00:00I think they had to evacuate the building and everything, sent the hotel guests along
00:05with convention attendees into the cold night, many still dressed in their furry, furry tops.
00:10Welcome to Miss Mojo, and today we're counting down our picks for the most hilarious blunders
00:14on live news.
00:16I'm so stupid.
00:22Number 10.
00:23The Wrong Beavers.
00:24I'm trying to check this out.
00:25It's a very curious beaver.
00:27A Maryland sheriff's office says they got a call from a local store saying the beaver
00:32was wreaking havoc in the Christmas section.
00:35Our first blooper comes from the morning show KJRH's Two Works for You Today.
00:41The anchors discussed an adorable report about a beaver trashing a dollar store in Maryland.
00:46This caused anchor Daniel Wynn to crack a joke about how unusually cute this beaver
00:50was, at least compared to the ones he's seen.
00:53Those little guys are cute and cuddly looking.
00:55The beavers I've seen are bigger.
00:57And not.
00:58Yeah, and they don't look as friendly, so I don't know, maybe I've seen my beavers in
01:03the wrong place.
01:06Moving on.
01:09All three anchors completely lose it.
01:12The team tries to segue into the weather segment, but the trio can't hold back their giggles.
01:16Yes, weather time.
01:18Yeah, this afternoon, not too bad.
01:23Temperatures in the 50s and 60s.
01:24Let's go to the maps.
01:2656 this afternoon in Tulsa, 62 down toward Macalester.
01:32They can barely even introduce the next story on therapy dogs, because they're laughing
01:36so hard.
01:37Anyway, well today, today therapy dogs will be sworn in at the Rogers County Courthouse.
01:42They will.
01:43We will let you know how they will work to help crime victims and children inside courtrooms.
01:49Number nine, the ugliest dog contest.
01:52Time for the annual world's ugliest dog competition.
01:55Oh my word, what happened to that?
01:59This next report is discussing California's annual world ugliest dog contest, which has
02:04been running since the 70s and can sometimes attract an audience of more than 20,000 people.
02:09The prize is an impressive $1,600 and a trip to New York City.
02:14As you might expect, some pretty hilarious looking dogs compete.
02:17They're so funny that in this clip, we can see a pair of anchors break completely while
02:22reporting on the contest.
02:33The priceless slideshow is played more than once, making you wonder if the crew just wanted
02:38to push the anchor to his limits.
02:58Our next blooper comes all the way from South Korea.
03:00And though we may not understand the words, we get the gist of the situation.
03:04The first mistake is a comical voice crack from a reporter out in the city.
03:08Things go further downhill when they cut back to the studio.
03:11The anchor begins her next story, but is rudely interrupted by the other reporter.
03:15She says something along the lines of, wow, my voice cracked.
03:18Unfortunately, the anchor is interrupted again immediately after.
03:21It's now a man's voice, telling the reporter off for not turning off her microphone.
03:37The studio anchors can't take it, making the report nigh on impossible.
03:42It seems the editors realise this too, suddenly cutting away mid-laugh.
04:05Our next blooper comes from back in the 80s.
04:08Those reporters just couldn't keep it together while reporting on a plague epidemic.
04:12This isn't the Black Death that wiped out much of Europe, thankfully.
04:17Instead, it's likely to have been a parasite that was once known as Beaver Fever, since
04:30it tends to infect rodents.
04:32As our older viewers will know, Beaver Fever is a euphemism.
04:36It's so funny that the second anchor can't hold it together, despite the dark nature
04:40of his report.
04:51They never even once say Beaver Fever, but we assume that just the thought causes such
04:57chaos.
05:20The celebrity Tardisauce, more commonly known as Grumpy Cat, has been a popular meme ever
05:25since first causing a sensation in 2012.
05:28An underbite and feline dwarfism combine to make her look grumpy constantly.
05:32Well, she was so famous that she was once interviewed on Australia's Today Show.
