programmed to our click so yeah that's
00:18:50it's it's really interesting but it's it does make the show feel like more
00:18:54bulletproof in a way we're like like it feels like yeah it's like pretty locked
00:18:57in yeah as a drummer I was just gonna ask you yeah sometimes I forget that
00:19:02that's what's happening yeah I'm like it almost feels as though like the drums
00:19:07like I'm in control of it in a way yeah like you hit and then the lights you're
00:19:11like oh yeah it feels like really fun to like yeah like wow everything's like in
00:19:19sync somehow yeah but does that take away a little bit from your freedom of
00:19:22your fills and stuff like that it definitely I think playing to a click
00:19:27yeah becomes a bit I mean I still have so much fun yeah yeah it takes the the
00:19:32mystery away yeah because like yeah I can still do like some different fills
00:19:36and stuff yeah ultimately like my job on stage is to not like fuck it up
00:19:41basically yeah I do that then the whole show if the whole show was like off by
00:19:45a horrible so I'm like I'm pretty like I was watching video from last night and
00:19:53like during a lot of the songs where I'm really focused like my mouth is just
00:19:57I mean like consciously think about like what's happening now spoiler there there
00:20:02is there is one song we don't play to click yeah don't and that's one that I
00:20:08drum okay oh well this is not a very good drummer and I can't play to a click
00:20:14I try to click and I just fall off it's hard to think man it's hard so that one
00:20:17we just play really fast and just free ball that one but then and then our
00:20:21lighting guy is like actually doing the lights manually man yeah yeah and he's
00:20:28doing stuff manually and every song I don't really know how it works but like
00:20:30say yeah it's all kind of a really serious yeah you hear what time code is
00:20:35yeah yeah it's like when you hear time code it's just like the craziest yes
00:20:40alarming sounds screech sounds yeah like whatever the how would you explain
00:20:44whatever the it is that for them for the click for the lights to match the click
00:20:50Wow I guess cuz lights like lights don't understand audio or like MIDI yeah
00:20:56I always thought it would be like MIDI changes or something MIDI logs you know
00:21:00yeah like the way lights work it has to be like FPS so I think it's like 24
00:21:06frames so yeah like time code I'm not gonna explain this totally you have to
00:21:13like instead of being on a BPM it's like you have to pick the right frame as
00:21:19though it's like a movie because it the lights understand like what a camera
00:21:23would understand yeah yeah yeah that makes sense so when you hear just that
00:21:27data or whatever that would be it's like it's just like yeah robot but you're
00:21:33hearing that no oh jeez that'd be crazy that'd be I that'd be awesome yeah no but
00:21:39when you hear it for a second like oh that's the time code and it's like so
00:21:42disturbing sounding it's like that's crazy one of my one of my questions here
00:21:46I don't know if you have another question you can go for you I'm just I'm
00:21:48just going to throw the way here this was uh I'm coming back to that the
00:21:55headphone point but at what point in the writing process do you guys decide who's
00:22:00going to be doing lead vocals so what's that process that's for me it's it's
00:22:05really interesting because does somebody come up with the song originally and say
00:22:09I'm singing this or do you go that maybe that's for one of you got you know
00:22:12someone else yeah I mean I'd say 90% of the time the person who comes up with
00:22:19the melody will sing the song okay I would say yeah there's a few examples in
00:22:22our catalog where Dylan and I both sing lead and usually that has to do with the
00:22:26fact that maybe I started a melody and then he came up with one I'm like well I
00:22:32don't want to let go of the thing I started so maybe we just mix them
00:22:35together that's very McCartney and Lennon yeah yeah we try to I mean yeah
00:22:40that's that's always a huge kind of influence for us as well and there's I
00:22:46mean I think the main example of a song that like was like given to another
00:22:51person to sing was probably only ecstasy like I remember like not given but like
00:22:56I just basically had the the verse and the chorus for the last song on model
00:23:00and and then Dylan just like had these other amazing lyrics that he came up
00:23:06with and I'm just like it doesn't feel right if I sing those words because
00:23:10they're just so true to you and then he had other melodies that he brought to
00:23:14the table and we debated for a second if we should both sing a verse or something
00:23:18but it just didn't feel natural on the other hand the song a warning on model
00:23:22we both sang a whole passive lead each so I sang the whole song he's saying the
00:23:27whole song and we told our producer John we're like you pick who sings what
00:23:30because we both want to sing on that song yeah and then that that happened
00:23:34pretty well but usually it's just pretty I actually kind of didn't want to
00:23:37sing about song I was oh yeah true I died sorry oh sorry to hear that here
00:23:44don't worry um no I yeah we just we just hear you through a frequency like you're
00:23:54you're like okay no I actually kind of didn't want to
00:24:04sing a warning I remember hoping that John would be like yeah Brayden sounds
00:24:07better for some reason so you said we both want to I kind of didn't want to I
00:24:10don't know I was like I want it's right he was like you both sound great I was
00:24:12like all right I love that song I was just like I don't need to sing this song
00:24:16yeah but I like that you guys made that decision to say you know what you wrote
00:24:19the lyrics on this there's you know I mean it you should be singing it that's
00:24:23like that's a good thing like within the band right yeah also write lyrics of
