00:00:38Good morning my darlings and welcome to a new vlog.
00:00:43Welcome back if you have joined me before.
00:00:46I don't know why I'm kind of nervous starting this vlog.
00:00:49I guess you might be intrigued by the title of this video.
00:00:53Something very exciting is happening tomorrow
00:00:57and I will explain everything and I'm going to bring you along
00:01:00for the entire process that we're going through.
00:01:05So stay tuned but that's happening tomorrow.
00:01:09I'm excited and a little bit nervous as well
00:01:13but for today we've got a shoot day here at the house.
00:01:16We've got Jake coming over at any moment
00:01:18and I've got a few bits and bobs that I want to shoot here in the house.
00:01:22So there's going to be a few outfit changes
00:01:26and I found myself in a little bit of a rut
00:01:29during this transitional time of year when it comes to outfits.
00:01:33I really want to get back in the swing of creating fashion content.
00:01:37It's something that I love but ever since moving to the Cotswolds
00:01:40I do feel like I kind of lost my mojo with it somewhat.
00:01:45So yeah I'm gonna do, I am spoiler alert, gonna be doing
00:01:48my spring outfit challenge again. I did it last year
00:01:52over on Instagram and so many of you absolutely loved it
00:01:56and I thought I would share a little bit of that on YouTube as well.
00:01:59So that leads me on to what I want to share with you this morning.
00:02:03I've got three new bags to unbox. I'm only going to keep maximum one of
00:02:09these bags and I'm on the lookout for something
00:02:12beautiful that's incredibly versatile to be
00:02:16my kind of everyday handbag for the rest of winter. In my head the first of
00:02:22March is the start of spring, so even if the
00:02:25weather doesn't quite agree with me, in my head we've got like
00:02:2810 days left of, maybe a little bit longer, 10 or so days left of February and
00:02:32then we're in spring. I know technically it's not until the
00:02:3521st but anyway. The bag that I would like to choose from these three hopefully
00:02:40will be my go-to spring handbag, so really really need your help deciding
00:02:47which one. I'm gonna do my best to show you a few
00:02:49outfits as well, but it's so grey and miserable outside
00:02:52that it never leads to very inspiring footage,
00:02:56so I'll do my best. The outfit of this morning, this is the first thing that I'm
00:03:00going to shoot with Jake. It's quite preppy for me, but I really
00:03:04really like it. I'm actually head to ankle, head to ankle
00:03:08in Jules. Jules have had such a glow up, I would say, in the last couple of months.
00:03:14I absolutely adore their campaign imagery, it's really positive and
00:03:18uplifting and jolly, and their pieces are just so
00:03:21wearable. I really liked how they'd styled
00:03:23this shirt on the website, and I popped it on
00:03:27with this little sleeveless vest, and then
00:03:30who'd have thought it, but Jules denim. Absolutely gorgeous. By the way, you will
00:03:36see here a little QR code popping up on the
00:03:40screen. We tested this last week in the vlogs, and you guys
00:03:44intuit- intuitively? Yeah, intuitively knew what to do. Lots of you used the QR
00:03:49codes, so anytime I talk about something that
00:03:53maybe if you're watching on your television, and you want to
00:03:56know outfit details, then you can just grab your phone and
00:04:00scan the QR code, and it'll take you straight to a shoppable page.
00:04:03Now, I have never seen any other influencers
00:04:07or YouTubers doing this. Please correct me if
00:04:10someone else has done this already, but I feel like this could be a trend that
00:04:16we're going to see other people doing. It just makes so much sense, especially
00:04:19knowing, and I asked you guys last week how you watch the videos, and so many of
00:04:24you said you watch them on TV. When you guys tag me on your Instagram
00:04:27stories, often you're watching on TV, so if your phone is in your hand, which I
00:04:32bet it is, then you can just really easily scan
00:04:35the outfits using the QR code, or if I've got a discount code for
00:04:39something, then the QR code will take you to my discount,
00:04:42or it could be taking you to a recipe, so I hope you find that useful. It's a
00:04:47little bit of extra work for us, so if you don't find it useful, then
00:04:51we won't do it anymore, but we'll just try it and
00:04:54see how it goes. So if you whip out your phone, if you've never done it before,
00:04:59I wish I could show you, but it'd be a bit tricky. Basically, get out your phone
00:05:03and open up your camera, and then point the phone
00:05:06at the QR code, like, hold it quite close,
00:05:09you can zoom in if you want to, and then a little yellow
00:05:12kind of thing will appear in the bottom of your screen.
00:05:16Tap that, and it'll take you to the link, so it'll take you to a page where you
00:05:20can shop this outfit. Hopefully that's really helpful, and you
00:05:25guys will enjoy doing that, so let me know your
00:05:28feedback. But yeah, I hope we can do it for this
00:05:31outfit. Some brands it may not work with, we'll see.
00:05:34But yeah, so here is a really nice pair of jeans.
00:05:38They're not too wide, they're kind of like a
00:05:41very relaxed cross between a skinny and a mom style jean.
00:05:46I just absolutely love them, it's the perfect silhouette, and then to be honest
00:05:49I've just got them on at the moment with my
00:05:50slippers, so nothing too jazzy. My jewellery is from the really lovely
00:05:56brand called Ligne, which I first introduced you to
00:06:00back on my ski trip during Vlogmas. How elegant are their rings? Actually
00:06:06I've just got one more to show you. Let's bring you up to show you this one.
00:06:09It kind of looks like it's in an engagement ring box,
00:06:13and I've specifically chosen this one to, at the moment, replace my wedding band.
00:06:20So if you've been watching the videos for a little while, you might know that
00:06:24tragically I'm allergic to my wedding band,
00:06:27and I can't remember which way around it is. Either my engagement ring or my
00:06:30wedding band is platinum and one is white gold.
00:06:34Whichever one my wedding band is, I'm allergic to that metal, which is crazy.
00:06:39So I've actually chosen this as something that I'm going to wear in
00:06:44place of my wedding band. This is 14 karat gold and diamond,
00:06:49but Ligne have got a huge breadth of prices. I think they have pieces under
00:06:54£20. They have taken out the markups that you
00:06:58see in so many jewellery brands, and yet beautiful gold, like heirloom
00:07:02quality, the kind of pieces that you don't need to take off in the shower
00:07:04because their quality is so good that they're not going to tarnish.
00:07:07They've got lab-grown diamonds, traditional
00:07:10and silver gold. They just have the most beautiful elegant selection,
00:07:15and because of their huge breadth of prices, because of the
00:07:19huge breadth of kind of materials that they use,
00:07:23you can really have so much fun creating a ring cluster. Like, look at the
00:07:26beautiful designs here. Every single one of these rings, except obviously for my
00:07:30engagement ring, is from Ligne, and I love the nature
00:07:34element of them. Like, they just look like little
00:07:36leaves. Excuse my nails, I'm going to be doing them at some point in the next
00:07:39couple of days. Anyway, the new wedding band. How
00:07:42exciting. I just looked on the website for the
00:07:45name of it. It's called the Giselle Graduated Diamond Ring 14 Carat Gold. It
00:07:50actually gives you an estimated retail price, so if, kind of
00:07:54like how Beauty Pie works, if a traditional
00:07:56retailer were to sell this, they estimate it would be over £1,100,
00:08:00but this is less than, well, around half of that at,
00:08:04currently it's in sale, £563. 14 carat yellow gold and diamond, with 11
00:08:09brilliant round diamonds. Ooh, they are lab grown,
00:08:15which we know is my favourite. Enough with 10 times markups, we price our
00:08:19products fairly so you can enjoy the finer things in life
00:08:22every day. Yeah, I love it. So this is the Giselle ring,
00:08:26and it looks like this. I know what you're thinking,
00:08:29it looks very similar to my actual wedding band, and that was the point,
00:08:33that was the whole point. So don't mind me while I just
00:08:36marry myself again.
