00:00Sir, first of all tell us something about Agathiya, the title is quite unusual, so what is the one reason that made you do this film?
00:30Jeeva, you have been part of cult classics like 2 and N1, so how did Agathiya challenge you in that?
01:01I mean, Ko, Nanban, it's all my favourite films and I loved working in those films.
01:06And obviously Ko is a very political film and Nanban is the remake of 3 Idiots.
01:13And Agathiya has a lot of stunts and a lot of emotional scenes and a lot of mind bending scenes.
01:25So we really thought, especially the stunts were really tough.
01:30I am sure you would have seen it in the theatre.
01:32So we did some solid stunts where I get to jump and I get to throw and I get to fight, I get to fight the devil.
01:42So yeah, it was pretty challenging for me.
01:45As you told that there were stunts, so what about the physical transformation?
01:51No, I mean there was no physical transformation.
01:53I am an art director in the film and I have my love interest as an architect.
01:59So I think in the whole film we try to build a big set of a film.
02:07And then it turns out to be, you know, the producer doesn't kind of fund us.
02:13And then we turn out to be a scary house and we convert that into a business.
02:17That's the initial log line of the film.
02:21And then rest, it gets pretty interesting after the moment you go inside the house.
02:27The movie has a deep rooted storyline.
02:30So can you share a moment on set that left a lasting impact on you?
02:34I mean, like shooting in a big set like this, working with Arjun sir, working with Rashi.
02:39So we were really having solid fun in the sets and also it was pretty tiring.
02:45We were shooting night and day and there was one portion where Rashi was completely shooting left, right, center.
02:53Even she was so busy that we had to shoot for 24 hours.
02:58So there was non-stop and then I guess we all felt literally, literally tired.
03:05But then initially everything worked for the movie and we really had a nice time.
03:13Many pan-Indian films struggle at the box office despite grand promotions.
03:16So what makes Aditya different from those that didn't work?
03:22Many pan-Indian films struggle at the box office despite the grand promotions.
03:28So what makes Aditya different from those that didn't work?
03:42And I'm sure there will be a lot of support, especially from the kids because it has some mind-bending animation.
03:50Where it is all done by some like, you know, we've outsourced this whole animation to some 14 other countries.
03:57So predominantly Iran did a big, you know, played a big role.
04:02And it's also done by the same technicians which was partially worked with this film called Doctor Strange of a Hollywood film.
04:11So I'm sure the whole climax is a 15 to 16 minutes portion.
04:17In this 15 minutes portion, around 5 to 6 minutes is completely mind-bending animation.
04:22I'm sure, like you know, the kids would love it.
04:26And I'm sure when the kids love it, so obviously the family will also love it.
04:30Do you think that Southam industry is truly welcoming Bollywood actors or is it just a marketing strategy?
04:36No, no, it is, I guess it is more of, we've always had like, you know, Hindi actors.
04:43Like, you know, normally if you see South films, you have a lot of Hindi actors.
04:48Especially the heroines, you know, come down to South India.
04:52If you see Aishwarya Rai ma'am, so she, her first initial movies was Jeans.
04:57And I guess that was one of the super hit films.
05:01And South Indian films also welcome a lot of character artists and lot of villain roles.
05:08So this strategy has been there for the last 10 to 15 years.
05:12Especially now after this social media and the digital world, I guess it is just enhanced.
05:19With so many Pan Indian movies coming out, so do you think that the term is losing its charm?
05:49So if you see the view there, so I did a film called Ki.
05:54So in that film, I think by now it would have some 80 million views or something.
05:59So we were very surprised that our South Indian films are welcomed by Bollywood film watchers.
06:06And it's not only Bollywood film watchers, it's welcomed by all over India and also globally.
06:12So who speak Hindi, so like a beautiful flower, they are like spread out all over India.
06:18I mean all over the world.
06:20So we get to welcome, we are really welcomed for the content we make.
06:26So you have already worked in 83 sir, playing Krishi Kanth also.
06:30How was the experience working with Kabir sir?
06:33It was an amazing experience.
06:35Working with Kabir sir was one of my greatest things which happened in my career.
06:42And working with Ranveer was such a delight.
06:45Because he is such an actor where he gives so much of good space to his co-actors.
06:50And he is also one of the most challenging actor where he has taken up really amazing roles.
07:01Like Gully Boy and like Kheelji's role.
07:04So he is an inspiration to us and we so much look forward to see his movies.
07:11And also Kabir sir is one of the favourite directors of mine even before I acted in 83.
07:18So I really loved his Bajrangi Baijaan and his Kabul Express.
07:24And I really loved the way he directs and I really love the way he tells the story.
07:29And when I got a call from him, I was really delighted and I was really happy that I am being a part of one of the most important films in India.
07:38If there is a room where there is around 500 people who know about cricket, I am sure all the 500 people would have seen the film 83.
07:50And thanks to Kabir sir for giving me this beautiful role.
07:55So I am very thankful and I am very delighted.
08:00Was it tough to play Krish Shekhar's role?
08:02Yes sir, it is very tough to play Krish Shekhar's role.
08:07Because Shekhar sir is one hell of a cracker and he is like a solid ball.
08:21So it was really tough to play Shekhar's role because he is one ball of energy where it is so tough to match his energy.
08:30So to match his energy, I had to really drink a lot of coffee and to bring out that role.
08:36I really had an amazing time playing Shekhar's role.
08:44On 23rd there is India-Pakistan match of Champions Cup. What would you like to wish to the Indian team?
08:50So after this interview, I am just taking a flight and going to Dubai and I am really watching it live.
08:55So I am very very happy and I am very excited to see India-Pakistan match and obviously I would love India to win.
09:06If Agathiya had a Bollywood remake, who would you cast in your role?
09:13Shah Rukh Khan sir.
09:16Jeeva and Rashi had to switch roles in the movie. How would they play it?
09:20I mean if I had to play Rashi's role. So yeah, I mean it would be great. So I would be not hanging so much in the ropes.
09:31If you had to describe your co-stars in three words, what would they be?
09:36Awesome, fantabulous and amazing.
09:41Who is more likely to forget their lines, Jeeva or Rashi?
09:44Who forgets their lines? Jeeva, I would say Jeeva.
09:52If you could add one Bollywood style song in Agathiya, which composer would you want to create it?
09:57Preetam for the romantic song.
10:00Lastly, what one message you have to give to the audience?
10:04Please watch out for Agathiya. All the technicians and all the actors have worked really hard in this film.
10:09And we would love your support for this film and I am sure this would not disappoint you.
10:15So this is a wholesome family package. So when you come out of the theatres, I am sure it would be a memorable experience.
10:22So please do watch Agathiya in theatres.