00:24:27each other sing sometimes oh yeah for sure you know we help we all like it's
00:24:31the kind of thing we'll finish lyrics and we'll bring it to the at least for
00:24:34this album we bring it to the room with our producer John and us and we like
00:24:36read the lyrics I'm like does this whole make sense and we break it down or
00:24:39change the lines together and stuff like that which is a pretty frequent
00:24:44experience on this one cool I got a question for you if you don't mind is
00:24:47you play drums yes I've seen you play keys Connor's shown me many Beatles
00:24:52covers what don't you play oh man trombone cannot play the trombone okay
00:24:59trumpet play Trump nope no I mean I can barely play keys I think like when we
00:25:06record yeah I'll often play the synths or the pianos just because like I I like
00:25:13can muscle through it in a way like like you're honestly a great keys player I'm
00:25:18not yeah but yeah like I'm not I've just I'm fully self-taught MIDI keyboard
00:25:26warrior guy yeah I've no yeah it's tough for me yeah yeah I just think he's a
00:25:33guitar player too yeah it's crazy triple threat quadruple threat yeah yeah I'm
00:25:41gonna go back to mine yep sorry yeah my mine are all Beatles related so I'm
00:25:47excited let's go do it this is one thing I really want to ask because I'm
00:25:53always curious because oh actually I had this question take that question well
00:25:57no let's just take it here let's hear it this isn't your writing I had it
00:26:03written a little differently but he reads a lot of books I do you all have
00:26:12musical and not y'all sorry I said it like I didn't write no I know I said it
00:26:16very country do y'all have a musical household no do you all have musical
00:26:23house did you all have musical households growing up so and my question
00:26:28was kind of like you know what are some early memories of music in your
00:26:33households because you showed me a lot of music growing up here's your yeah
00:26:37that's why when people on the channel say can you turn the tables the dad
00:26:40needs to show Connors to music oh yeah always well I can he knows Elton John
00:26:45comments all the time people like ours and can you show can the dad show Connor
00:26:51sergeant pepper or thriller yeah no I'm like dude like you know but we've
00:26:58thought about faking it one day as a yeah yeah where I just freak out yeah
00:27:01like overly numb he's like yeah I just like crazy that's funny that's funny but
00:27:08anything for you guys like that was yeah what are some like early memories you
00:27:12have like just with in your household with music yeah I mean my dad's amazing
00:27:16guitar player and was in a lot of like local bands in Ohio where I'm from where
00:27:20I grew up amazing guitar player and I remember one of the first things I
00:27:25thought of was him playing at this place called the mocha house like a coffee
00:27:28shop when I was like three years old and yeah I mean I would go to so many so
00:27:33many of his gigs and he's also a huge Beatles fan like that's like his thing
00:27:37and he showed me the Beatles one album and sergeant pepper when I was like nine
00:27:43and it just like it definitely made me want to start playing music that's great
00:27:47um which was amazing and my dad also was amazing guitar player growing up kind of
00:27:52the same story as Braden I was in Indiana my dad was playing a bunch of
00:27:54bands and he would like we'd be having dinner like my mom and dad and I and
00:27:58he'd have on these records he'd be playing all like classic rock stuff and
00:28:02then and he would quiz me on it so like I remember I'd be listening to Abbey Road
00:28:05like three and four I'd know every all the words every song in Abbey Road it's
00:28:09like the first album I remember really like understanding and like sneaking my
00:28:12teeth into and um he'd be asking me like no who sings this one I'd be like George Harrison
00:28:18yeah like and that's actually the first album that I bought myself I remember
00:28:23when I like bought a CD I bought Abbey Road for the first time I was like cool
00:28:26I bought Abbey Road well and Cole would how did you start yeah I my family no
00:28:33musical no musical not a musical household at all but I I think for me
00:28:40playing music was my parents just wanted me to like do something yeah and so my
00:28:46sister and I were swimmers oh wow I woke up and I was like I really don't want to
00:28:51swim anymore yeah and so I was obsessed with Guitar Hero and rock band and so
00:28:56yeah that is the reason that I decided to play drums well yeah that's sick yeah
00:29:01my mom said like oh yeah just whatever keeps you out of trouble and that was
00:29:05for me playing playing the drums did you start with a kit with it with a kit drum
00:29:10kit yeah yeah well yeah I don't know if you've ever played rock band I've played
00:29:14rock band yeah yeah 360 yeah the drums are more or less like yeah real drums
00:29:19yeah so if you can go expert mode in rock band you're basically just playing
00:29:23actual drum music yeah so it translates really easily do you still go back and
00:29:29play some rock band here and there no I wish we once had a like sleepover at
00:29:41Braden's house where we played the almost the entirety of Beatles rock band
00:29:44in a single night from the cavern to the rooftop oh fantastic what else you got
00:29:55on your I've got so many updates Wow go for it yeah I'm loving these okay
00:30:00gentlemen yes is there a city or a venue you're most looking forward to playing
00:30:05on this tour and it went straight to I'm just gonna say well I'll let you guys
00:30:10know this is no bullshit top three for me is Vancouver I'm very excited Wow
00:30:13seriously super excited like I I think just cuz I spent a lot of time here my
00:30:18girlfriend's from here yeah we all love Vancouver in general but like I've now
00:30:22spent like extra time here and totally not related to work and it's like my