00:08:42How beautiful does that look? And then I love that we've got the kind of
00:08:46mini version next to it here, so absolutely stunning. My earrings are
00:08:52also from Ligne, these little beautiful flowers,
00:08:54so delicate, such amazing prices, and yeah, I hope you guys will check them
00:08:59out because they really are beautiful. It's a lovely,
00:09:01lovely brand. I will leave them all linked down below,
00:09:04and possibly here as well, if this is working out.
00:09:09So that's the outfit of the day, now let me show you, and you guys need to help me
00:09:13decide between these three absolutely beautiful
00:09:16handbags for spring. I wish we had like lighting within the
00:09:19fireplace, wouldn't it be so nice if there was like
00:09:22lights up here that could make it glow? Maybe that's something we need to look
00:09:26into. OK, bag number one, and this is probably
00:09:31the most statement bag, and already thinking ahead to Chelsea Flower Show,
00:09:36this bag will be perfect for that, but I am
00:09:39looking for an everyday spring handbag. Erdem is a
00:09:44brand that I absolutely adore, beautiful British brand, and you will have
00:09:49seen in the intro kind of little montage of this video
00:09:51my Barber Erdem collaboration jacket, which I absolutely love. I think that
00:09:56design has sold out now, super annoyingly,
00:10:00because it was definitely the best one, but
00:10:02maybe it'll come back in stock, so stay tuned for that. But
00:10:06I, because of that, was like, oh I wonder what Erdem are doing at the moment
00:10:10bag and ready to wear wise, and I saw this.
00:10:13I ordered, actually they're from a mixture of different websites, so I'll
00:10:16just leave them linked down below, but I think this
00:10:22could be really rather special. Oh wow.
00:10:31This is a masterpiece, this is a work of art.
00:10:35It's got a metal, would you say that's a rose or a tulip?
00:10:39It's actually more of a tulip, I would say, on the top here,
00:10:43and then it's got this very relaxed kind of shape to it. It's reminding me a
00:10:47little bit of the Loewe puzzle bag, but that colour
00:10:52is just perfection. Isn't that just the most beautiful colour?
00:10:56They call it khaki, I would probably call it
00:10:59olive, and the flower is in gold. It's just the most beautiful soft
00:11:05material. This would be a really lovely evening
00:11:07bag. I can already feel myself talking myself into keeping this one
00:11:12and another one. I mean this is a very relaxed kind of
00:11:16everyday around the house slash casual day of meetings kind of outfit,
00:11:21whereas the bag is a lot more elevated. My goodness,
00:11:25it really is lovely. Do we find this a bit rude,
00:11:29or is it obvious that it's a flower? That is my question. I guess the
00:11:33leaf makes it obvious that it's a flower, otherwise it could be a little bit rude.
00:11:39What do you guys think? Maybe as part of my kind of trying on a few bits
00:11:43later on today, I'll try clutching this with an evening outfit as well.
00:11:50Oh it is lovely, isn't it? Yeah, I definitely
00:11:54I definitely need to see this with an evening look. I am potentially saving the
00:11:58best till last. This one I just felt would be really fun
00:12:03for spring kind of pastel fresh fabulous outfits, and it is from a
00:12:08brand that I have got a few bags from this
00:12:11brand, and I always get so much wear out of
00:12:15them, so I'm not going to say good value because
00:12:18designer bags, the prices have gone up so much that it's actually ridiculous.
00:12:22Oh it actually doesn't even say, oh they've made it really really subtle,
00:12:25you won't even be able to read that probably.
00:12:27It's from Gucci, and yes they're very expensive, but I do
00:12:31find myself wearing them a lot, and the bag is
00:12:37this adorable little pink bucket bag. How sweet is that? I actually think size
00:12:43wise it's really really good. It's going to
00:12:47fit the bits that I need with me, my camera,
00:12:50my phone, my purse, and a few other little bits and bobs,
00:12:54but without being too absolutely ginormous. I presume there's going to be a
00:12:58shoulder strap in here as well, but I always think it looks quite chic
00:13:01just carrying something over the crook of your arm like so,
00:13:05and aside from my big bulky, well big, my bulky Prada basket bag, I don't have
00:13:11anything this colour, so it's nice to have
00:13:14something a little bit different and fun to add to the rotation. It's also
00:13:18that kind of leather which is almost wipe clean. Oh yeah, perfect, there is a
00:13:24little shoulder strap, and then inside it's split into two
00:13:28sections, and you've got the little magnetic
00:13:31clasp if you wanted to just press it shut, which is
00:13:35actually quite effective. Very very cute. Would it be more
00:13:39versatile if it was a tan colour to match my other accessories,
00:13:42or is it fun that it's something a little bit brighter and
00:13:45more suitable for spring? That's the question.
00:13:48Okay, now I feel that I have left the best till last,
00:13:52and this is the one that my gut instinct is saying
00:13:56would be the one to keep as an everyday spring handbag,
00:14:00but it also feels like the kind of design you could wear
00:14:04all year round. It's from a brand that I have not shot from before,
00:14:08I've not owned anything from this brand in the past.
00:14:12Do we say bally? Or barley? Or ballet? I don't know, I would call it barley,
00:14:20like barley but with a b. And I have got a bag in this kind of colour combination
00:14:25before, I actually wore it the day before yesterday in London, and I
00:14:29find the colour combination very very versatile, and as far as designer
00:14:33bags go, this was expensive, but as far as
00:14:37designer bags go, it was not scary.
00:14:41Not too scary. So from Bali, also it's the biggest of these
00:14:47three bags, and I'm not a small bag person when it
00:14:50comes to an everyday bag, so the colour combo is kind of like
00:14:56what I would call almost canvas with the tan leather.
00:15:02I think it's rather beautiful, it also kind of reminds me a little bit of the
00:15:09Hermes, I don't know that much about Hermes,
00:15:11but is it the Kelly? And this combo of canvas and
00:15:17tan, I know that Hermes do, and I love it
00:15:20so much, but honestly I cannot even begin to fathom
00:15:24how much that bag costs. This is under a thousand pounds, which
00:15:28still crazy, but for a designer bag I feel is
00:15:32not too bad. Everything in life, you've got to put it
00:15:36into perspective. So the in- let me show you with the outfit, in fact it's probably
00:15:40the bag of the three that's definitely
00:15:42going to go with this outfit the best. Practicality wise, size wise, definitely
00:15:48the most versatile for me. Here I am literally talking myself into
00:15:52it. And inside, yes you've got a shoulder
00:15:54strap, which is probably rather useful for like
00:15:57a full day in the city, but then you've got, oh I do love a bag
00:16:01with multiple pockets, so you've got a zippy section in the
00:16:04middle for all of your essentials, you've got a little kind of envelope
00:16:07pocket on this side, and then you've got a double, like
00:16:11there's a little catch in the middle envelope on that side, a little magnetic
00:16:16closure, and it's quite nice that it's a brand
00:16:19that not many people- I mean I don't- it's not a flashy brand,
00:16:22it's not got logos all over it like the Gucci,
00:16:26it just feels very practical, understated,
00:16:29but beautiful quality. It is made in the most beautiful way, the leather
00:16:34and the canvas, you've got the leather underneath, it does feel like a very
00:16:38very timeless bag, so I feel like I may have just
00:16:41talked myself into this bag, but very keen to hear what you guys think.
