00:00Welcome back.
00:30Today, the Chief Justice met with the opposition of Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaab,
00:34a delegation of seven members.
00:37The Chief Justice shared an agenda with us during the National Judicial Policy Committee meeting.
00:43He asked for permissions.
00:45We convinced him.
00:46We would like to present those permits to you.
00:49Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaab's workers, supporters, especially Mr. Khan and his wife,
00:54are being affected by an unfair and discriminatory treatment.
00:58He convinced us that he would definitely take steps to find a solution to this problem.
01:06We also convinced the Chief Justice that the jail manual and the law are being violated.
01:15These are the things that are happening in your lower judiciary.
01:21This is very far from the law.
01:23The basic thing that we put in front of the Chief Justice was that the laws and regulations have been abolished in the country.
01:30If the Deputy Commissioner imposes Section 144, all your basic rights are considered a crime.
01:38And now it is the responsibility of the judiciary to issue such orders that violate the laws and regulations.
01:45Defence Minister Khawaja Asif says that during the British Army Chief's visit,
01:49the PTI is using foul language on social media.
01:52On the one hand, they are writing letters to each other.
01:54On the other hand, these proceedings are also going on.
01:56In their eyes, the country and institutions have no status.
01:59After losing power, the PTI is licking its wounds.
02:04Yesterday, a guard of honour was also given along with the protocol.
02:07We have an ideal relationship with the UK.
02:11On this occasion, the PTI used foul language.
02:15These people used to call the Army Chief a father at some time.
02:19Now they use foul language.
02:21The whole fight started at that time.
02:23They wanted to make Faiz as the Chief Justice.
02:26Imran Khan wanted to make the army a poisonous institution of the PTI.
02:31They failed in this.
02:32And since then, the PTI has been licking its wounds.
02:36On one hand, they are writing letters to each other.
02:39They are holding hands and begging.
02:42And on the other hand, these proceedings are going on.
02:44They are abusing each other.
02:46And Imran Khan is sitting in jail and writing letters to each other.
02:49The CMKP says that 99% of the demands have been accepted.
02:54This time will pass.
02:55Things are settling down.
02:57Their relevance will end with their country.
03:00God willing, their politics will be buried forever.
03:05Army Chief General Sayyed Asim Munir
03:07during his visit to the UK,
03:09observed the British Army's system and AI technology.
03:12General Asim Munir also visited the British Army's garrison field.
03:16ISPR says that Army Chief General Sayyed Asim Munir
03:18visited the British Army's garrison field
03:21at the invitation of the British Army's War Minister and Lockheed Garrison
03:24at the invitation of the British Army's War Minister and Lockheed Garrison
03:26Army Chief General Sayyed Asim Munir was given a briefing
03:29on the new plans of the British Army and the Deep Reckless Strike Brigade.
03:33Army Chief General Asim Munir also observed the British Army's
03:36system of artificial intelligence and non-action,
03:39as well as the demonstration of various sub-technologies.
03:46Tehreek-e-Insaf's walkout against the opposition of three Senators,
03:51Sen. Shibli Faraz said,
03:53Chairman Sen. Yusuf Raza Gilani is fighting for the rights of the people.
03:57We are with him.
03:58We demand that the results be presented in an acceptable manner.
04:03As Chairman, I issued a production order for Sen. Ijaz Chaudhary.
04:07He is not coming to the House.
04:09Because he is a political figure, a democratic figure.
04:11He is fighting for the respect and rights of this House.
04:15We are standing with him in this.
04:18The attitude of the Deputy Chairman is getting more and more aggressive every day.
04:22It is getting more and more controversial.
04:24He cannot behave like a PM.
04:26When the bill came, voting was done on it.
04:28That is an unfinished agenda.
04:30It did not happen.
04:31We have the right to protest. We did it.
04:33The language they used in that protest, the gestures they made,
04:36was it an insult?
04:37We are not Senators.
04:38They suspended our three Senators.
04:40The results of the bill that was passed should be announced.
04:44The Deputy Chairman should apologize for disrespecting fellow Senators.
04:47All Senators who have been suspended should be restored.
05:13The Punjab government has not imposed any restrictions on meetings with Bani PTI.
05:23Family, Vukla and party leaders are meeting as usual.
05:27The Minister of Information, Punjab, Usma Bukhari's barrister, Radhe Mal, said,
05:32they consider jail to be pure.
05:34Anyone can go there whenever they want.
05:36When there is no card left, the oppressed start playing cards.
05:40When you write a letter, you don't get a deal.
05:42And those who are being written letters,
05:44the propaganda campaign is run against them.