00:30:26favorite city it's like a top three city for me in the world so naturally I'm
00:30:29just excited to be here again and know a lot I have people on a guest list here
00:30:33I'm excited it'll be great oh this is that's fantastic I just wanted to I mean
00:30:38it's kind of changing the subject a little bit but I was just curious about
00:30:41like how you came across watching was it you that that found the channel Dylan or
00:30:47was it uh yeah I mean how I did I tell you guys but are you guys seen it too
00:30:51you told you showed me okay yeah you had found it as well
00:30:56Braden and I are YouTube searchers yeah we yes I guess we both kind of found you
00:31:02guys yeah yeah I was curious about how you found like do you remember what
00:31:06video it was or like was there a specific band that you like it popped up
00:31:10in your feed and you I wish I remember the first one would it be those guys
00:31:13back there by chance it I know it might have been might have been is this it you
00:31:18react oh yeah yeah we did that we did that yeah I've been that one because it
00:31:21was like I look like I really like watching people react to things
00:31:26particularly things that I'm very familiar with so like watching you show
00:31:31him yes I'm like is this it I was probably something like that or it was
00:31:36like a new album that had just come out at that time it must have been like I
00:31:40mean you guys been doing it for a couple years right yeah three almost no just
00:31:44over three years oh wow that's nuts I think it must have been I told him he's
00:31:47gonna last a month Wow yeah I did I said it's it's a month it's done it could
00:31:53have been a rap album of some kind to like did you guys do mr. morale yes yeah
00:31:57yeah it might have been like mr. morale yeah like that but and then I just like
00:32:02I was like this is great and then it's gotten this deep dive and I just love
00:32:04watching it yeah it's just so fun cuz I was just curious like you know about you
00:32:10watching us react to your own album I feel like that's such a such an odd
00:32:15thing you know it's real but like I don't know like yeah explain that
00:32:20feeling like not just us I mean I think there's a couple other reactions out
00:32:24there I've seen people do it for model I don't know about the previous records
00:32:29but like is that something you seek out you want to like see what how people
00:32:33feel I've never seeked it out before like I think I really watch your guys
00:32:39videos all the time and so I was like I was always watching like I'm so cool
00:32:43one day they I want to watch them react to Wallace I want to I want to watch
00:32:47you show Kevin Wallace and and then one day I just like I think I was like I
00:32:52could just DM and be like have you guys listen to Wallace I was like let me just
00:32:59try and then I was like awesome but no I it was really I mean I love watching
00:33:08reactions to things so like watching you I like watching any reaction I can to
00:33:14people listening to our music because I just love reaction yeah so no me too so
00:33:18what you guys like do a 30-minute video of reacting the model was I'll get that
00:33:22hold on we can take that up and post oh that was the dog out the window those
00:33:34Australian doodles yeah sorry you're saying no I think I think we were all
00:33:39like there was some really exciting moments where we were in the car I think
00:33:42it was you it you had said some really like high praise things were like wow
00:33:45it's crazy I think it's that something you were like I feel like I'm we're
00:33:51lucky that there's music like this being made now or so yeah no that's such a
00:33:55crazy compliment yeah actually like when I watch you react to so many albums I
00:34:00love I'm like that's crazy you just said that about our album that's really it's
00:34:03really cool it feels like it's a really validating thing to watch you guys
00:34:05react to our album honestly you know that's I really meant that from my heart
00:34:09because like I grew up an 80s guy right I grew up with 80s production I love
00:34:13there's so many 80s bands and I'm not saying you guys are 80s but just the the
00:34:19way you guys worked all together having different vocalists there's I and I
00:34:24don't know the track Cole I was listening to it this morning you're the
00:34:28drum you're you're you're beat on that kit was unreal I'll have to let go back
00:34:34I wouldn't mind which probably would have been yeah yeah I remember you guys
00:34:41were like this beat is crazy yeah and I'm like it's just so cool to hear and
00:34:46you guys were and that then I died I dove deeper into you guys are looking
00:34:49like in the studio and stuff like that and the way you know your little
00:34:52Instagram posts where you yeah where you were you testing out things you're doing
00:34:55this and you checked out this run this I love that thing because I was in a
00:35:00band of many bands over the years and it's that it's that thing that happens
00:35:04between you know everybody right which is the magic which and which you guys
00:35:08are doing now which is like it's super cool right so I will not cry tonight at
00:35:14the show I think I get very emotional at shows it really I very I really get
00:35:19crazy like we cried at Danny but both of us cried at Danny Brown yeah oh my god I
00:35:24hope you I hope to make you shed a tear tonight yeah yeah that's new goal I am I
00:35:28feel like what it also is is we geek out over like music stuff all the time and I
00:35:33like have like I love getting excited by things and listen to them and like
00:35:36showing them to the guys are just so cool we've always been that way so I
00:35:39think like that's why I like reaction videos a lot and so watching you guys do
00:35:45that to our music and you guys having like excited reaction even if I'm
00:35:48watching you just kind of like because I noticed sometimes like when you're into