00:16:46But anyway without further ado, I need to go and start shooting now, so
00:16:49the next thing you'll see might be a flurry of different outfits that
00:16:53I'm styling for, I almost said autumn, all the
00:16:57browns is giving autumn, that's the only thing, is it a bit autumn?
00:17:01I don't know, or is it just really versatile? Anyway,
00:17:04let me go and get shooting and I'll leave you guys with some outfits.
00:17:08Okay I've just come down to the kitchen, I think the boys are outside shooting,
00:17:12collecting herbs from the garden, but they are filming
00:17:16Charlie's cottage pie recipe. Smells amazing. So I'm not going to dwell
00:17:22on this outfit because this is literally a gardening outfit,
00:17:25but we just finished my sweet pea reel, which is three different ways,
00:17:32three different ways that you can grow sweet peas from home, which I would
00:17:35so highly recommend, because come summer they are just, firstly they're
00:17:40very easy to grow, very affordable, they are so plentiful, if you've got the
00:17:45tiniest little bit of outside space then you can grow sweet peas, especially if
00:17:48it's slightly sunnier in that area, and every
00:17:52day I promise you you'll be bringing in
00:17:54handfuls, bunches and bunches of sweet peas, and they just smell
00:17:59so amazing. If you go over to anyone's house, taking some homegrown
00:18:02sweet peas just in a little jar, I think it's the nicest idea. So
00:18:06we've just filmed my three ways to start off your sweet peas,
00:18:10and now is the perfect time. You don't need a greenhouse either,
00:18:14and I've shown you how to start them off, in fact
00:18:17QR code! You can see the video here, I think this is going to be really
00:18:21exciting isn't it? But yeah, including ways you can start them
00:18:24off literally for free, slash just the price of your
00:18:27seeds, using kitchen roll tubes or whatever tubes you
00:18:30happen to have. Anyway I filmed it wearing this gilet is
00:18:35Jules, Jules as I mentioned, I'm just loving their collection at the moment.
00:18:39This, I think I'm definitely going to get one of these for Lala
00:18:43and for Charlie's mum as well, this, because they're just so nice, like
00:18:49really beautifully fitted here, love the little pocket detail,
00:18:53lovely zip, and I've layered it over my Holland Cooper fleece
00:18:58and then just brown leggings. So we are going to now pause
00:19:01for lunch because Charlie's just finished his
00:19:05cottage pie, because it's made with lamb, no!
00:19:08Shepherd's pie, it's made with lamb. That'll be coming onto his YouTube
00:19:12channel either this Sunday or next Sunday, I'm not too sure on the turnaround time.
00:19:16Ooh maybe today, maybe today! Yes, so I'll leave Charlie's cottage pie
00:19:21video linked down below because there is nothing
00:19:24more cosy and comforting than a properly made
00:19:27homemade cottage pie, shepherd's pie, so yeah we're gonna go and eat
00:19:31and then I'm gonna try on a few new looks.
00:19:47So
00:20:10okay so we just filmed one outfit styled with three different kind of
00:20:15toppers, outerwear slash extra bits, so first of all if you didn't watch to the
00:20:21end of the last vlog where I went to London at the end, you might have missed
00:20:24this absolute gem. I went into the Zara on the
00:20:28King's Road, which is a tier one Zara, and what that
00:20:31means is that they basically get the best
00:20:34stock, like the most premium pieces and the most on-trend pieces, then there's
00:20:39tier two stores like the rest of London and tier three might be, I don't know, a
00:20:43small, a smaller town, and they might have less trend pieces
00:20:47and more of the kind of essentials, knitwear, that kind of thing. I always
00:20:51think you find the best gems in Zara King's Road, and this suede
00:20:56jacket, I don't know if it can be real suede, I'm not sure,
00:21:00£49.99, oh my goodness, I think it's
00:21:05fantastic. So I've styled it over the top of my just
00:21:08essential favourite, this Ralph Lauren little camisole, which I just
00:21:12love, and I think as soon as I saw it on the website I was like, that's gonna be
00:21:16very very practical. So this is the look. What bag did I do in the video we just
00:21:22shot? I think I did the green URDEM bag. The only thing I would say,
00:21:27obviously I can't complain because it was £49.99,
00:21:29I wish the sleeves were a little bit more cropped because they are very very
00:21:34long sleeves. I might have to do the elastic band
00:21:37trick to keep the sleeves held up, yeah I'm not sure if they'd stay there,
00:21:41but for under £50 I think this jacket is absolutely
00:21:46wonderful. I've actually just popped in a different pair of linear
00:21:49earrings, these are these just classic, classic little hoops
00:21:53for everyday styling. The next piece of outerwear that I styled in the video
00:21:59was this, which is a wax, kind of wax-esque jacket, and it's a long line
00:22:07jacket, so really perfect for rainy days. It looks
00:22:10shinier in what you're seeing now because I've got lights behind the
00:22:13camera because it's so dark outside, but I really really like this. I think it's
00:22:18quite a practical piece for rainy days in London,
00:22:22or trips to the countryside, dog walks, things like that,
00:22:25and it's not too thick, so as the temperatures
00:22:29eventually do rise up, I think this is going to be
00:22:33a really nice piece. The details are lovely, so you've got this
00:22:36cord on the sleeves, my ring keeps spinning around, I need to
00:22:40get it a bit smaller, my engagement ring. Yeah, cord detail on the sleeves
00:22:44and on the collar, and I think it looks really nice
00:22:48when you tie the straps together at the back, because then it hangs
00:22:53more open, like so, which I think is just a really nice
00:22:58look because then you get to see a little bit more of a glimpse
00:23:01of the outfit underneath. And then the third thing that I did was the Ralph
00:23:04Lauren cardigan, which is my fave. Anyway, that's enough for now,
00:23:08and I can smell my mouth is watering. Charlie's finished cottage pie, so
00:23:14they're getting like the serving shots, and I cannot wait
00:23:17to dig in. Nice, nice, it's unhealthy, it's comforting,
00:23:23it's warming, it's fulfilling, and it's perfect for the
00:23:27colder, gloomier months of the year.
00:23:39Good morning, my darlings. It's the next day. I was
00:23:42so mentally pooped after our... I hate that expression.
00:23:46I was very tired after our shoot day yesterday,
00:23:49so apologies vlogging. Slightly fell off a cliff a little bit.