05:47Fifty people protested in London and completed the agenda of foreign agencies.
05:56The tour of the IMF review mission and technical team has been scheduled in Pakistan.
06:00According to the representative of the IMF in Pakistan,
06:03the IMF delegation will tour Pakistan by the middle of March.
06:06The delegation will discuss the first review under the program.
06:09On the request of climate financing, technical matters will also be discussed.
06:13The technical team will tour Pakistan by the end of February.
06:16The technical team will consider possible arrangements in relation to climate financing.
06:27The delegation of the Pakistan Retail Business Council has met with the Prime Minister.
06:31The delegation was led by Chairman Ziad Bashir.
06:33The Prime Minister approved the delegation of the retailers
06:36and assured them of solving the problems.
06:39The Prime Minister instructed the committee to form a committee to solve the retailers' problems.
06:43He said that such retailers who are in the tax net will not be burdened further.
06:47All retailers who do not pay tax are taking steps to bring them into the tax net.
06:52The use of smuggling cases in the yard of Shodashia is also increasing pressure.
06:58After the burial of the deceased Mustafa Amir, 11 samples have been obtained for DNA.
07:03Police Surgeon Dr. Samia Syed says that the body is very burnt,
07:07so the cause of death will not be determined.
07:11The aim of this entire exercise is to identify who the remains belong to.
07:16And the option of DNA in such burnt bodies is very difficult to carry out.
07:20We have collected 11 samples only for the identification of DNA.
07:24The results can be obtained in 3-7 days.
07:27The body is burnt, but the samples are better.
07:30We are hopeful that the DNA will be matched.
07:34According to the biometrics, the result of the burial is 70%.
07:38According to the DNA, the result is about 100%.
07:43After the break.
07:50Let's go directly to the Prime Minister's opening address of the Case Assignment and Management System.
08:12that marks an important step forward in ensuring a more efficient,
08:15transparent and accessible justice system in Pakistan.
08:19This is not just the introduction of a new system.
08:22It is a commitment to making justice work faster, better and more fairly
08:27for all through an effective oversight mechanism.
08:30I would like to express my appreciation to the Honorable Prime Minister of Pakistan
08:34for his leadership in driving governance reforms and for his presence here today,
08:39which reflects his commitment to modernizing Pakistan's justice sector.
08:43This launch of CAMHS directly contributes towards the Prime Minister's e-office initiative
08:48and we are grateful for the support received from the Minister of Law and Justice
08:52and his team which turned CAMHS into a reality.
08:55Also, I take this opportunity to acknowledge the support received from Canada
08:59and thank the High Commissioner, Leslie Scanlon, for their partnership with UNODC
09:04in strengthening the rule of law and justice sector reforms.
09:07This collaboration stands as a testament to the power of international cooperation
09:12in driving meaningful change through multilateral engagement.
09:16At UNODC, we believe that innovation and technology must serve the cause of justice.
09:22CAMHS represents the future where legal processes are more accessible,
09:26making institutions responsive for ensuring equal justice for all.
09:30However, today is not just the end of the journey, it is the beginning.
09:35This system will require continuous engagement, collaboration and training to maximize positive results.
09:42I encourage all stakeholders to embrace this change
09:45and ensure that CAMHS delivers on its promise of an efficient system.
09:50In closing, I would like to reiterate UNODC's unwavering support
09:54to the Government of Pakistan and the Minister of Law and Justice.
09:57My sincere gratitude once again to Canada for their support in making this initiative possible.
10:03Thank you. Pakistan Zindabad.
10:07Thank you sir for your insightful words.
10:10We are honored to invite Her Excellency Ms. Leslie Scanlon,
10:14the High Commissioner of Canada in Pakistan, to share her valuable thoughts with us.
10:34The app, finally, which is now a time for smartphones,
10:37you can access it wherever you are.
10:40The Pakistan Code that you inaugurated here,
10:45Alhamdulillah, it is a very good project from the point of view of digitization.
10:50All our Pakistani laws, federal laws,
10:54are on that app. They are in Android and Apple.
10:58We access them.
11:00The best thing about them is that today's amendment,
11:03our response time is 48 hours.
11:07When the bill is sent, the law ministry updates it.
11:11Earlier, it used to go in printing, it used to be published in books.
11:14We used to look for it for two months.
11:16Sir, in this too, the case assignment and management,
11:19it is something like this, the department received a summons from the court.
11:23We provide a platform, the Ministry of Law and Justice, for federal departments.
11:28Sir, they used to tell us immediately, but they used to say through letters.
11:32Sir, those letters used to stop on the way.
11:35Cases used to be time-barred.
11:37The government used to suffer losses of crores and billions.
