00:00Welcome to the Daily Boost. I'm Lucy Burge of the BetMGM Network and I'm joined by Matt Horner and Amir Tyree and we have an SGP for all of you today from BetMGM.
00:13This is the Ranked Favorites Parlay. This is Wisconsin minus 6.5, Michigan minus 2.5, Texas Tech minus 17.5 all together plus 582 at BetMGM. What do you guys think of this boost?
00:28Yeah, it's very tough for me to say it's great because as we know in college basketball, Ranked Favorites going up against unranked teams, if the line is the way it is, usually not the greatest in the world.
00:43Michigan here, we'll take a look at that matchup first. Michigan minus 2.5. They're down to 1.5 in some spots. They're taking on 13th ranked Maryland. Maryland is the higher ranked team here, but Michigan is at home, so I think a lot of people will like Michigan being at home.
00:59They're still ranked 17th country. I know they're coming off a loss. Potential bounce back spot. This one isn't entirely crazy. I could see this one going either way. Then you take a look at some of the other matchups.
01:10Colorado and Texas Tech, that spread is like, I probably wouldn't bet either side of that one. It's huge. It's 17.5. It probably should be. Colorado is an awful basketball team.
01:23Texas Tech is fantastic. Ranked No. 9 in the country, 22-7. The spread is huge and it should be huge. There's not much I really see there. Then Wisconsin and Minnesota. Here's the one where you might be a little scared. Minnesota is 15-14. They're average. They're not really a great team.
01:40Taking on Wisconsin, one of the highest ranked Ken Palm teams in the Big 10. They're ranked 12th in the country, 22-7. The spread seems a little bit short at 6.5 here. I know they're on the road, but I think a lot of people may still take them at 6.5 against a Minnesota team that's just not very good, even though they're on the road.
01:59I'd be cautious, certainly. Anytime you're taking all ranked favorites, it's a very scary thing to do. But if you're somebody who likes ranked favorites, if that's the way you play them, sure. Why not? Maybe a little bit of a sprinkle.
02:17Are you frozen?
02:18No, I'm not here.
02:23What do you think of it?
02:25Yeah, I think some of the sentiment. I think the main one that necessarily worries me. I typically wouldn't bet a spread as big as 17.5, but I think the main worry for me would be that Maryland-Michigan game. I have watched Maryland here and there, just the physicality.
02:42Especially with King. Especially with their post play. I think that one could go either way. Especially when Danny Wolfe gets so enamored with shooting those long shots and forgetting he's 7 foot and 250 pounds. I think that one can get a little bit scary, but aside from that, I think I could see the other ones definitely going. For me, I typically wouldn't bet a spread that large.

03:30Our favorite bets for today. I'm going to the NBA and I'm taking the Celtics to cover minus 10 and a half against the Trailblazers. The Celtics are falling more and more behind in the East and they are now eight games behind the Cavs. So they need a win and they need a big win and they need to wake up a little bit. Trailblazers have failed to cover in four of their last eight on the road and at home. The Celtics have covered in three of their last four. So I'm willing to take this bigger spread for the Celtics here. Minus 10 and a half against the Trailblazers.
03:59There you go. I'm going to go back to college basketball. This one is extraordinarily scary. I have to say it could go either way here. I'm going to say that it's fake sharp.
04:13Obviously, usually in this spot, you would take Ole Miss every single time. Ole Miss versus Tennessee tonight. Tennessee is number four in the country and they're taking on Ole Miss, a team that's lost three of their last four games. And the spread in this one, Tennessee, the fourth ranked team in the country coming off a huge win against Alabama is just a one and a half point favorite against Ole Miss, who's just lost three of their last four games.
04:38So clearly in this case, almost every time you would take Ole Miss because it's just a spot where they're primed for the upset just based off the line itself. But I think it could be fake sharp here. This could be a spot where they're just basically trying to bait people into taking Ole Miss because it's so terribly obvious that you should be taking Ole Miss.
04:58The team total for Ole Miss tonight is 67 and a half. That is very low. They just scored 87 points in their last game. They haven't gone under 67 and a half points in five straight games. And I think there's a reason why their team total is so incredibly low tonight. I think Tennessee's defense plays very well. It'll be if their offense can play well enough to get them a win here at a very, very small spread.
05:24So if you want to just take them on the money line, that's fine. If you want to take the minus one and a half as well. I'm just banking on this being a fake sharp spread. Very, very scary. Not for the faint of heart, but I'm rolling with it tonight.
05:37Actually, both the games you guys talked about were games that I kind of looked at coming into today. I was actually almost on the other side of the trailblazers game just before seeing and then I'm going back and looking at the hefty seven point win they had over the Nuggets. Maybe not have like the trailblazers lately, but maybe not in that spot.
05:57And then honestly, I was thinking about potentially I'm more on the Tennessee side and I was thinking about like an old line for Tennessee. If I get even a little bit more out of that, I was considering maybe we'll see if those numbers move at all today. But I am going to stay in the NBA and go with the Denver Nuggets minus five and a half.
06:16They're hosting the Sacramento Kings today, and I think my main angle with this one is just going to be the dominance in the disparity between centers as demand is a bonus is out at least a week with a hamstring injury.
06:29So just the thin back, thin front court rather than the Kings have is Jonas Valanciunas against Nikola Jokic. Definitely like that matchup. So and, you know, he's Nikola Jokic is questionable for this game because an ankle injury, but he's had three days to rest in the ankles he had against the Celtics.
06:47And as we know, aside from like the personal reasons he had earlier this season, he plays every single night. So I think that him coming back in is only going to make the number spread a little bit more. So I think getting a five and a half now is the best option.