00:23:54I have put the Clé de Peau eyebrow gel in that's in my
00:23:58handbag makeup bag, and it's just... I think it's a little bit too dark for me,
00:24:03isn't it? I always think I look quite cross and
00:24:05severe when my brows are too dark. Anyway, this morning I am meeting Charlie,
00:24:12I don't know if I should tell you where, I'm just going to tell you,
00:24:15in Great Shoe, which is the most beautiful village that's just
00:24:22outside the Cotswolds technically, but who's counting?
00:24:27And it is also the village right by Soho Farmhouse.
00:24:32If you've ever stayed at Soho Farmhouse and gone for a walk,
00:24:35you might have stumbled across the Falkland Arms, which is the pub,
00:24:39and it's also, most importantly, where Quince & Clover is, which you guys know
00:24:42we are in love with Quince & Clover. It's our
00:24:44favourite deli, place to get salads, breakfasts,
00:24:47the most delicious things in the entire world, and
00:24:51we're not going into Great Shoe to go to Quince & Clover this morning,
00:24:55we are going for a house viewing. Yes, really really exciting. It's actually
00:25:02quite rare that any property comes up for sale at
00:25:06Great Shoe, it's a really in-demand village. There are not many houses in
00:25:09the village, something that I think makes it
00:25:13extremely popular, well, as well as its location,
00:25:16proximity to Farmhouse, Quince & Clover, is also the primary school there. The
00:25:21primary school, obviously the catchment, is Great Shoe.
00:25:24It's a really well-renowned school, and properties just get snapped up,
00:25:28and because of this, when properties do come up for sale in Great Shoe,
00:25:32they are often a lot more expensive than maybe they
00:25:36would be in other villages. It's supply and demand.
00:25:40So the property that we're going to see this morning,
00:25:43it is maybe a little bit overpriced, we already kind of know that,
00:25:49but it's a magical property, and we have been
00:25:53playing with the idea of downsizing for a little while now. Now you may
00:26:00know that we have got two holiday cottages
00:26:04already, Strawtop Cottage and Strawtop Cottage 2,
00:26:08and they are in another really beautiful village, which is also
00:26:12just on the border of the Cotswolds, and incredibly located.
00:26:16It has been a passion project of both, well, mostly Charlie's,
00:26:20but of mine as well, to renovate these cottages in the most beautiful way,
00:26:24and very importantly, these two cottages are
00:26:27thatched, hence the name Strawtop. The first cottage that we purchased was
00:26:31actually called Strawtop, and then we just kind of renamed the next one.
00:26:34So the cottage that we're going to see this morning
00:26:38is a potential to add to our Strawtop Cottage,
00:26:44um, I was gonna say empire, it's definitely not an empire
00:26:48collection edit of cottages, but it's smaller, quite considerably smaller.
00:26:54Our existing cottages, they're almost identical inside, they're next to each
00:26:57other, and they are so cosy and homely, and
00:27:00because of the renovation work that we've done and the
00:27:03incredible eye for detail that Charlie has,
00:27:06they're just, you know, every finishing touch
00:27:09is done to the highest level. They are exceptional cottages, if I do say so
00:27:13myself, and while they are both at two
00:27:16bedroom, the majority of the guests that actually stay in them
00:27:20are just a couple by themselves. So we were thinking
00:27:23maybe a one-bedroom cottage in an incredible location
00:27:29could be an interesting consideration. So the cottage that we're going to look at
00:27:33today in the heart of Great Tube is a one-bedroom cottage with a
00:27:38beautiful dinky little lounge. Ooh, I need to move,
00:27:42someone's coming. Hold your horses! It's also quite a busy
00:27:46village. I feel like I'm really upright. There we go, what was I saying? Yes,
00:27:51a cute little lounge, the kitchen is teeny weeny, but
00:27:58just go and get your breakfast and your dinner at great
00:28:01Soho Farmhouse or Quince and Clover. It's big enough
00:28:04to cook in and maybe we would pop in a little aga,
00:28:07and then there's, to be honest, actually there are two bedrooms upstairs,
00:28:11however one of them is so small we would turn it into like a kind of closet
00:28:15slash dressing room space, which I think would be far more useful to our guests.
00:28:21And then it's actually got a fairly big garden,
00:28:24beautiful views stretching over the Great Tube estate,
00:28:29which is just the most beautiful kind of parkland,
00:28:32so it would be the teeny weeny jewel in our crown,
00:28:35Straw Top Mini. I think I'd find a better name for it than that,
00:28:38Straw Top Petite? No, I don't know. But anyway, we've not even looked around
00:28:44it yet, so I will film as much as I can and
00:28:49yeah, let's go and take a look. I'm meeting Charlie, he's going to be here
00:28:52any second, in fact he's probably in Quince and Clover, so let's go and get him.
00:29:22Okay, just got back home. It's so cute!
00:29:43It is a really, really sweet cottage. The bathroom, albeit teeny weeny, had
00:29:50recently been renovated, so not much that we would need to do there. The
00:29:54kitchen, I think again without without spending a
00:29:58huge amount of money, we would be able to give it the Straw
00:30:02Top touch, make it really magical. That adorable living room with the
00:30:07fireplace, that is a big tick for us. We'd pop in a charnwood stove,
00:30:10the lovely exposed brick. Again, just magical and charming,
00:30:15and it would be a romantic bolt hole, just
00:30:19it's tiny, like when you go in you're like, oh this is even smaller than I was
00:30:22expecting. But if you just want to be in an
00:30:26incredible location, perfect for exploring the Cotswolds and
00:30:30just with your partner or a best friend or something that
00:30:33you're happy to share a bedroom with, I wouldn't mind that tininess. Interestingly,
00:30:40it is currently an Airbnb, so I just had a little look
00:30:44on their site and on their guest reviews, and the reviews are all really
00:30:48positive, everyone's raving about the location.
00:30:50A few people did say it's smaller than I was expecting,
00:30:54so I guess we would just have to make it really clear that it is
00:30:57a mini, it's a teeny weeny. If you're six foot nine,
00:31:02maybe you shouldn't stay there, maybe you should stay at Soho Farmhouse.
00:31:06And that's another consideration, obviously Soho Farmhouse is just there.
00:31:10We would price ourselves lower than Soho Farmhouse,
00:31:13and arguably provide even more nice touches,
00:31:17but there is something really nice about staying at Soho Farmhouse, so they would
00:31:21be our biggest competitor in that way. But
00:31:25then also our best friend, because you have to be a farmhouse or Soho
00:31:30member to book the accommodations there, but as a
00:31:33member you can invite three guests. So say you as a member have three friends
00:31:39and you want to all do a trip together, you can only share your room with
00:31:43one of those friends maximum, but because each bit of
00:31:49accommodation has to have a member in it, so if
00:31:51you need two bits of accommodation, you need a member in each.
00:31:55Or a better example, if you're a couple and you want to go on holiday with
00:31:58couple friends, your couple, you as your couple would
00:32:01have to split up, because there needs to be a member in each bit of
00:32:04accommodation, if that makes sense. So that's when our cottage could come in,
00:32:09because you and your partner who are members
00:32:12could stay at Soho Farmhouse, and then your couple friends who are not
00:32:15members could stay at our cottage, and then you all just hang out together
00:32:18at Soho Farmhouse in the day. That would be a good little solution.