00:35:51something you'll kind of like chuckle or smirk and like I noticed that and you
00:35:53were doing that some of our moments I was like he likes this yeah yeah like
00:35:56that's how I am I listen to something like that really affects me I kind of
00:36:00loves it so good I have to like laugh and so it's just it's really cool to see
00:36:06that translate for other people because that's how I am when I listen to music
00:36:08too and yeah to give that reaction to people is he's crazy and I feel like I
00:36:14if I could have like everyone react like film their reactions to our music I'd
00:36:18probably watch all of it it's just fun to see even if it's like negative I'm
00:36:21like I love to watch yeah I don't know I was like kind of to keep like the
00:36:25finger on the pulse of things what people like and yeah I will that kind of
00:36:28leads me to what I wanted to ask as well was for all three of you guys what's
00:36:34your album of the year so far model what's your what's your second favorite
00:36:42album of the year other than model great question I'm trying to think of like
00:36:46there's I feel like there's been so much music have you been like following up
00:36:49with or like you know trying to stay up to date with new stuff I usually am
00:36:53pretty on top of it and this year has like just gotten away from me I feel
00:36:58like there is a lot this year of good so much yeah yeah I mean I finally listened
00:37:03to brat and I'm like oh man it's just great it's great so it's really genuinely
00:37:07great that is up there I think I don't know I mean I don't want to take your
00:37:11answer brain but it might be similar answer but I well I do think one that
00:37:15still stands really high for me just as really impressive and that I love and is
00:37:19addicting is only God was above us vampire weekend like I really did you
00:37:23see our poster when you walked in but I did watch you guys reaction to that one
00:37:29yeah that was oh oh yeah mine is only God was above us yeah yeah I feel that
00:37:34was mine as well there are others Brad is up there I do love that yard act
00:37:38album a lot yeah I'm out this year nominal yeah it's really great I have to
00:37:42look at my list I have a crazy way that I like keep track of albums what's that
00:37:47way this is how I keep track of this so like whenever I see an album
00:37:53announcement I'll like my notes are crazy I'll write them down like the
00:37:59artist and then dash like release dates I know when they're coming out and then
00:38:02I make sure I listen to all them and or check them out at least and I'll color
00:38:07put a color dot next to them based on if I like didn't like it sort of liked it
00:38:12or like really liked it a little bit mm-hmm red signifies didn't really like
00:38:17this yellow it's like it's fine probably listen to it again purple is
00:38:21like I really like this and so I like keep track oh yeah like all these and
00:38:27does I keep track of things this is not from just this year is it this is from
00:38:31just this year so I've all these ones coming out I haven't heard yet like you
00:38:34know let's see what's the next this next Friday is September I can't say I can't
00:38:39figure out when the garbage guys show up
00:38:43no this next Friday is August what day is it August so it's August 16th August
00:38:489th so we got King Gizzard coming up oh it's like this 75th album rest yeah I'm
00:38:57really excited for Sabrina Carpenter August oh yeah can't wait spirit of the
00:39:00beehive August 23rd have you guys heard spirit of the beehive no really cool
00:39:04band I think you guys like love your cover of Sabrina I watched that last oh
00:39:07let's go 225 yeah that was sweet I check that out too it was awesome I was up
00:39:12all night that's awesome watching lots of stuff right she um we got her
00:39:17approval she like oh did really yeah I did so fantastic you would you mind
00:39:22sending me a screenshot of some of those albums I feel like I'm like yeah falling
00:39:27behind on you know new releases like people send us stuff all the time but
00:39:32they're also sending us stuff from like previous years because they're like oh
00:39:35you got to listen to this album because you know so many albums coming out every
00:39:39year yeah so trying to keep up to date you know like for me well actually you
00:39:44go first what's your album of the year right now oh man you know what I have to
00:39:48say what I've been listening to the most in the last while painting and doing
00:39:52stuff I've listened to Chapel Rowan oh yeah that's my idea though that's last
00:39:57year oh it's last year but it feels like it's so good yeah no I've listened to it
00:40:02I think it's it's it's pop writing Dan just did amazing job on that album I
00:40:07mean it's hooky but it's also it's super hooky but it's also the nuances
00:40:12that make it different in certain phrasing of vocals that make it not so
00:40:18like a structured complete pop song you know I mean like there's different
00:40:22nuances in there and the way they pull down on certain things and it's it's a
00:40:26special album so I'm just that's for me because it's new we just listen it's an
00:40:30honorary 2024 really yes yeah it's really exciting that's how I feel about
00:40:34like Sabrina right now as well like totally different yeah I liked her her
00:40:37you know first record emails I shouldn't send yeah and I'm so glad that she's
00:40:43getting like some recognition with this new role with the with espresso really
00:40:48kind of blew up and then the second single is phenomenal as well like I
00:40:53thought it was a great pop song then please please please came I was like
00:40:56this is my favorite song yeah now I can't wait like I'm really I'm always a
00:41:01sucker for if if to me like a perfect pop album like a major event pop album
00:41:07can come out and it can be like a 10 out of 10 to me that's like I'm a sucker
00:41:11for an amazing pop out and like I feel like the last one that really hooked me
