00:00from that postseason race, trying to earn a play in tournament spot or better your positioning
00:05within those playoff standings in either conference. That is certainly the story tonight at Altitude
00:12the Nuggets, a seven and a half point home favorite against Donnie's Western Conference
00:16team, the Phoenix Suns. The over understands now at 238. DRS, Phoenix needs to steal a few
00:25down the stretch if they are even going to flirt with a play in tournament spot. But with Dallas
00:30stumbling, of course, because of the injury stacking up for the Mavs, Phoenix is only two
00:35and a half games behind those Mavericks for the 10 spot in the Western Conference, the fourth and
00:41final in the play in tournament. Can't Phoenix make this interesting tonight at Altitude?
00:48Such a tough game to handicap. And again, as we pointed out, so many of these are going to be
00:52down the stretch because you're trying to buy into not the X's and O's, like who's the
00:57better basketball. Of course, it's the Nuggets. Just look at the actual home court advantage that
01:00they have tonight in elevation and also the records for the team. But understand this,
01:05did something switch over for the Phoenix Suns? I'm not even saying they're a good basketball team
01:08or Bradley Beals should be relegated to the bench and not playing just like KD Spinn because he's
01:13only there for a couple more games technically before he's going to get traded this summer.
01:17But from a standpoint of it was going to be, we don't have any chance to even get into the play
01:22in round to now Dallas is in a complete spiral and free fall and nobody wants to actually play
01:28behind the Suns, which means there are some bottom blows like, hey, that ain't our spot.
01:32You go ahead and take it. So do they rise to the occasion, say we're going to play better basketball
01:36down the stretch. So at least we can say, hey, man, we fought hard the rest of the way we got
01:41it to the playing tournament. Who knows how it's going to work out in the end and probably won't
01:44work out better. But doesn't this feel like it is going to be one of those measuring stick games for
01:48the Suns? Like to me, I want to believe that the Phoenix Suns are going to give their best
01:52effort tonight, which means a legitimate chance to win. But if not losing by less than 10 points
01:57would put you around the point spread. But it's also one of those games for me, Ben, that I say
02:00to myself, if I take the Suns and this is 131 to 99 because it was fool's gold for the Suns for a
02:07one night comeback party against an injured, let's just say Clippers team at that point.
02:11I don't know what to anticipate. So for me, I'm still going to keep it with the Nuggets.
02:16They're home. They're better. They should win. So if they should win, I don't know if I go,
02:20I think they only win by three or four points at this point. I'll take the Nuggets,
02:23but it's such an interesting handicap from what am I actually getting from the Phoenix Suns?