00:32:23Anyway, where this could be quite boring, this decision making for lots of you,
00:32:27so I won't dwell. If I have time with Charlie later on, maybe we'll have
00:32:30another little chat on camera. When it comes to the price, if you're
00:32:35nosy, I'm sure you can google it, it is considerably more money than what
00:32:40we paid for both of the other straw tops, not
00:32:42combined, but each individual straw top cottage that we have.
00:32:45This is like a third more for a smaller cottage, but in a better
00:32:50location, so it's a real consideration. We could charge more because
00:32:54of its location, but yeah, lots to think about. What do you guys
00:32:58think? I know that a few of you guys have actually stayed at our cottage,
00:33:02or cottages, and we are getting booked up for summer, so I will leave the Airbnb
00:33:06links down below, but we are getting booked up, so don't
00:33:09dilly dally. Oops, my memory card was full.
00:33:13Yeah, let me know what you think. I would actually genuinely love your opinions. Is
00:33:17it too small? Is it adorable? Let me know. We probably have to act
00:33:22quite quickly, because property in the Cotswolds
00:33:24and surrounding areas gets snapped up, but definitely lots to think about.
00:33:32So I'm gonna go inside and make myself some breakfast, because I can't make any
00:33:34decisions on an empty tummy, and Charlie gets hangry on an empty tummy,
00:33:38so let's go and do some avocado toast.
00:34:05So I've just given the boys their second
00:34:11breakfast, which is their venison bone broth
00:34:14from Different Dog, which is their favourite thing. I love bone broth for me,
00:34:20and it's also really good for your doggies, but not human bone broth, because
00:34:24they can't have the onions or the garlic,
00:34:26and that's one of my favourite things that we get in our Different Dog
00:34:29deliveries, as well as their lovely dog food.
00:34:32We also get the little pouches of bone broth which you freeze, and then every
00:34:35two or three days I defrost a pouch and give it to them,
00:34:38and they love it. I pour in some water to kind of dilute it a little bit,
00:34:44and then they have more bone broth each, one pouch between
00:34:47the two boys. Anyway, Mr Postman has just been,
00:34:51and this is something that I want to try out. I think we'll try out
00:34:57tomorrow morning. I've seen it on, not TikTok, it was
00:35:01actually on my Instagram Explore page, but I actually
00:35:05saw someone using this in the changing rooms
00:35:09at Bamford at my gym. One of the girls was using it,
00:35:12and it just made her hair routine so simple, and she got this beautiful like
00:35:18bouncy blow-dry effect. I'm kind of skirting around telling you
00:35:21what it actually is. It's a blow-dry brush from
00:35:26Revlon. Boots have got some amazing, I don't know if they'll still be on
00:35:30actually, discounts on at the moment. I'm going to be posting something
00:35:33on my stories today with an edit because they've got so many
00:35:36mega deals. I will leave it linked up on the screen here somewhere
00:35:41if the sales are still on. So it's called the One Step
00:35:45Style Booster. I paid under 40 pounds for this,
00:35:50and it's quite similar to the GHD, is it called the Duet?
00:35:54And also the bristle brush on a Dyson, which is my favourite.
00:35:58So you can use it on slightly damp or dry hair. I think it's going to be
00:36:03amazing, and hopefully a real time saver, and a
00:36:06smaller barrel than my big blow-dry brush that I've
00:36:09got from Drybar, because that one, the brush is so
00:36:14big it gives me a nice little bit of curl down at the bottom,
00:36:17but not quite a blow-dry effect if that makes sense. So when I wash my hair
00:36:21tomorrow after Pilates, I'm going to give this a go, and we can
00:36:25try it out together. My hair is quite fine but I've got a lot
00:36:29of it, and it does not hold a style well. Even
00:36:32well yesterday I actually curled my hair, and even pinned it up while the curls
00:36:38cooled down, it still just completely fell out as you
00:36:41saw yesterday with my very non-curly hair. So
00:36:45that was my boots order. This one is slightly more exciting.
00:36:51So this is an order from Anthropologie, and you just never know what you're
00:36:56going to get on Anthropologie. They have got so many
00:36:58lovely things. I saw these sunglasses and thought they
00:37:02looked really fun. They've just got this kind of wiggly
00:37:05wobbly side, and their tortoise shell, they're not going to look nice with my
00:37:08hair pulled back in a post-Pilates bun, look like something out of The Matrix. I
00:37:13think they're a bit wide for my face, aren't they?
00:37:16Possibly, but I'll try them when I'm looking a little bit more glamorous,
00:37:20hopefully tomorrow, because I don't know, when I
00:37:24have hair like this, and very very minimal makeup on,
00:37:28I just don't feel like trying things on. I am going to have to do hair and makeup
00:37:31in a second because I'm going into London later this afternoon, and yeah, this is
00:37:36not the look for that. Clothing. So I will pop a clip on the
00:37:41screen here of me trying this on, but it's this
00:37:44lovely little white blouse, and if you watched
00:37:47my trend video at the beginning of the year, I mentioned kind of Chloe vibes,
00:37:51bohemian, a little bit, a little bit western,
00:37:55very much on trend for this spring, and I thought this blouse absolutely summed
00:37:59that up. It's so random, the things that I've ordered.
00:38:02This is a keep cup because I like taking my smoothies out and
00:38:08about with me, and I just thought this would be the
00:38:11most fun way of doing it. So it's a large keep cup,
00:38:15it doesn't keep your smoothie hot or cold, it's
00:38:18not temperature regulating, it's quite heavy, that's the only thing I'd say,
00:38:23but very substantial lid, and when you pull the straw out
00:38:27it's got a little kind of suctiony thing, so if you finish your smoothie,
00:38:33the only question is where do you put your straw, but it's not going to like
00:38:37dribble all over your handbag. So yeah, I think this is going to be
00:38:40really really handy for iced coffee as well.
00:38:44I just think it's quite cute, I like the pink thingamajig around it.
00:38:48I will leave all of these pieces linked down below,
00:38:51and it's not glass so it's not going to break. Love that.
00:38:55Oh, it actually says that it does keep things hot and cold.
00:38:59Plastic sleeve for durability, splash proof, clean taste,
00:39:03no metal transfer taste, and it does keep things hot or cold.
00:39:09Not sure if I believe it, but we shall find out.
00:39:13What's next? Something else I'll need to try on for you.
00:39:16This is rather adorable, this little green and white striped blouse.
00:39:21I can see myself doing the gardening wearing this,
00:39:24with a pair of white jeans tucked in with a nice belt,
00:39:27also a nice thing to take on holiday with you potentially,
00:39:31keep the sun off your shoulders. Yes, that's very nice, I love the colour.
