Transcript
00:00We went by roughly 11,000, about 450 kilos of filling for Cannoli, which congratulations
00:07to Sebastian, he's the winner, but you wouldn't have passed the record.
00:11So last year I was standing in line for probably about three to four hours, kind of watching
00:16the competition go past, and I thought it would be light work to get through the first
00:19ten and then the last ten was going to be where it came down to business, but how wrong
00:23I was.
00:25So it was a real tough slog from probably eight onwards, a couple of moments there was
00:30a bit touch and go, I thought I was going to be thrown in the towel and having a bit
00:32of a vom, but I managed to pull through in the end.
00:36So what my strategy was is I love ricotta, so what I'll do is I'll get nine ricotta and
00:40get one custard to clear the palate, it was the worst decision I could have possibly made.
00:44So apparently that's an amateur mistake, you don't go ricotta, you go custard because it's
00:47the lightest one, and that's coming from Papa himself, so the strategy for anybody who wants
00:52to join, it's all custard all the way, and you'll get through it.
00:55The last five or ten minutes you seemed to be struggling quite heavily.
00:59I was just holding on for life, pretty much.
01:01At the end it wasn't really a battle of who was going to eat the most, it was who was
01:04not going to vomit and be disqualified, so just tried to sit there and hold on for dear
01:07life to be honest.