00:41:16like was sweetener by Ariana Grande in 2019 oh yeah 2018 or 2019 that album
00:41:22like I remember being this is incredible like I've been waiting since then to
00:41:25have like another just like major event pop album to come out yeah like it's
00:41:29perfect and I love slim pickins a new demo or not demo acoustic performance
00:41:33yeah I heard that yeah so good really it's amazing
00:41:38like I teased it like oh wow Jack Antonoff and like there was already like
00:41:42some one-liners I was like this is I love it it's really cool yeah I noticed
00:41:46a couple of fellow his name I searched him up but he's he's he's got credits on
00:41:51a couple of your songs there he's a songwriter he's done a lot of stuff he
00:41:54actually did something with juice world on one of the tracks it's a Blake
00:41:59Sakin I think so yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah he's a great friend of ours oh
00:42:05really yeah we have other songs we've started with him that we never really
00:42:08quite finished but like calling after me is one that we started with him yeah and
00:42:14yeah he's definitely like he's he's kind of high up there I'm like the pop like
00:42:19scene now with like a lot of artists so I as a writer myself like I've always
00:42:24like I always want to have that that co-writer right that person because I
00:42:28always so I horrible with self-doubt right oh my god that sucks but having
00:42:33someone else with the three you guys writing what does that other person the
00:42:37fourth person the fourth person bring what do they bring like a little bit of
00:42:40just a different structure like you know what do they bring to them to the table
00:42:44really depends that's a good question I mean up until tell me that it's over I
00:42:50think we had basically no co-writers except for Remy Wolfe on these days and
00:42:54and Julian as well as on these days and then Clara on are you bored yet yeah but
00:43:00other than that we just wrote all those songs together and we still write songs
00:43:03just by ourselves but usually the co-writer thing happens when we have a
00:43:09day set to go try to to make a song in like a studio or something okay yeah so
00:43:14I mean I think the most the most like what's the word like the songwriting
00:43:22kind of partnership that blossomed the most between another person was Nate
00:43:25Mercereau we get along so well with him he's like a modern-day wizard of music
00:43:30and yeah he just brings more interesting chord structures that maybe we've never
00:43:38really tried to use before it'll kind of weave these amazing ideas and
00:43:42arrangements into the songs we bring to the table because I'm kind of like it's
00:43:46kind of a weird thing but I I don't I would never want to like work on a song
00:43:50we didn't start ourselves so like we've been to songwriting things where like
00:43:54there's like a producer guy that's like hey I have this beat or this idea if you
00:43:57want to work off it and I'm just like I just it doesn't seem we need to start we
00:44:02need to start so usually we'll start something and then we just kind of
00:44:06progress that with the other person that's usually where they oh that's okay
00:44:09and that's usually only yeah when we have like oh we're going in with Nate to
00:44:12try to record something from scratch like we're gonna make something up that's
00:44:16usually where that happens but then other than that we're just like Cole's
00:44:18place writing writing songs you just reminded me by mentioning her name
00:44:23Clara's new album that's definitely up there for me I don't know if you guys
00:44:28you probably listen to it I'm so good yeah it's great yeah I think it's really
00:44:32good it's it's been like the top five for me of this year I didn't say mine
00:44:36yet which oh yeah what's yours oh yeah what's yours I might it's the obvious
00:44:41answer but it's got to be brat I just I yeah yeah he's been a Charlie fan since
00:44:45he was like eight no I've been following Charlie's career since 2018 maybe same
00:44:57yeah around that time so like like before her self-titled record I was
00:45:03following her you know when she was doing the mixtapes and stuff so just to
00:45:08see where she is now like makes me so happy and how much praise the record is
00:45:12getting amazing yeah it's like if anyone deserves like this amount of attention
00:45:17this late in her career it's her like she's been doing she's been so great for
00:45:20so long so I'm like rooting for her mainstream success yeah and it's it's
00:45:24really awesome and I always like for in terms of brat like I have that piano
00:45:29outro of mean girls like stuck in my head oh yeah my favorite part of the
00:45:32album yeah dude it's so good yeah no there's some Charlie on our pre-show
00:45:37playlist oh do you oh yeah oh sweet would do can you spoil which we got
00:45:41club classics we got mean girls and oh there's another huh no fuck what else I
00:45:50put on there there's another one in there there's another one well what was
00:45:55girl so confusing with Lord oh it's got it's got to be the remix yeah it's one
00:46:00of my favorite songs of the years you know I love it it's so Connor I think I
00:46:04shit the bed cuz I listened to it before like no no we listened to it we
00:46:08listen to it together but we like when we listen to it on the album right we
00:46:11listen to the original on the album but then we did the we listen to the remix
00:46:15yeah together yeah but that was like wow that was something else so it's it's
00:46:19amazing it was it was crazy cuz I had my first introduction to Lord like how long
00:46:24like two weeks before that three weeks no we we did that to test the audio
00:46:31that's right to film melodrama reaction yes that's right yeah yeah put up on
00:46:36YouTube yet I've been behind on editing yeah we did a melodrama reaction amazing
00:46:41record but from Lord and yeah we tested the audio to make sure the levels were