00:39:35Cute! This is quite kind of granny style in the cutest way. I think this will be a
00:39:41really nice little layering piece in the spring months, very very sweet,
00:39:46and my goodness it is so soft. There's something quite, I don't know,
00:39:50rustic and very granny-ish about this style of
00:39:54stitching, but yeah that's absolutely adorable
00:39:57over a little pretty dress. Oh, I forgot that I'd ordered something
00:40:00from UGG. Wow, these look ginormous. Have I
00:40:04ordered a five, thinking that it would be an
00:40:07American five, but actually it's a British five, I think that's exactly what
00:40:10I've done. I have been wearing my UGG clogs quite a
00:40:14lot, I actually just posted an Instagram post
00:40:16where you can see them in the last frame and someone was like, Josie, if Freddie
00:40:19saw those shoes she'd be so livid, and she would be. I like the
00:40:24edging on these, I think Em was wearing these last time I
00:40:27saw her in London and she got them absolutely soaked, but
00:40:29hers were a darker colour. What do we think? I quite like this
00:40:34detail, it's a little bit Yellowstone, if you
00:40:38understand the vibe. Up next, this adorable
00:40:42little shirt, and I very much chose this
00:40:45with gardening in mind. It's got this lovely floral pattern over it,
00:40:50quite an old-fashioned kind of floral pattern, really oversized, again great for
00:40:54holidays, really big wide kind of balloon style
00:40:58or fluted style sleeves. That's gorgeous, such nice lightweight
00:41:02material, and even look at this pretty little detail inside the neckline,
00:41:06that's just so sweet. By the way, I clustered up my rings together
00:41:11on my engagement ring finger and I really like how they look.
00:41:15Yeah, that's really sweet, I think that's the kind of shirt I'll get a lot of wear
00:41:18out of when gardening in the warmer months.
00:41:21It feels really weird showing you clothes in the kitchen, I actually
00:41:24didn't realise how clothes heavy this order was when I started unpacking.
00:41:28Wow, really lovely shirt dress, this is a super lightweight material, feels
00:41:34quite linen-y. If you are going somewhere where you need to be a little bit more
00:41:38covered up, then this will be a beautiful option, and
00:41:40you've got this gorgeous floral detail on the top of the
00:41:45shirt. Okay, up next is this beautiful little
00:41:49dress, I think this would be so nice for something like a
00:41:52Goodwood revival or, you know, early summer kind of parties,
00:41:58also late summer when you're starting to want to include
00:42:01autumnal colours but you still want a summery silhouette.
00:42:04We have seen a lot of brown in spring outfits this year, I would say more than
00:42:09ever, and I think the silhouette of this is
00:42:11just going to be absolutely gorgeous. I love a pleated
00:42:14smocked bodice and it's a really lovely length, so
00:42:17do I think the colour is the most spring-like? No,
00:42:20but is it worth holding on to because of how lovely it is?
00:42:24Quite possibly, let me know what you think.
00:42:27I just caught like a glimpse of this song,
00:42:31and it sounds a little bit like the Vlogmas intro, and I think it's actually
00:42:35the same composer.
00:42:46Alexa, what song is this?
00:42:50That is the composer of the Vlogmas intro, oh my gosh,
00:42:56I miss listening to that song every day, it's so beautiful.
00:42:59This is so similar, he's obviously got a style.
00:43:05Lovely, absolutely beautiful. Penultimate is this pair of jeans which I just
00:43:10think are going to be so cute, so fun. This year I want to do more
00:43:14fun outfits, I just want to enjoy my wardrobe a little
00:43:18bit more, and I think the bottom of these,
00:43:20with the scallops and the embroidery and the colour, just make them so much more
00:43:24fun. There's nothing too wild about them, but
00:43:26it's just that little detail that when people notice it,
00:43:29it's just going to bring a smile to your face.
00:43:33The only thing is, what do you pair it with? Because I don't have much red in my
00:43:37wardrobe, so it's thinking about what I would wear on
00:43:40top, maybe one of my little lily silk cashmere
00:43:43t-shirts, that kind of thing could be really nice,
00:43:46but I think the fit of these is going to be really lovely, so
00:43:49fingers crossed. And last but not least, these look like
00:43:53pantaloons, the most voluminous little shorts in the entire world,
00:43:57or not so little, they're actually ginormous, they look like Bridget Jones
00:44:01shorts. They've got this little bit of green
00:44:03detail down at the bottom, which I think is so pretty.
00:44:06I'm just not sure if the silhouette is going to be flattering, but you guys will
00:44:09see what they look like on the screen now, so let me know what
00:44:12you think. I know there's been a little bit more fashion than usual on
00:44:15the channel lately, I think I mentioned either yesterday or in the last vlog
00:44:19that I'm just kind of trying to have a little bit more fun
00:44:21with outfits and get back into the groove
00:44:23of creating more fashion content, so hopefully you don't mind, hopefully
00:44:28one or two things might have sparked a little bit of interest
00:44:32and we're trying to make it a lot more shoppable as well with the QR codes and
00:44:35things, so yeah, hopefully you're enjoying, but
00:44:39there we go, that's my anthropology order.
00:44:42And just for a little bit of normality, I've also got a seed order.
00:44:49I feel like my obsession with buying new things to my wardrobe is definitely
00:44:54trumped by my obsession with buying seeds.
00:44:57Definitely a healthier obsession, that is for sure, and this
00:45:00order is from a company called Chilton Seeds,
00:45:03who I first discovered via Burford Garden Company, which
00:45:07as you know is my favourite place to shop for garden things,
00:45:10but yeah, Chilton Seeds you can buy directly from their website.
00:45:14So I chose just a little selection. I will pop photos of these plants on the
00:45:20screen here. We've got perpetual spinach, which
00:45:24apparently you can start sowing outdoors from April, but I'm going to start sowing
00:45:27these indoors from this weekend. We've got a purple
00:45:32summer sprouting purple sprouting broccoli.
00:45:35As I mentioned previously, broccoli doesn't normally do that well in my
00:45:38garden, but I want to give purple sprouting broccoli a go. Hopefully
00:45:42my pigeons won't be such a fan of this one. Then we've got chamomile
00:45:47because it's so nice in a tea, in herbal tinctures,
00:45:51so I wanted to try growing my own. Firebird Swiss
00:45:54chard. Swiss chard does really well in our garden and this looked like a really
00:45:58nice variety. Medinia spinach. Again, we just love
00:46:02spinach, we cook a lot with it, so the more we can grow the better.
00:46:06And then an edamame bean, which I did try growing last year,
00:46:11mixed success, so I thought I would try a new variety this year.
00:46:16These are probably the, like, up to the 20th seed packets, if not more, that I've
00:46:21bought already this year. I definitely have an addiction, but
00:46:26it's one that I'm happy to just run with. There are definitely
00:46:29worse things to be addicted to than buying seeds.
00:46:33Okay, my darlings, it's a couple of hours later. Made it to
00:46:36London and I'm meeting Em for a little sweet treat at the patisserie here at
00:46:41the Conor Hotel. It's a really sweet place to get some
00:46:45very fun, um, sweet treats. I'll show you in a
00:46:48second, but a quick outfit of the day update. I
00:46:51didn't have time to do anything with my hair, so
00:46:54just pop that back in a little bun. And I'm trying to detract attention with
00:46:58nice pearl earrings. I've popped on my little Celine jacket,
00:47:03LilySilk t-shirt, and then this lovely H&M pleated skirt. At the
00:47:09moment I'm wearing trainers, which is a little bit embarrassing, a little bit
00:47:14dorky, but I will be changing into my lovely
00:47:17Dior heels for our dinner tonight. So look out for
00:47:21the pink flag. They do great coffees and matches and
00:47:25things, and even better cakes. I'm excited.
