England will continue to play an aggressive brand of cricket and it is up to the players to sustain it, says veteran seamer James Anderson, as the white-ball World Champions are preparing for the tour of Pakistan in Abu Dhabi.

00:00We want to be doing better in the test form of the game.
00:03We've had a few dodgy years where we're not where we want to be.
00:07The summer in England, the last six or seven games that we've played,
00:10we've started to turn things around a little bit, but it's about continuing
00:14that form, trying to keep improving as a team and playing the way
00:18that the captain and coach want us to play.
00:19They want to play an aggressive style of cricket
00:23that is entertaining for people to watch.
00:25I think that's excited all the players in the last few months.
00:28So we're again excited to try and carry that on in Pakistan.
00:31Well, I think that's our job to make it sustainable.
00:33I think we've got the talent in the team to be able to do it.
00:38And I think as we spend more time together
00:42and get used to playing this style of cricket, we'll learn
00:46when to be aggressive and maybe there will be times
00:48where we have to soak up pressure.
00:50But that's the skill of batting and bowling.
00:52As individuals, we've got to try and figure that out.
00:56But for me, we've shown over seven tests in England
01:00that we can sustain it for that long.
01:02So I don't see why we can't do it for the next few years.
01:04I think it's about finding a balance.
01:06I think it's difficult for bowlers to play all three formats,
01:08especially with the amount of cricket at an international level that there is.
01:12And obviously, there's so much franchise cricket going on around the world
01:15as well to add to that.
01:16I think it's difficult for bowlers to find that balance.
01:18But for me, I think there's still a balance there to be found
01:22where you do enough in the nets.
01:25I know that the gym side of things has become more important
01:28and probably there's more information around that now.
01:32And guys are spending a bit more time than they used to in the gym.
01:36But there is definitely a balance to be found.
01:38I think it's still important to get your overs in the nets.
01:40Honestly, I don't enjoy bowling at anyone, really.
01:44There's no one where I think, oh, I really want to bowl at him
01:47because everyone's pretty good these days or have been.
01:50You know, international cricket, everyone's, they're all good players.
01:53And in terms of, I don't think T20's changed or made it easier to get people out.
01:59I think the skill levels have gone up.
02:03People who play test cricket, people play all forms of the game,
02:06play all forms of the game because they've got a good defence as well as,
02:09they've got good technique as well as being able to hit big sixes
02:12and play all these funky shots.
02:15So, yeah, I don't think it's made it easier at all.
02:22Yeah, I don't think it's made it easier at all.
