00:00One of Gilas Pilipinas' hopefuls in their upcoming games in the final window of the FIBA Asia Cup qualifiers is veteran sharpshooter Calvin Oftana.

00:10What will Oftana's mindset be when he plays again for the national team? Here's teammate Justin Ilano with the report.

00:19The final window of the FIBA Asia Cup qualifiers is set for tomorrow, where Gilas Pilipinas will face two heavy hitters, Chinese Taipei and New Zealand.

00:28That's why every player and coach of our national team is going to contribute to walking away with two victories and sweeping the qualifying tournament.

00:36In addition, the team expects veteran marksman Calvin Oftana to step up with his excellent range and stellar defense.

00:43In the last four games for Gilas, Oftana averaged 5.3 points, 2.5 rebounds, and 0.5 assists.

00:51Gilas defeated Chinese Taipei last year, where Oftana played his best performance with 13 points, knocking down three three-pointers.

00:59I'm just proud of myself that I joined and was chosen by the coach team and the organization to play for them.

01:07I will do my best, not only in scoring, not everyone can score there, but in tajiballs, I will do my best.

01:15Oftana also stated that they aim to win the last two qualifier games and deliver a great performance, even though the team is already qualified for the FIBA Asia Cup.

01:24We should double our pay, because if we don't qualify, we can be bullied.

01:31But knowing that Filipinos are basketball fanatics, addicts to basketball, just one loss, you know, there's a lot to say.

01:40But we're not against them, it's their opinion.

01:44But we're qualified, so we need to work hard to improve.

01:49Because we shouldn't be satisfied with just being qualified.

01:54We want to evolve and improve the team.
