00:00Mount Patukan in Calinga province is more known as Sleeping Beauty Mountain.

00:06But behind the beauty of the mountains, there is another tragic story of destruction.

00:18The legend of Sleeping Beauty Mountain is one of the favorite stories of the people of Calinga.

00:25According to one version of the story,

00:27the beauty of a mountain is known all over the province.

00:31It is called Lubting.

00:33It is said that it is visited by men.

00:38One of the lovers of Lubting is Mawangga.

00:44Because of his courage and determination, he agreed to marry Binata.

00:48Tinglayan went home to Mawangga to inform his parents about Lubting's marriage.

00:57But there was a fierce fight between the tribes of Tinglayan where Mawangga was killed.

01:04Because of the fierce fight,

01:06Lubting did not leave the mountain where Mawangga was supposed to meet them until his funeral.

01:15Many believe that the woman looking at Mount Patukan is none other than Lubting.

01:24Sleeping Beauty Mountain is very difficult to climb.

01:30Today is the 30th founding anniversary of the province of Calinga.

01:35Every week, they also celebrate the Calinga Potong Festival which is recommended by many tourists.
