00:00There are four good games tonight out of the five in the NHL, as far as I'm concerned, the
00:06Caps, Rangers at the Garden on TNT at 730. The nightcap is Toronto, Vegas and Sin City
00:11on TNT. And then you got, I think, a good game in your town, Ducks and Canucks.
00:16And that St. Louis, LA game, you were talking about him the other day.
00:20We were, I was with Denny Bernstein, rather. He talked about the Blues,
00:24that they got this LA swing and if they could win these games in LA, that
00:28they'd be in a really nice spot. Who do you like tonight?
00:32The St. Louis Blues post-Four Nations face-off, they got a bump.
00:38They got, I can't help but think of that SNL a bit the other night with the
00:44little bump skit that they did with Shane Gillis. But they got a bump, man, from Bennington coming
00:51back from the Four Nations, right? I don't know if they can sustain it, but the Blues have played
00:56themselves into the wildcard conversation right now. And the Flames have been overachieving all
01:01year. Big win for them last night. And the Canucks have been underachieving all year.
01:06And now suddenly, you know, they got the St. Louis Blues right in the mix. So we got basically a
01:12three-team battle. There's still a lot of hockey left, but that's sort of how it's playing out
01:16right now with the Blues, the Flames and the Canucks battling for the last wildcard spot.
01:22So big games tonight. Let's start off on the East Coast here, Scott, at MSG. Back-to-back
01:27shoutouts for the Blues shirts. We got a total of six on the board right now. You know, there's so
01:34much talk about the Capitals and Ovechkin all the time, but you know, a lot of their games do go
01:39under the number, all right? Like the Capitals, this is why they're a good hockey team. They're
01:43not easy to score on, the Capitals. And Logan Thompson's playing elite hockey as well. You got
01:49a total of six, minus 110. I like the under, Scott. And listen, if you want to get that extra
01:54half puck, it's minus 150 on the alt line and under six and a half, but I'll take my chances.
01:59If it pushes at six, it pushes at six, but I'm going to go under the number. You got Toronto
02:03and Vegas. Toronto, Toronto were like five and one, like in the last six games. I know they're
02:10coming off a loss against San Jose. One thing with the Toronto Maple Leafs guys is they play
02:17up or down to the level of their competition. Like if you're going to, the time to bet against
02:22the Leafs, like I took the Sharks plus the goal and a half the other night, or plus two and a
02:26half, et cetera. The time to bet against the Leafs is when they're playing a bad team. They're at
02:30home and they're like a minus 400 favorite. They'll mail it in. Like they don't get up for it. They,
02:36they think, oh, we're going to win the game. They're not a great, you know, the home vibe
02:40in their arena isn't as electric as it is in other places for whatever reason. I know the reasons,
02:46but nevertheless, it's because of the price. It's the prices of the tickets and the people
02:53are so bummed out by the time they sit down and they have a beer and they're broke.
02:58I'm down 300 bucks, man. After the first period.
