00:00Many EastEnders actors have gone on to star in the big movies and on Sunday the 16th of
00:05February the BAFTA Film Awards ceremony took place. Here are some of the highlights with
00:11stars on the red carpet.
00:13It's been a great year for film this year. There's been so many films that I've really
00:18really loved and I loved The Out Run and I loved A Different Man and I loved Onora very
00:24much and The Brutalist and I mean I could sit down here for ages just listing the films
00:30that I really liked this year. Kneecap. It's just been a really diverse year. There's been
00:34lots of different stuff you know and it's really good to see the film industry thriving,
00:38telling new stories, telling interesting kind of you know things that people haven't heard
00:42of before.
00:43I loved The Brutalist. I thought that was just like a God given gift. It was incredible.
00:50And I saw Onora the other night. Mikey Maddison's performance was just absolutely mind-boggling.
00:56Yeah, there have been some really fantastic films this year.
01:02I found out last November. I was actually on the toilet reading my emails. Email from
01:08BAFTA, a letter attached saying you've been awarded a fellowship and then I was like excited
01:15and thought hang on it could be a scam so checked the email address it had come from
01:19and it was indeed an app BAFTA email address so then I got very excited. Jumped off the
01:24loo, ran round the house telling the kids and the dog. Yeah, delighted.