05:48This was partly because of a new book about the cat, which immediately became a bestseller.
05:53The anchor, Karl Stefanovic, tries to play it deadpan, asking questions he knows won't
05:58be answered.
05:59Eventually, he loses it, cracking up completely at the kitten's priceless expression.
06:15Grumpy Cat tragically died in 2019, only seven years old.
06:28But her image is immortalised in pop culture.
06:52This was originally a Polish Christian holiday, traditionally held on Easter Monday.
06:57It's known as Poland's Water Fight Day, so if you're visiting during Easter, bring a
07:02raincoat.
07:03It's also observed in some Polish-American communities, notably in Buffalo, New York.
07:08In the States, its traditional customs have blended with American ones.
07:11One of its rituals, involving a certain type of branch, can be incredibly funny to an outsider's
07:16ears.
07:25This name is also a side-splitter.
07:27It's so funny, Anderson Cooper could barely begin his report.
07:31Instead, he burst into laughter for a full minute.
07:34Live on TV.
07:42Our next blooper comes from a phenomenal story about a woman surviving a lightning strike.
08:02She wasn't expected to survive, and even died at one point.
08:05Heroically, she pulled through, making an amazing, inspiring recovery.
08:09The news station recorded an interview with the lady, but somehow it got completely messed
08:13up.
08:14It's hilarious.
08:33The anchor does a remarkable job of maintaining his composure, but we can hear the whole studio
08:37chuckle in the background.
08:39A final shot shows the other two anchors fighting an uphill battle to contain their giggling.
08:54fairies.
09:09Anthropomorphic animals have been a favourite of humans for at least 35,000 years.
09:13Numerous ancient Sumerian tales involve animals with human traits.
09:17Now, in the modern day, thousands of people worldwide carry on this tradition in the form
09:22of fairies.
09:23The fairy fandom is relatively new, with MSNBC presenter Mika Brzezinski learning about their
09:29existence live on TV.
09:31She finds it all too much and runs out of the studio, dying of laughter.
09:44Co-anchor Joe Scarborough has a hard time containing his giggles, and a third must know
09:49about fairies already, since he's the only one competently reporting.
10:03Our next blooper comes from a story about an inspiring pig, with one of the most memorable
10:07pig names in history, Chris P. Bacon.
10:26A local channel ended their newscast with a wholesome story about the pig, who has no
10:30back legs and needs a custom piggy wheelchair.
10:33When reporter Robert Bradfield read his name, it's impossible to maintain composure.
10:38He even asks his co-worker, Tori Shaw, to read the story for him.
10:46Unsurprisingly, Shaw was equally hysterical, leaving no one to finish the report.
10:54Bradfield was worried he'd be getting a telling off, but thankfully, no one minded.
11:05Before we unveil our top pick, here are a few honorable mentions.
11:08Eye so pale.
11:10The anchor makes this peculiar observation, failing to realize she's on air.
11:19Today snow is crippling much of the Washington lowlands.
11:22One of three inches of snow fell on Seattle and other areas.
11:26Hamster mugshot.
11:27The editors confused a hamster for a criminal.
11:38Middle finger on air.
11:40This is where the man didn't realize he was live.
11:59You have the option to be notified for occasional videos or all of them.
12:03If you're on your phone, make sure you go into your settings and switch on notifications.
12:09The sketchy sketch.
12:19Police sketches are usually drawn by trained artists, with hand drawing being the FBI's
12:24preferred method.
12:25Well, it seems not all of them are trained, as proven by this police sketch.
12:29As soon as it's shown to the anchor, you can see his battle to contain his laughter.
12:32He does a pretty good job, but loses it when they reveal the criminal's real appearance.
12:51Now that's a frame of news that should be remembered forever.
12:54We even hear his co-anchor struggling to hold it together.
12:56It's that funny.
12:57To this day, it remains a mystery how this sketch helped catch the perpetrator.
