00:00The National Food Authority recently announced that our farmers deserve to increase the buying price of rice.
00:08According to NFA Administrator Larry Lackson, this week, their purchase of fresh rice increased from P5 per kilo to P24 per kilo, from P20 to P22 per kilo.
00:26Because of this, the official encouraged our farmers to use the hot weather to dry their rice for a higher income and to help to meet the high demand.
00:38This was signed by Agriculture Spokesperson Assistant Secretary Arnel De Mesa.
00:44They increased their buying price of dry and clean to P24 and their fresh to P18.
00:53The current buying that we monitored is between P20 to P22, the dry and clean.
00:59Since NFA increased the price, the price of dry and clean rice is getting better.
