00:00A Chinese doctor who runs a mini-hospital in a condominium unit in Marangay Tambo, Paranaque City, was arrested by the police.
00:15Aside from the illegal hospital, the suspect, Dr. Lee, also sold drugs that were not registered in the Food and Drug Administration.
00:23His assistant was also arrested in the operation.
00:27Some hospital beds, medicines and other equipment were found in the unit for the critical operations.
00:33Two patients were also treated there.
00:37They were transferred to a legitimate hospital.
00:40The doctor and his assistant faced allegations of violation of the FDA Act of 2009 and Medical Act of 1959.
00:48They did not give an explanation.
00:49Authorities are looking for a possible connection between the illegal hospital and the POGO, especially the POGO workers who used to live in the unit.
00:59This is a condominium. We have seen this before as a house of POGO workers or a link to POGO personalities.
