00:09I've been lucky.
00:10I've sort of had final edit from the very beginning
00:13and I often work with the same crew and actors
00:17and they're great.
00:18I really can't remember.
00:21I reckon it's been two times in 25 years
00:28when there's been a difficult actor.
00:34The truth is you can't do anything really.
00:38You've got to take it on the chin
00:40and go, oh yeah, I see your point.
00:42Because they've got you by the balls.
00:44Because in a production, if you've got an actor in
00:47for a day or a couple of days or whatever,
00:52everything's in place.
00:53Sometimes you've got actors for one day
00:56and they're going on to another job
00:57where you've got a location for one day.
00:59You can't just fire an actor because they're being an a**hole
01:03because you've got to start again.
01:05You've got the weight of the world on your shoulders.
01:07I can't go to the studio and go,
01:09I fired him, he was annoying me.

01:11I'll go, I don't know.
01:12So you've got to sort of go f***ing on.

01:17And get the best out of them.
01:19You've got to treat them like f***ing children, really.
01:23Because they're spoiled
01:24and they've been made, they've been turned into children.
01:27Particularly actors, it's like it's all they've ever done.
01:31They've been acting since they were 18 or something
01:34or straight out of college.
01:35Everyone's doing stuff,
01:36but people f***ing tie your laces for you,
01:38get you coffee when you want it.
01:40I've seen actors gob their chewing gum
01:44into the f***ing make-up woman's hand.
01:47You know what I mean?
01:49So they're just like, they're spoiled little brats, right?
01:53But I haven't worked with any of them, to be honest.
01:57But when it happens, you've just got to get through it
02:00and never work with them again.
