00:00It's not a good image for our sport, that's for sure.
00:15There's a consensus or I would say a majority of the players that I've talked to in the
00:21locker room, not just in the last few days but also last few months, that are not happy
00:30with the way this whole process has been handled.
00:37Majority of the players doesn't feel that it's fair.
00:41Majority of the players feel like there is favorism happening.
00:44It seems like it appears that you can almost affect the outcome if you are a top player,
00:51if you have access to the top lawyers and what not.
00:56So we've seen on the social media Simona Halep and Tara Moore and some other players that
01:02are maybe less known that have been struggling to resolve their cases for years or have gotten
01:10the ban for years.
01:11I think right now it's a ripe time for us to really address the system because the system
01:20and the structure obviously doesn't work of anti-doping.
01:23It's obvious.
01:25So I hope that in the next period of the near future that the governing bodies are going
01:34to come together of our tours and the tennis ecosystem and try to find a more effective
01:41way to deal with these processes.
01:46So yeah, it's inconsistent and it appears to be very unfair.
01:56The inconsistency is something that frustrates all the players.
02:00If you are going to treat every case individually or independently, which is what's happening,
02:07then there is no consistency, then there is no transparency.
02:11Some cases are transparent, some are not.
02:14We know that there is a kind of a vague rule that I read that within a reasonable time
02:21you have to provide information where you got contaminated substance.
02:26He provided it in this, as I understand, six-hour window, but it doesn't say in the rules it's
02:31a six-hour.
02:32It's a reasonable time.
02:35So what's the reasonable time?
02:37Obviously sometimes in one case you can have a larger contamination.
02:43In some cases you have a smaller one, like in his case.
02:47The problem is that right now there is a lack of trust, generally, from the tennis players,
02:55both male and female, towards VADA and ITIA and the whole process.
03:00So we are either going to agree that all the cases will be transparent from the beginning
03:04or all will be kept private until they're resolved.