00:47:30We've got our Valentine's or Galentine's goodies. I've got this lovely little
00:47:34hazelnut kind of tart, and this heart petal leaf
00:47:38creation in the middle. Em's gone for an apple tart, which looks delicious,
00:47:43and predictably, two matches.
00:47:56Good morning my darlings, coming to you on the road today. Last night in London
00:48:11was lots of fun, so after the lovely sweet
00:48:14treats at the corner with Em, it's always wonderful catching up with her,
00:48:18I actually went to Townhouse to get my gel nails taken off.
00:48:22I'm going to give them a little bit of a break from gel. I think I'm going to do
00:48:25my own at home, like, regular mani next week, and then I had a gorgeous
00:48:32dinner event with By Terry, which was at Mandrake
00:48:35Hotel. It was so, like, dark and sexy in there, there were people
00:48:38snogging in the lounge. The food was amazing,
00:48:41and it was to launch a new range of lipsticks that they're bringing out,
00:48:45which is centred around this beautiful bold
00:48:47red lip, but really kind of comfortable to wear
00:48:51velvety matte lipstick. Oh, traffic in the gods world!
00:48:56And I so nearly missed my train home. I didn't give myself quite
00:49:02enough time after leaving the dinner, and I always have to leave these events a
00:49:05little bit early until getting my train, and I had to
00:49:10run through Marylebone station. I was like, if I miss this train,
00:49:14I'm sitting in the station for an hour and I'm not going to be in bed till
00:49:16midnight, so that was quite a heart rate lifter.
00:49:20But anyway, so this morning I've just done Pilates, and I'm now
00:49:25driving currently through Stone the World, which is such a beautiful little
00:49:29town, and I've got another house viewing this morning.
00:49:35Exciting, and I don't know how much to say, but
00:49:39this is, this is not going to be a straw top cottage.
00:49:42This is something bigger, something potentially very, very exciting.
00:49:48I'm not gonna, you guys can read between the lines,
00:49:52but yeah, I'm really excited for this house viewing. I've got kind of
00:49:55butterflies in my tummy, and it's in a really amazing area close
00:50:00to some family, and yeah, I'm just really excited but
00:50:05really nervous. So two house viewings in one vlog with
00:50:09very different purposes. Anyway, I'm at the dreaded Stowe traffic
00:50:12lights. My appointment is in four minutes. It's
00:50:17gonna take me a little bit longer than that to get there,
00:50:19so yeah, I'll see you when we get there.
00:50:48Okay my darlings, I've just left the beautiful home, and it is
00:51:02absolutely stunning. There are four bedrooms there,
00:51:05a really big triple aga, finished absolutely beautifully, just all of the
00:51:12little details were so lovely, and I'm gutted that
00:51:16Charlie couldn't come and see it today, but yeah, really, really lovely to see,
00:51:22and we're in the most beautiful village. There's a
00:51:25little pub here, a little village shop, so something a
00:51:29little bit different. Anyway, I'm not gonna reveal too much,
00:51:33but hopefully I'll have some exciting things to share with you soon. So I'm
00:51:38gonna head home now, and yeah, tell Charlie
00:51:43everything that I've just seen. Oh my Dexy,
00:51:48you found a bit of sunshine in your kitchen.
00:51:51I know, it's been a tough morning.
00:52:13Now that is a seriously loaded avocado toast.
00:52:23These are amazing. This is the seed mix that I shared with you
00:52:28last vlog, or the one before. It's a real mixture, peas, chickpeas, lentils, and
00:52:33they're really sprouting, and this is just gonna be
00:52:36so full of goodness. Then I've also got my broccoli sprouts,
00:52:40and also my microgreens, which to be honest,
00:52:44I think after tomorrow's breakfast we need to start that again,
00:52:47because they've gone a little bit wild. These are my broccoli ones.
00:52:51I'm going to do less next time. I'm only going to do one tablespoon, not two,
00:52:54because these are, yeah, about a week old now, so I
00:52:59probably need to move on and do a new batch. Oh, I just
00:53:03love it. There's definitely more sprout than avocado on my avocado toast, but
00:53:07there's some dukkah in there as well. Oh, my dream breakfast.
00:53:18Just had my delicious avocado toast and smoothie. That was a very hearty brunch.
00:53:25Now I'm about to film the try-on clips for the anthropology pieces that you
00:53:29guys will actually have already seen earlier in the vlog,
00:53:31but I thought I would really quickly show you how I've been
00:53:35doing my hair with this. So yes, yesterday I did unbox that Revlon,
00:53:40whatever you call it, hair device, but I have been using this
00:53:44very, very frequently at home, especially on
00:53:47day one or day two. This is how my hair dries naturally.
00:53:52It's a little, it's a little bit fluffy, but just completely poker straight. I
00:53:58don't unfortunately have any movement in my
00:54:00hair, and this can give sleekness and that
00:54:03lovely little blow-dry flick at the bottom. So I thought I would just spend a
00:54:06couple of minutes showing you how I do that. So I haven't
00:54:09got anything on my hair at the moment, so I need to pop on some heat protectant.
00:54:14This is the GHD Bodyguard heat protect spray,
00:54:18specifically for coloured hair.
00:54:23Give it a good brush through. OK, now I'm going to separate my hair out,
00:54:28but the first thing I do is find my parting.
00:54:34I try and find it in the middle, and then I take the top
00:54:38third of my hair like so, and without dislodging the parting, I just spin it
00:54:45into a little bun on top of my head,
00:54:50and clip that out of the way. And I'm always going to start on this side.
00:54:56So the great thing about this is the actual bristles don't get hot,
00:54:59but down here and up here are hot. So you have to be careful, and yes I have
00:55:05lightly burnt myself one or two times. At the front
00:55:08I take smaller sections because then you get a more pronounced curl, and then as I
00:55:12go to the back I chill out a little bit. And I just kind
00:55:15of comb it through my hair
00:55:19a few times, just warm the hair up, and then I start to hold it at the bottom
00:55:28just for a few moments,
00:55:32and on the front sections I might curl it all the way up,
00:55:38just for around five seconds, and I only really do this on the front sections.
00:55:43And then when I'm releasing it, I twist it
00:55:46so that the hair kind of curls as it's released.
00:55:50I'll leave it like that, doesn't look great yet, but trust me
00:55:54it will. So already I'm using a section about twice the size,
00:55:59brushing it through a few times. I don't know if this does anything aside from
00:56:03maybe making it a little bit more sleek and less fluffy.
00:56:07Twisting...
00:56:11Sometimes I also pin it, but today I'm not going to bother.
00:56:18I think this is a trick to making it last a longer amount of time,
00:56:26this whole like end twist. I'm sure you can create this kind of effect with
00:56:30hair straighteners, but I just find that the curls
00:56:34look that little bit more natural when I use this.
00:56:37So it's probably been my go-to for the last
00:56:40eight months or so. And now I'm approaching the back of my head, the
00:56:44sections are getting quite a lot bigger, I have got
00:56:46a lot of hair. So just because I'm impatient, this is probably
00:56:50three inches worth of hair. But I just try to make sure, can you see here, I just
00:56:55try to make sure that as much hair as possible is touching the barrel.
