Wild Turkey spent winter 1971/1972 touring State and England as support to Black Sabbath but at the end of the tour Jon Blackmore quit the band and was replaced with guitarist Mick Dyche who was joined by keyboardist Steve Gurl. The band's second album "Turkey" was handled directly by Glenn Cormick with the technical support of Robin Black. There was also a change in the group's sound, simpler and more immediate, and more close to folkish-prog rock, the formula with two guitarists became a charaterstic of Wild Turkey. THe group recorded some demos but never recorded a third album.