00:46:47good with that one and it kind of gave you an introduction to Lord before we
00:46:52jumped into the yeah that was a fantastic um I tell you I just just like
00:46:56what can cut this out or whatever but I have absolutely been blessed that he
00:47:00brought me back to the love of music because I was in the corporate world I
00:47:05could care less and we walked around the lake and he goes why aren't you picking
00:47:09up your guitar why aren't you playing your drums I had a Gresh kit sitting in
00:47:12a pile and I just was like after that it's like I literally love music and I
00:47:18feel now that I'm on the pulse of like I'm not my age I feel so up to date I'm
00:47:24up to date you know I mean that which is I think if you lose that you're not
00:47:28listening to new music and you really do stick into the 70s and the 80s and you
00:47:32go everything else is garbage it's it's a bad place to be you got to keep you
00:47:37keep going after 30 when you have children and your life changes and you
00:47:41got the mortgage and stuff like that it's easy to fall off stop cat it really
00:47:45is you just start you're too busy just to listen to new music but when you you
00:47:49know he asked me to say you know check this out like it's really you know yeah
00:47:53thank you again yeah it's and it's odd to like seeing like he'll like pull up
00:47:58to the house and he'll be like listening to like future dirty sprite too I got
00:48:12this old Honda pilot at Safeway and listen to rich sex I'm like I got the
00:48:17windows open like I got a window so I want to be like I'm like when I'm your
00:48:25age that's how I want to be like I I I have sort of a pee when people like
00:48:30there's no good music anymore I'm like oh you're so there's so much you know
00:48:34what I find there's too much there's two there's a lot there's a there is like
00:48:37people I'll go on and there'll be messages of people sending albums and
00:48:41I'll listen I'll be like international stuff to international stuff they'll
00:48:44send something it'll be like there's 1,500 followers how you know how good
00:48:48could this be you know I mean like or whatever you hit it you go fuck it's
00:48:51killer yeah like it's it's fantastic so much good stuff there's so much good
00:48:55stuff out there yeah I don't want to be like I don't want to be like 30 years
00:48:58from now really no there's nothing better than Brad yeah to what's out
00:49:05there yeah I just wanted to talk a little Beatles with you guys go okay
00:49:11that's right yeah well cuz I was talking to Dylan through Instagram and I think
00:49:17you told me that you're were you on a plane or on a bus and you're I love it
00:49:28oh well thank you it's an honor and you were rearranging the white album
00:49:34that's a regular thing that you I like to read like sometimes I'll talk to it
00:49:39like I've done this for years but I'm like imagine though if this were like
00:49:41this and I just like we'd come up with like a different like we've I remember
00:49:45one time Braden and I also made like a John white album and a Paul white album
00:49:49or something like yeah yeah which one's better kind of thing yeah I don't even
00:49:55know if I let you finish the question really but well it wasn't a question I
00:49:58just wanted to kind of just jump on that subject because I do the same thing
00:50:02especially with the white album this is definitely a hot take but the white
00:50:07album is my favorite Beatles record Sam we all kind of agree on oh maybe it's
00:50:12not it's not a hot take in this room yes but outside of here it's definitely a
00:50:17it's a hot take but sorry you can't talk no I just said sergeant peppers for me
00:50:22so you guys I only just recently decided like made the decision that that was my
00:50:28favorite Beatles album like I only I was listening to reason I was like there's
00:50:31nothing nothing cooler and more impressive than this from this time
00:50:35period to me like this is insane and I just love how fucking wacky it is and
00:50:40how all over the place it is so when you were saying I was like you know moving
00:50:45stuff around and making my own white album I was like yeah I do that all the
00:50:48time I sometimes I was like you know I'll be thinking like oh man imagine if
00:50:53they added revolution instead of revolution one and you know put hey Jude
00:50:59instead of because I believe that was the other the other single single yeah
00:51:04instead of you know revolution 9 I think we're having this conversation because
00:51:11we were in London for like model promo and we were like we were at no we
00:51:15weren't at Abbey Road we passed it or something yeah a couple years ago yeah
00:51:20but um we didn't record there you just got like a tour awesome but um we were
00:51:25just talking about it and then I were on the plane to New York from London and I
00:51:29would just had it in my brain I was sitting right next to Cole and I think I sent you
00:51:32what the yeah playlist was like listen to this it rips it rips but I think I
00:51:37sort of wanted to go from the approach of like what would like a modern cynical
00:51:43approach to the white album be like like in the streaming era yeah like if
00:51:47someone made in 2024 and they were too they were they weren't like bold enough
00:51:51to put like like piggies on it or something right like let's just say like
00:51:58it just like you know the corkier moments of that album like what would it
00:52:01be like if you stripped all those away like 12 tracks or something yeah it
00:52:04ended up being like 17 which is like yeah so many good songs on it yeah I
00:52:08added revolution and hey Jude I was like wow this album is incredible as well so
00:52:14there's not really a wrong way you can do the white album because I was like I
00:52:17feel like if 2024 a band came out with this for like more cynical listeners and
00:52:22like a you know not as patient of people and you like turned it down to like just
00:52:25the the heaters mm-hmm it's pretty insane did you keep back in the USSR as
