01:06No, no, the question is, you know, were the top three or four batsmen getting hundreds

01:10for big tournaments?

01:11Yeah, yeah, yeah, of course.

01:12I mean, that's the key to have success in this format.

01:16You know, your top three, four, five batsmen needs to get that big score for you to post

01:21a big score eventually.

01:23So I think, you know, our top four batters are quite experienced and once we know that

01:30once they are set, once they are in, they like to get those big runs.

01:34So they do understand that and everyone understands that, you know, between your top four, one

01:44has to get that big score.

01:47And in the World Cup, we've seen it as well when we played that ODI World Cup, you know,

01:52there were only a few hundreds that we scored, but we went on to score quite a few times,

01:59350 plus scores or 330 scores like that.

02:03So I think it's about all seven, eight batters chipping in, whether you get big score or

02:08not, but all seven or eight batters needs to contribute.

02:12And whatever the responsibility, whatever the understanding that we have of them, it's

02:16all about, you know, putting those contributions ahead.

02:22I've seen it in the recent past where even without scoring a hundred, the teams have

02:27managed to get par score or above par score in ODI format because everybody wants to chip

02:35in and everybody has chipped in.

02:38That will be our focus.

02:39We will not be looking at the individual milestone and stuff like that.

02:43Whoever the two batters are in there, they have to do the job and the guy goes in after

02:49that has a job to do as well.

02:52So if seven, eight of us think like that, we will end up getting the score that we are

02:57looking for.

02:58So it's just about everyone contributing to the cause.

03:02Rohit, are you happy with the form of your deputy Shubman Gill, considering he struggled

03:07a bit in Australia and after that he's come back, you know, with good runs in the series

03:13against England?

03:14No, no.

03:15Look, Gill is a very, very classy player.

03:17There was never a doubt about his ability in this squad.

03:22You know, the formats, I think we tend to mix formats and I don't think that's the right

03:28way to judge any player.

03:31You know, certain players have their strength in certain formats and if the one format doesn't

03:36go well, it doesn't mean that the other format will be the same, you know, and it's there

03:41for all of us to see what happened in Australia.

03:45Things have changed, you know, certainly in a different format.

03:48So with Gill, we know, you know, the numbers are crazy of Gill.

03:53You know, if you look at it, you know, he's been superb for us in the last three, four

03:58years that he has batted.

04:01And obviously there's a reason that he's been elevated to be the vice-captain of the team

04:08as well.

04:09So hopefully, you know, he has a great tournament and it eventually will help us achieve that

04:18things that we are looking to achieve.

04:20Rohit, you'll be playing all your games here in Dubai.

04:27The surface here produces results that are helpful for the chasers.

04:32Toss plays a vital factor actually.

04:35So in that context, you know, what are your… the 21 World Cup, 21 IPL, even IELT 20 recently,

04:43the chasing team was winning.

04:45So the luck plays a very big factor and you'll be playing all the games here.

04:52No, look, I don't…

04:56I never go with a set plan of thinking about this… in this venue, this has worked for

05:04certain teams.

05:05So we should try and do that.

05:07Whatever works for us, we will try and do that, whether it is batting second or batting
