00:00Senate President Chis Escudero reiterated that the Senate cannot hasten the impeachment trial of Vice President Sara Duterte.
00:09In a press conference this morning, Escudero said that the impeachment proceedings will begin on June 2 when the Congress will session again.
00:19There are many things that need to be clarified in the Rules of Impeachment in order for justice to be served to all parties.
00:26He said that he will wait for the Supreme Court's decision on the petitions filed regarding impeachment.
00:32Escudero also responded to the letter of Senate Minority Leader Coco Pimentel and others who gave their opinion on the word forthwith or that the impeachment trial should start immediately.