00:57:01And then it's just a silly little thing, but on the last pull down I always try
00:57:05and make sure that it's a really good one, like a really good
00:57:08spread of the hair, because I always feel like that is
00:57:11how it sets. OK, and then when I get to the back,
00:57:16after a few more, I will swap sides.
00:57:42OK, I have now done both sides, I'm not brushing it out,
00:57:48and I do try to curl away from the face on both sides.
00:57:53So leaving that kind of set, now I'm going to grab
00:57:57the left hand side, might be your right, of my top, again keeping
00:58:06the parting, twisting this other side back into a little,
00:58:10kind of looks like a Danish pastry, and I'm basically going to be doing the
00:58:14same. This time I do it directionally towards my face, as in
00:58:20working from the back, but the same technique,
00:58:23slightly smaller sections of hair.
00:58:27OK, my battery died when I did this side, but
00:58:40I just randomly decided to do this. I've actually never done it like this before,
00:58:44I just pin the front section, but I thought
00:58:47why not give that bit a little bit of extra hold? So just doing the exact same
00:58:51thing, twisting away from my face,
00:58:55and giving it just a few seconds hold. Sometimes I do do this for every bit of
00:59:01hair, but it only makes the tiniest little bit of
00:59:04difference, so it depends how I'm feeling. Now
00:59:09grabbing this bit of hair, wrapping it around my fingers, following
00:59:14the shape of the curl, and I'm just popping one of these little hairdressers
00:59:18crocodile clips in it. There! So I look like Mickey
00:59:22Mouse, or some kind of Robocopter, but I'm just
00:59:26gonna let those sit just for a couple of minutes, and
00:59:30they'll cool down. And in the meantime, I just want to show
00:59:33you this really cute pair of shoes. So this is a new pair that I ordered
00:59:38from Giambitto Rossi. I have to say, I think Giambitto Rossi is
00:59:42probably my favourite luxury shoe brand. Price versus quality I
00:59:46think is amazing, and their designs are so versatile. I've had
00:59:50many of their shoes over my time, and I picked up this pair. And if you know
00:59:57my wardrobe well, you might be thinking, Josie, you've got
01:00:00a Dior pair very similar to this. Well, yes I do, and that was kind of
01:00:04the reason for picking these up. They have got some
01:00:08darker details than the Dior ones. Overall they are, they are darker,
01:00:12and I've worn those Dior ones pretty much
01:00:15every time I pop on a summer dress. I've been popping on those Dior shoes. They're
01:00:19actually starting to scuff a little bit on the tip, and it'd be nice to have an
01:00:23alternative. So I thought these could be dreamy. I find
01:00:27raffia so versatile. It goes with so many
01:00:30outfits. Oops. So I'm going to try styling them with a few of these
01:00:33anthropology outfits, and yeah, we'll see if they are versatile
01:00:37and comfortable enough for me to keep them. I got a 36.5.
01:00:41I'm normally between a 3 and a 4, so hopefully this should be a good size.
01:00:45Okay, it's five minutes later. I look like I'm searching for radio signal,
01:00:50and these have cooled down now. I'm going to pop on some of the Color Wow
01:00:54hairspray just over the curls, and I always try and spray
01:00:58up into the hair instead of down onto it, because it just helps with the hair not
01:01:03dropping so much. And then I'll unpin these.
01:01:08Little spray.
01:01:12And now, ideally, you want to not comb through the curls for as long
01:01:16as possible. I don't have all day to wait around today,
01:01:20so I'm just going to run my fingers through them. It's important you only do
01:01:24a really light hairspray, otherwise this would be tricky. And you can also
01:01:30use a wide tooth comb.
01:01:35So there we go. That is how I do it. I love the volume that this gives. It
01:01:40lasts a good amount of time for my hair. My
01:01:43hair is not the most long-lasting of any kind of style.
01:01:47So that's the finished look. I'm now going to film the try-on clips. We'll see
01:01:51how my hair looks next time I see you, because
01:01:54it'll be a few hours later and lots of outfit changes later, so
01:01:57you'll have already seen all these outfits. So yeah,
01:02:01I'll see you in a few hours. OK, I'm just jumping in here,
01:02:06mid-filming the try-on clips, which you'll have seen earlier in the vlog,
01:02:10to tell you how much I'm obsessed with these trousers. They are so comfortable.
01:02:14This is a denim unlike any denim I've felt before. It's
01:02:17really soft and it's got quite a lot of stretch to it. I'm
01:02:20considering sizing up, just because I've decided it's definitely more flattering
01:02:24not to have too much fabric kind of clinging on, but
01:02:28the way that they drop is really lovely. I just
01:02:31love this scallop detail down at the bottom. I think it's so pretty.
01:02:36I do wish the embroidery was green, not red,
01:02:39just because I think you have to definitely wear a neutral coloured top.
01:02:42I've popped on this kind of linen-y top, which
01:02:45I got from
01:02:49Abercrombie. Yeah, I've ordered a few bits from them lately as well.
01:02:54I might show you that in the next vlog. I'm conscious there's a lot of fashion
01:02:58going on at the moment, like every vlog has got a little
01:03:00haul in it, as I said, trying to like figure out a few outfit combinations
01:03:04that I can rely on in the spring, but they fit so
01:03:07nicely. I think this pocket detail at the
01:03:10front is so flattering. Hair has still got the colour at the
01:03:13bottom, but it's going a bit flat at the top, so actually
01:03:16something else I like to do is use this. This is-
01:03:20whoa! This is the Living Proof dry volume and texture spray,
01:03:26and it does what it says on the tin! Adds mega volume
01:03:31and some hold as well, so I'm a big fan of that. Works really nicely on heatless
01:03:34curls. Oh, do you have to open a window? But yes,
01:03:38just wanted to jump in and tell you how amazing these trousers are. So
01:03:43filming outfits took a little bit longer than planned. It's now five o'clock, it's
01:03:47starting to get dark, and we're gonna have a super chilled
01:03:50evening having some nice pasta. I tried on some other outfits as well,
01:03:55just kind of putting together some looks, and this one I'll pop on the screen here
01:04:00was a major favourite, so hopefully by now
01:04:03this one might be either on my shorts or on TikTok, but
01:04:07we'll leave a little QR code so that you can shop it.
01:04:09This coat in particular, it's almost like a trench but it doesn't actually wrap
01:04:13around. Worn open I think is so so elegant, and
01:04:17the trousers are a lot more affordable than the Ralph Lauren ones,
01:04:20so I'm going to keep these and send back the very similar ones
01:04:24from Ralph. But yeah, I feel like I'm getting my flow back a little bit
01:04:29when it comes to the outfits, so I'm really looking forward to
01:04:32sharing a few more with you, which is quite funny considering how casual I am
01:04:36right now. LilySilk, LilySilk, and they've
01:04:40actually just restarted my discount code, so I think
01:04:44it's lsjosie20 for 20% off, or lsjosie25 on orders over,
01:04:49I think it's $480. It's quite a lot, but 25% off that amount
01:04:54is great, so there we go. The curls have lasted
01:04:58really well, the volume has gone a little bit, but really
01:05:01lovely curl. What's the word? Structure. Still. Anyway, I'm going to end the vlog
01:05:06here my darlings and go and make some lovely pasta,
01:05:09so thank you so much for watching. I'll see you very soon in the next one.
01:05:12Good night!
