00:00Almost 1,000 vehicles were supposed to be sent to Kota Kinabalu in Dakwa Tersadai in Kelang Port after the cargo ship, which brought it to the fire on 3 December last year.
00:13On the way to the island of Borneo, the cargo ship was reported to have been burned at 9.1 Batu Nautika near Tanjung Labuh, Batu Pahat, forcing it to be returned to Kelang Port.
00:27A video posted on TikTok shows the state of the vehicles parked at the port.
00:33In addition to claiming that the owner of the vehicle must pay 60% of the value of the car if he wants to get their vehicle back.
00:40A vehicle owner, Firdaus Muhammad Yuzza, told FMT that almost three months had passed since the incident of the ship's fire.
00:48However, the cause has not yet been determined and so far their car has been detained.
00:55Now the issue is that the total loss of the car is total loss, but the good car is not allowed to be released.
01:04I got information from the agent that the car was detained because there was a clause that said that if the car was burned at sea, the company would pay for it.
01:25It is called GA, General Average.
01:30So the car owners have to pay the ship according to the value of the car, 60% of the value of the car.
01:43Firdaus, 41, who was the first to deliver a car to Sabah, said he and other victims were not sure if the GA clause needed to be paid by the shipping company or the vehicle owner.
01:56The father of the three eyes was upset when the vehicle owner was accused of failing to take maritime insurance protection after paying RM2,740 to deliver his car to Tawau.
02:11Because we think RM2,700 includes insurance, the agent did not explain whether to take insurance or not, the agent did not explain.
02:20We don't know that because it's not in our field.
02:25Firdaus, who had just moved from Kuala Kansar to Tawau three months ago, now has to bear unnecessary costs when forced to use e-calls in everyday matters.
02:36In addition, when a new training session begins.