00:52:31the intro no no really I was really hard on it I'd put revolution as the intro
00:52:36like imagine oh shit that was the first track I put and I did that in a dear
00:52:41prudence whoa no I think that's fantastic I love back in the USSR but I
00:52:47feel like it's very kind of like surfy like bluesy you know and I'm like what
00:52:50like I was trying to think of it from like modern so did you take it off the
00:52:54album I took it off love I'm not saying this is better it's not better this is
00:52:58like it was just for fun I know all right no we're gonna end this here there
00:53:05yeah that one was just for fun I took it off also took out birthday yeah that's
00:53:11took off some of the ones that could just like the ones that maybe lean a
00:53:15little like sillier a little more like the time period to be fair yeah I'm I'm
00:53:21a huge fan of back in the USSR just because it's so it's so goofy and like
00:53:26I love it's like a almost a parody it's incredible but yeah I get what you mean
00:53:30in terms of like yeah it wouldn't it's yeah it's a little goofy it wouldn't fit
00:53:35revolution would probably be a good good intro there yeah it was like and I don't
00:53:40need hey Jude on the white album but like if it wasn't there it's like damn
00:53:43this album is goes crazy yeah yeah yeah I can um and then I like hate you but
00:53:52second-to-last and then I had like I was like what would be cool to end after hey
00:53:55Jude and I just put I will it's the last song oh that's me that's a beautiful way
00:53:58I mean yeah it's cool that's awesome yeah I said it that's cool like I know
00:54:03there's no back in the SSR but it does rip I'm gonna ask you guys what are some
00:54:06must-haves on the road while you guys are touring hmm for me shower shoes like
00:54:13slides because they're all like these are all nice clean venues are playing
00:54:18but like I've never stepped barefoot onto a shower Florida venue for some
00:54:22reason I'm just like some venue showers you're like like this is crazy this has
00:54:27never been clean and Motley Crue played here so yeah so for me it's like I gotta
00:54:34have my shower shoes I'm just weird about it I don't some of the I you can't
00:54:39unsee some of the venue showers you've seen oh it'll ruin your whole day to go
00:54:42raw with the steppers in the night oh man what do we do I feel like we play a
00:54:52lot of a lot of various games on tour like tennis is something you need true
00:54:58yeah we play tennis so we fly with a tennis bag tennis court yeah we need a
00:55:03tennis court in the bay but yeah we play tennis we played yesterday we did
00:55:09yes one in Portland we played yesterday so that's fun and we play Catan do you
00:55:15know Catan I do yeah like when we we did this radio tour thing with it was just
00:55:22the three of us and then our tour manager Gabe and we kept tally of every
00:55:27game like a win-loss record and then like a total points scored yeah it's
00:55:32like full-on like Catan Fantasyland yeah so yeah and for me I haven't yet
00:55:41but I think a tour necessity will be my golf clubs so I'm bringing my golf clubs
00:55:45they're not here yet but I'm gonna be getting them in Vegas and like there and
00:55:48I think that's gonna be a necessity because I love like going to the driving
00:55:52range or something just playing some golf to relax cold brew as well cold
00:55:57brew bottled cold oh I love cold yeah same we have a cold plunge on this tour
00:56:02and we have a cold plunge yes I saw a picture it was a you that posted it yeah
00:56:06yeah so you guys bring that with you like we do now first time with the
00:56:10yeah that's the first store we got a night because I love like Wim Hof do you
00:56:13know Wim Hof the ice man dude I love the Wim Hof breathing and I love the cold
00:56:17plunge I have a cold plunge of my my parents house yeah there's a cold plunge
00:56:21there and it's awesome no I'm looking for one and I found out that I could get
00:56:25a horse trough for like 200 bucks right and put it in the yard it's galvanized
00:56:31where they drink out of it and just fill it up yeah just fill it up throw my ice
00:56:35in and sit down there and yeah that's awesome and then we can get a horse too
00:56:39and then like have a drink from it while you're in it you want to grab some so we
00:56:46have a game that we play it's not really a game it's it's it's it's not really a
00:56:52game because I don't have the whole bag yeah but this is I called with Danny
00:56:59Brown was called grab my bag right and then we stuck with it okay but it's not
00:57:03I don't have a bag we don't even have a bag today so we're still gonna call it
00:57:06grab my bag okay okay excited for this game Wow it's not really a game it's
00:57:12literally just hands you something but cool grab my Dom yeah that's Dom Dom
00:57:19hey Dom it's gonna be like what do you say you should start with the oh yes I
00:57:40love the color I love some orange this is so nice already this is beautiful
00:57:46yeah Wow oh this is so nice okay we'll start with these thanks guys okay can I
00:57:54say to start real quick that look this looks like these are gifts of some kind
00:57:58so they are yes we actually today we're looking all over we wanted to bring you
00:58:04an egg shaker because we you reacted a lot to percussion moments yeah you're
00:58:08talking about an egg shaker we're like we got to bring him an egg yeah we might
00:58:12yeah yeah TBD I wanted to gift you an egg shaker yeah so yes yeah yeah so what
00:58:21we have or no you you can okay okay so this is a Vancouver product you guys are
00:58:26on tour for a while and it's a Roma therapy we're not sponsored no no no
00:58:32this is something I thought would be really cool Connor and I was like you
00:58:35guys are on tour for a while it's Roma therapy there's there's everything in
00:58:39there you need just to roll on if you're sick if you need some energy if you need
00:58:42digestive health or anything like that's what you take a look at those
