Mubadala Health introduces comprehensive multidisciplinary treatments in Dubai

00:00Badla Health is an integrated healthcare network comprising of multiple hospitals and we provide

00:13a continuum of care across the various scope of services.

00:16So we have within Badla Health network from preconception like in our fertility centers

00:23to pediatric care, OBGYN, medical and surgical specialties and up to palliative care and

00:28rehabilitation medicine.

00:30We wanted to bring a flavor of that extensive network in Dubai which can also help as a

00:35continuum of care in terms of sites like you know as this is the first facility of Badla

00:40Health outside of Abu Dhabi.

00:41We have bring a conundrum of medical specialty services, pediatric specialty services and

00:48daycare surgery center which aims to address gap in the market and which provides as a

00:54supplementary multidisciplinary excellence care model in the region and around.

01:00Amana is one of the assets that's under Badla Health again it's something where we can like

01:05Rizwana was saying we want to be able to offer a service which goes from birth right until

01:09long term should a patient need it.

01:11I think it's been really important to add to why in Dubai is because we want that accessibility

01:17there.

01:18We want people to have the accessibility to that world class care that we're offering

01:21but also so that there's continuing care that we can provide to the patients that use any

01:26of our assets but also that we've got that multidisciplinary team approach to all the

01:30healthcare that we deliver.

01:32The process with the day surgery services is we're a standalone day surgery center which

01:36means that we can do all those day case procedures whether it be under orthopedics, whether it's

01:40general surgery, whether it's plastic surgery, anything that can be performed as a day case

01:45surgery we will perform as a day case surgery.

01:47Again we know that doing things through day case surgery it just means that the procedures

01:51are done in a safe manner however the recovery and enhancement of that patient's recovery

01:57is that much better through a day case process.

02:00So globally it's very much done and it's something that we also want to bring into Dubai as a

02:05standalone center.

02:07As a day surgery center we have got DHA requirements and remits to what we're able to perform as

02:11a day surgery center and any of those surgeries where they do need that patient to have the

02:16overnight stay or period of monitoring post surgery which we can't do in a day surgery

02:22center that is what we would be transferring to one of our other assets that can offer

02:26the inpatient services.

02:28So again we've still got that continuum of care where they're operated on by that same

02:32physician and looked after by just as experienced nurses and support teams in the recovery of

02:38that patient.

02:39Our unique specialties are like you know we have tier one trained physicians who are highly

02:45credentialed and who has worked at very renowned centers in the world part of our team.

02:50We have similarly very skilled and very efficient nursing team like you know which with a lot

02:56of internationally trained nurses same as with our therapy team and again the emphasis

03:01is not only on one particular genre like physician or nurses or facility but it's the multidisciplinary

03:06team and so we bring that amalgamation and armamentarium of services which complement

03:11each other and that helps enhancing the patient journey because you don't have to go to five

03:16different places for the same problem to get the right amount of attention and care.

03:21We do offer quite a few unique services here that we think are imperative to healthcare

03:26delivery in Dubai.

03:27One of them that we will be launching is a travel health clinic and a baby wellness clinic.

03:32Again these are services that are very much needed and that we feel that we're quite elite

03:36in what we can provide.

03:37The other service is the wellness hub or a microbiome center and this is with our partnership

03:44with G42 which is a leader in artificial intelligence, technology, genomics program and microbiome

03:52services.

03:53We have our gastroenterologist from UK.

03:55He's also a specialty trained in gastric physiology and he's very much interested in spearheading

04:02the project on providing these services, microbiome services.

04:06It's a very simple test done on a stool specimen that can predict or that can give you an idea

04:12about what your gut health, like you know what kind of problems could be anticipated

04:16in a person and that could be modified by a certain type of diet which modifies your

04:21microbiomes, microbiome flora in your gut and this is a multidisciplinary clinic which

04:27is led by a gastroenterologist, dietitian and genetic counsellor from G42.

04:33In addition to the G42 as well, we are looking at becoming a hub where we will be able to

04:38collect samples for the MRT genomic program and I think that will also be imperative in

04:44our contribution to what we can do to provide healthcare in the Middle East.