11:40Sir, now we have done this, everything is automated.
11:42There is no excuse for anyone.
11:44Yes, the file did not reach, this did not happen, that did not happen.
11:46With one click, sir, it will be transmitted.
11:48Files will come.
11:50The case will be assigned.
11:51Yes, one officer in Peshawar,
11:53one in D.I. Khan,
11:54one in Sukkur,
11:55one in Quetta,
11:56one in Lahore.
11:57And this, sir, we will take to the level of the district and civil courts.
12:02Along with that, sir, they have to feed all this,
12:06the law officers, their staff.
12:08Sir, they will also tell the progress of every date in this.
12:12That yes, it happened today, the case did not happen.
12:14Why did it not happen?
12:15The judge was on leave.
12:16He was not there.
12:17The witness did not come.
12:18The officer was presented.
12:19It did not happen.
12:20And the officials also have to be updated, sir,
12:23that I went today, yes, this happened in the case.
12:25Sir, all this will be on a dashboard in front of us.
12:28So what you say that everything should be in your hand.
12:32In short, this is the whole system.
12:35With this prayer that we take Pakistan further in this transformation.
12:40In your leadership,
12:42according to your vision,
12:44a happy and strong Pakistan.
12:47Sir, thank you very much for your arrival and patronage.
12:50Thank you so much.
12:55Thank you, sir, for your valuable remarks and support.
12:59We now proceed with the official e-launch of CAMS
13:02and the distribution of appreciation certificates
13:04to honor key contributions.
13:06It is our privilege to invite the Honorable Prime Minister
13:09of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to the podium
13:12to formally launch CAMS.
13:15We also request the Federal Minister for Law and Justice,
13:18Barrister Aqeel Malik, Advisor Minister of Law and Justice,
13:21Her Excellency the High Commissioner of Canada,
13:23the country representative of the UNODC,
13:25and the Federal Secretary for Land Justice
13:27to join us on the stage for this special occasion.
13:36Thank you, sir.
13:37Now I request the Honorable Prime Minister
13:39to present appreciation certificates to
13:42Mr. Raja Naeem Akbar,
13:44Federal Secretary Rasool Senior Consultant and Project Director,
13:48CAMS, Ministry of Land Justice.
13:50Mr. Khurram Shehzad Moghal, Director General, L&M.
13:53Mr. Jamal Shah, Director, L&M.
13:56Mr. Gulfam Hameed, Additional Director, L&M.
13:59Mr. Ali Abbas, Deputy Director, L&M.
14:02Thank you, everyone.
14:03With great honor, I now invite
14:05the Honorable Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan,
14:08Mohammad Shihabaz Sharif.
14:10In the name of God, the Most Merciful, the Most Compassionate.
14:12Mr. Charles Wester,
14:14High Commissioner,
14:16Ms. Leslie Scanlon.
14:22Excellencies,
14:23Honorable Minister for Law,
14:25Chaudhry Azam Zidar,
14:27parliamentarians,
14:28and great officers from
14:31the Ministry of Law,
14:35government officers,
14:36ladies and gentlemen,
14:38As-salamu alaykum.
14:40I'd like to
14:43start by
14:45congratulating the Law Minister
14:48and his
14:49wonderful team to launch this
14:53CAMS,
14:54which was long overdue.
14:59Overdue because
15:02litigants,
15:04applicants all over Pakistan
15:08wanted
15:11transparent and speedy justice.
15:15And in that,
15:17this initiative
15:19will go a long way
15:21to address their
15:22grievances
15:24and provide
15:26justice
15:29in a reasonable
15:31time frame.
15:35In that, I'd also like to thank you,
15:38Mr. Charles Wester and
15:41Canadian High Commissioner,
15:42for providing funds
15:44for this
15:46very important project.
15:48Ladies and gentlemen,
15:49I would also like to
15:51appreciate the Law Minister's efforts
15:53to
15:56digitize his department.
15:59And as I said in the last
16:00cabinet meeting,
16:02his
16:04performance was
16:06100 percent.
16:07Piles of files.
16:09And tracing them,
16:10tracking them.
16:12And this
16:15track and trace system,
16:17which we have now introduced here
16:20through this
16:21modern technology,
16:23is really
16:24a need of the art.
16:26But on a lighter note,
16:28I'd like to share with you
16:30my personal experience
16:32in this last
16:34one year,
16:35that
16:37a few years ago,
16:38a track and trace system
16:40was introduced
16:42in FBR,
16:43Federal Board of Revenue,
16:45to collect
16:48due taxes
16:50from industry,
16:51whether it's tobacco
16:53or cement
16:54or sugar
16:55and so on and so forth.