00:58:45Wow Vancouver based called sage I've seen this brand yeah yeah look in there
00:58:53there's a little love oh my god so you open that up and you can I'm not sure
00:58:58where you roll them I roll them on my genitals but my wife gets mad you didn't
00:59:04roll these ones though no no no no oh this is amazing I love aroma therapy
00:59:10so nice this is this is a little yeah yeah Wow thank you the mixture of the
00:59:18aroma therapy and leather smells like my grandparents pantry back in Ohio even
00:59:25just this little this little case has a good smell yeah it's really really good
00:59:28Oh pain this is really gonna be very helpful no and they you know you can
00:59:32bring those right through Connor with your I don't travel very much yeah so we
00:59:35talked to the people at sage they said that you don't have to put it in your
00:59:39liquids bag because it counts as medication I believe so you can just
00:59:44keep it in your amazing if you're that is so nice so totally so cool Wow
00:59:50peppermint oh this is awesome guys thank you so much absolutely yeah European
00:59:58dates to you guys are going all over the place through Europe so yeah tonight
01:00:02before bed for sure our boss is gonna smell so it's gonna smell amazing for
01:00:06once Wow so these here I know you guys are gonna be on tour for a bit so I
01:00:13thought you guys should have some type of entertainment or just something to do
01:00:19on the bus so this is some reading stuff and then we'll get into this and this is
01:00:24amazing but funny story this one here the big one at the bottom was actually I
01:00:33found it with the help of legendary man from Vancouver
01:00:39narwhal you guys so I was looking for something for you guys at a records shop
01:00:46and narwhal came up to me and he's like oh yeah you know I you're from the show
01:00:52with your dad and I'm like yeah you're not and so we chatted and I told him why
01:00:57I was there I was like oh I got wallows coming over we're looking for I'm
01:01:01looking for something I didn't you know I won't spoil it yet but he helped me
01:01:06look around the record store so that's amazing this one is from I can say it's
01:01:14not from narwhal but like curated brought to you inspired by narwhal but
01:01:22we go one each and then you guys can kind of share them so okay cool thank
01:01:29you thank you I love the way these like the sticker to you open one by one go
01:01:33for yeah I want to keep unwrapped because it's so nice yeah just never
01:01:37unwrap it yeah you never know what it is I love the little sticker so they are
01:01:43they are original and they are from I don't know which one you got oh you got
01:01:50the cream one yeah I think you didn't see the date and like the price at the
01:01:55top it's like a dollar or something like 75 cents or something this is so cool
01:02:00McCartney's over 127 million sold what years that from well yeah what 1976 Wow
01:02:07that's so cool this is so cool oh yeah stone where did you get these different
01:02:12record shops in Vancouver yeah awesome I was doing some some crate digging with
01:02:17narwhal hell yeah that's so cool the fact you mentioned Wallace and our bar
01:02:22is awesome yeah yeah yeah he was familiar with you guys really yeah no I
01:02:26said do you know the band Wallace he's like oh yeah yeah no I know them so
01:02:29sold so awesome yeah
01:02:39all right cool let's see wow this is thank you guys so much this is so cool
01:02:46just some reading material when you're on the the boss it otherwise just sit
01:02:51and stare at nothing oh damn the goat Wow so that's what I think the Bangladesh
01:02:59show he looks so cool man these are so cool 71 yeah I think that's the oldest
01:03:05one we have on that these are these are Wow dude awesome this is really insane
01:03:11yeah Wow I'm excited to crack this open later a little coffee table books on the
01:03:16bus that's crazy ah so it's let me open this for this finale here yeah so this
01:03:23is the narwhal one that they helped with
01:03:31oh shit Wow I think this is it I think this is 80 something no way that's this
01:03:38an original one it is an original one yeah what Wow
01:03:42holy shit how did you say what hey that's a free narwhal he's got special
01:03:46powers man that's actually yeah January 22nd 1981 this is iconic an original you
01:03:53can tell look how faded it is and stuff yeah my and it's kind of ripped on the
01:03:56bottom Wow man this is really insane wait dude
01:04:00did I see that no no it looks like a line or a poem of some time you may say
01:04:09I'm a dreamer I'm not the only one yet imagine well this was after this is
01:04:13after it's passing yeah that is quite the gift man thank you so much that's
01:04:17really really cool to him just casual coffee table reading on the bus and then
01:04:25these are I picked them up from a record store you guys can all open one
01:04:30and there's someone coming up yeah yeah here Braden you get you get yeah I just
01:04:34recently started smoking so I picked up marbles I'm assuming these have to do
01:04:43with the Ringo because I'm kidding no yeah so the thing is is yeah there was
01:04:48nothing Ringo related anywhere I couldn't find anything Ringo related so
01:04:54these Ringo is related to one of these these are playing cards but they're
01:05:04legit these are awesome but each card is is a beetle and the cards we looked at
01:05:10it like pictures of them the actual cards instead of like a king and a queen
01:05:15it's like George Ringo I'm gonna test you guys what color did you get what
01:05:21member I know oh do you know uh yeah I do I do you know I have what do you got
01:05:30I think pink is Paul right no no is this John no no that's that's Paul I got
01:05:41George that's Ringo and then green is Lennon is this is this green Wow
01:05:47damn I that's embarrassing Wow this is really really cool Wow so cool such a
01:05:53great gifts dude yeah just I'm really just some it's all tour stuff you know
