00:12Known for his exceptional ball-hocking ability, football IQ, and leadership on the field,

00:17Bayard's journey to NFL stardom was not handed to him, he earned it through sheer hard work

00:22and relentless determination. Growing up in Philadelphia, Bayard faced early personal

00:27challenges that shaped his character and work ethic. When he was just 14, his parents divorced,

00:34and he moved with his mother and siblings to Atlanta, Georgia. Despite the difficulties he

00:39faced, Bayard remained focused on sports, and it was there in Atlanta that his football journey

00:44truly began to take shape. At Martin Luther King Jr. High School in Lithonia, Georgia,

00:50Bayard participated in both football and track. Although he wasn't initially regarded as a

00:54top-tier recruit, his competitive drive and dedication to improving his game were evident.

01:06and desire to improve paid off when he received a scholarship to play for the Middle Tennessee

01:11State University Blue Raiders. Although he wasn't heavily recruited out of high school,

01:22Bayard retired his first year at MTSU in 2011, which allowed him to refine his skills before

01:28stepping into a starting role the following year. In his first season as a starter in 2012,

01:41earned him Honorable Mention All-Conference USA honors, and he continued to build on that success