16:58Fast forward,
17:00we had to
17:02track and trace
17:03this track and trace system.
17:06Believe me.
17:07And
17:08we had to put in
17:10long hours
17:11and
17:15very serious efforts
17:17to put this
17:19track and trace system
17:21in the right direction.
17:23And as I speak,
17:25it is now
17:27working efficiently.
17:29It was hobbling
17:30a few months ago,
17:31but now it's working efficiently
17:34and
17:35doing a great job
17:36for the people of Pakistan.
17:39Not only this,
17:41Federal Board of Revenue
17:43is now
17:46having a
17:48trial run
17:50of faceless interaction
17:52at Karachi Port.
17:54I visited
17:55this
17:56site myself
17:58a few weeks back.
18:00And now,
18:01once it is
18:03perfect in its operation,
18:04it will be then
18:06replicated
18:07all over Pakistan,
18:09seaports,
18:10airports,
18:11dry ports,
18:12et cetera.
18:13I think the challenge is
18:15to put
18:16things back
18:17on the track.
18:18And that is what
18:20this great team is
18:22doing
18:23a great work
18:24and results
18:26have started
18:27coming in.
18:28For example,
18:31trillions of rupees
18:32trillions of rupees
18:34supposedly
18:37meant for
18:39the exchequer of Pakistan
18:41have been
18:42delayed
18:43for decades.
18:45Why?
18:47You know,
18:48blatant collusion and corruption
18:50and lack of
18:51modern
18:53technology and
18:54modern techniques.
18:56I've been focusing on this
18:57area
18:58personally
19:00over these last
19:0111 months.
19:02Almost
19:03every month I would
19:04have
19:05a couple of
19:06meetings.
19:07And
19:08this was
19:09one of the
19:10reasons
19:11I
19:12had the
19:13honor of
19:14meeting
19:15our
19:16Chief Justice
19:17of Pakistan
19:18two days
19:19ago
19:20with this
19:21request
19:22that we
19:23want
19:24a decision
19:25which is
19:26based on
19:27merit,
19:28decision
19:29which is
19:30based on
19:31merit.
19:32Because
19:33trillions of
19:34rupees worth
19:35cases are
19:36pending at
19:37the
19:38tribunal
19:39level,
19:40at
19:41higher
19:42firms,
19:43high
19:44court,
19:45supreme
19:46court.
19:47And
19:48to
19:49run
19:50our
19:51business
19:52and
19:53pick up
19:54the
19:55expenditure
19:56of the
19:57government
19:58of Pakistan
19:59is not
20:00the way
20:01to live
20:02a decent
20:03life.
20:04This
20:05country,
20:06Islamic
20:07Republic of
20:08Pakistan,
20:09was meant
20:10to lead
20:11many
20:12nations,
20:13was meant
20:14to have
20:15its own
20:16mark
20:17standing
20:18because
20:19Allah
20:20Almighty
20:21has
20:22blessed
20:23Pakistan
20:24with
20:25resources,
20:26human
20:27resources,
20:28brilliant
20:29politicians,
20:30brilliant
20:31tax
20:32officers,
20:33brilliant
20:34economists
20:35and
20:36so on
20:37and so
20:38forth.
20:39What has
20:40been lacking
20:41is the
20:42will to
20:43do.
20:44If we
20:45had
20:46combined
20:47this
20:48factor
20:49with
20:50these
20:51resources,
20:52Pakistan
20:53would have
20:54transformed
20:55long ago.
20:56But
20:57we have
20:58to learn
20:59a lesson
21:00and move
21:01forward
21:02with a
21:03sense of
21:04achievement
21:05and by
21:06God I
21:07can tell
21:08you without
21:09any fear
21:10of
21:11contradiction
21:12that this
21:13is still
21:14possible
21:15and
21:16most
21:17definitely
21:18achievable
21:19provided
21:20that we
21:21have the
21:22will to
21:23do,
21:24provided
21:25that we
21:26have the
21:27will to
21:28do.
21:29This
21:30will not
21:31only
21:32compensate
21:33our
21:34losses of
21:35the past
21:36but
21:37dividends
21:38in times
21:39to come.
21:40So,
21:41ladies and
21:42gentlemen,
21:43like this
21:44camps
21:45which has
21:46come into
21:47being
21:48now
21:49through
21:50great
21:51efforts
21:52and
21:53commitment,
21:54this
21:55is
21:56a
21:57great
21:58opportunity
21:59for
22:00all of
22:01us.
22:02I would
22:03like to
22:04thank all
22:05our
22:06stakeholders,
22:07our
22:08international
22:09partners
